LA PLATA AREA

THEFT/ BREAK-INS

MITCHELL RD., 8900 block, Dec. 27 to Feb. 14. A 2000 Honda all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a shed at a residence.

NANJEMOY AREA

HOMICIDES

RISING SUN PL., 8:38 p.m. Feb. 13. A man, 29, shot another man, 21, after he attempted to help a woman, 35, during a domestic dispute. The victim was flown to Washington Hospital Center, where he died as a result of his injuries. The suspect was charged with first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree assault.

WALDORF AREA

ASSAULTS

OLD WASHINGTON RD., 3200 block, 12:30 a.m., Feb. 13. A man, 26, displayed a gun when security officials at Club V asked him to leave. A brief struggle ensued. He was charged with two counts each of first- and second-degree assault and failure to obey a lawful order.

ROBBERIES

IRISH LORD PL., 5500 block, 12:30 a.m. Feb. 13. Three suspects approached a male youth, 15, displayed a handgun and demanded property and money. The youth complied but was then assaulted by two of the suspects, with one using a stun gun. They fled the scene, possibly in a brown SUV with a brush guard/grill cover.
