COLUMBIA AREA

ROBBERIES

FORELAND GARTH, 6000 block, 3:52 p.m. Feb. 18. A male at a gas station counter announced a robbery and demanded cash while keeping his hands in his pocket, implying he had a handgun. The robber took cash from a clerk, then fled toward Airybrink Lane.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

STERRET PL., 5500 block, 4:45 p.m. Feb. 12 to 8:05 a.m. Feb. 13. A door to a business was forced open. Nothing was reported taken.

STONE CLOUD, 8900 block, 6:50 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. Feb. 12. Two rifles and a laptop computer were stolen from a residence entered through a rear lower level window and then ransacked.

TURNABOUT LANE, 5900 block, Feb. 10 to Feb. 12. A neighbor watching a residence saw a person inside and found that objects had been moved.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

BASKET RING RD., 9600 block, 12:59 a.m. Feb. 13. A silver 1989 Ford Thunderbird was stolen. The vehicle was recovered and a juvenile was arrested.

CEDAR LANE, 5400 block, 2 p.m. Feb. 14 to 3 p.m. Feb. 15. A blue 1989 Buick LeSabre was stolen.

LITTLE PATUXENT PKWY., 10300 block, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 14. A blue 2000 Honda Civic, which contained a .22-caliber rifle with scope in the trunk, was stolen.

SILVER TRUMPET DR., 8300 block, Feb. 11 or Feb. 12. A 1996 Acura was stolen.

SWEET CLOVER, 7400 block, 1:05 p.m. Feb. 13. An apparent attempt was made to steal a van, damaging the vehicle's steering column.

ELKRIDGE AREA

ROBBERIES

PORT CAPITAL DRIVE AND ROUTE 1, 12:50 p.m. Feb. 13. Two males robbed a person at gunpoint as the person was leaving an ATM located inside a bar. The robbers fled on foot toward Port Capital Drive.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ELKRIDGE HEIGHTS RD., 5700 block, 11 a.m. Feb. 13. A person reported that tools and a lawn mower were taken from a shed that was broken into more than a year ago.

SECOND ST. N., 1000 block, 2 p.m. Feb. 17. A business office trailer was entered by forcing open a window. A crow bar was recovered nearby. Nothing was reported taken.

ELLICOTT CITY AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

COLLEGE AVE., 4100 block, 1:15 a.m. Feb. 17. Two windows were broken and sodas were stolen by a juvenile resident at the Maryland Alternative Care House at Taylor Manor Hospital. The juvenile fled and was considered by police as a runaway.

HUNTING HORN DR., 5400 block, Feb. 3 to Feb. 6. An attempt was made to enter a residence by prying open a rear screen door.

WETBANKS LANE, 8900 block, Jan. 7. A residence was entered.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ROUTE 40, 8600 block, Feb. 13 or Feb. 14. A van was stolen.

ROUTE 40, 8400 block, 9:50 p.m. Feb. 12 to 12:50 a.m. Feb. 13. A black 1995 Cherokee Jeep was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

GUILFORD RD., 10800 block, 6:12 to 8:16 a.m. Feb. 13. A VCR, a laptop computer and a projector were stolen from a residence entered by prying open a door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

GUILFORD RD., 9900 block, Feb. 14. A 2002 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen.

LAUREL AREA

ROBBERIES

COLUMBIA RD., 7600 block, 10:40 p.m. Feb. 12. A male and a female in a convenience store announced a robbery. The female implied she had a weapon under her jacket, while the male ordered a clerk to open a cash register. The robbers took cash from the register and fled toward Guilford Road.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HARMONY LANE, 9800 block, 4:59 p.m. Feb. 16. An unoccupied new residence was entered. Two juveniles were arrested.

ROUTE 1, 9400 block, 7:59 a.m. Feb. 15. A person saw three males kick open the door to a storage shed adjacent to a business. The males did not enter the shed and fled in a yellow box truck. Nothing was reported taken.

COVERED WAGON DR., 9700 block, 3:22 p.m. Feb. 15. A green 1996 Ford Escort was stolen.

DAVIS AVE., 9300 block, 4:58 p.m. Feb. 16. A Ford pickup truck was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

FREDERICK RD., 12700 block, 12:48 to 12:56 a.m. Feb. 19. A cash drawer and cigarettes were stolen from a convenience store.
