FIELDER, Olga Edith, 94, of La Plata, former administrator for the Agriculture Department, died Feb. 24 at her home.

FRENETTE, Diane Elaine, 54, of Waldorf, retail cashier, died Feb. 21 at her home.

HAYES, Benjamin Louis Newton, 86, of Bryans Road, retired fireman for St. Elizabeth's Hospital, died Feb. 24 at his home.

NEWCOMB, Kathryn "Kittie" Cochrane, 84, of La Plata, former schoolteacher, died Feb. 20 at Morningside House in Hanover.

SIMPSON, Thomas Raymond, 81, of Waldorf, retired corporate secretary, died Feb. 22 at Civista Medical Center.

ST. MARY'S COUNTY

HAYDEN, Norma Louise, 72, of Abell, executive assistant at the Treasury Department, died Feb. 24 at St. Mary's Hospital.

JOHNSON, Joseph Francis, 75, of Mechanicsville, school custodian, died Feb. 22 at Prince George's Hospital Center.

MONAHAN, Edward Parmer, 81, of Leonardtown, former Navy pilot, died Feb. 23 at St. Mary's Nursing Center.

MURPHY, James Frederick, 74, of Mechanicsville, farmer, died Feb. 21 in Mechanicsville.

RUSSELL, Mary Gertrude, 78, of Valley Lee, homemaker, died Feb. 19 at St. Mary's Hospital.

SIMPSON, Elvie "Teeny" Mae, 63, of Mechanicsville, bookkeeper, died Feb. 19 at St. Mary's Hospital.

TIPPETT, William Herman Sr., 60, of Mechanicsville, airline ramp serviceman, died Feb. 18 in Mechanicsville.
