Southwest Plans

Flight to San Diego

Southwest Airlines is adding a daily nonstop flight from BWI to San Diego, beginning July 6.

During the last year, the Dallas-based discount airline started its first coast-to-coast flights with daily nonstops from Baltimore to Los Angeles and San Jose.

The airline is also expected to add its12th daily nonstop flight between Baltimore and Providence on July 6. Southwest is BWI's largest carrier, operating 150 nonstop departures a day to 34 cities.

Parking, Road Signs

Due for Installation

New roadway and parking signs are being installed during the next three to four months at BWI as part of the airport's $1.8 billion expansion

The signs will direct passengers to parking areas and tell travelers approaching the airport which lots are open and how much space is available. They also will guide motorists to alternate locations when parking lots are closed temporarily.
