ROBBERIES

BRADLEY BLVD., 5000 block, 11:50 p.m. Feb. 22. A youth grabbed a 27-year-old Bethesda woman's purse. During a struggle, the strap broke and he fled with her property.

FRIENDSHIP BOULEVARD AND WISCONSIN AVENUE, 2:45 a.m. Feb. 23. A man and a woman asked a 20-year-old Chevy Chase woman for directions, then held a knife to her throat and robbed her of cash.

WESTLAKE DR., 10300 block, 4:15 a.m. Feb. 25. A man armed with a knife forced a bakery manager inside the business and made her open the safe, then fled with cash.

WISCONSIN AND HAMPDEN AVENUES, Feb. 16. Two men robbed two teenagers of snowboards, punched one victim in the face, then fled in a waiting car. In Rockville later that day, police stopped a vehicle matching a description of the getaway car and arrested a 19-year-old Rockville man and a 19-year-old Pennsylvania man. The stolen snowboards were located in the trunk of the car.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRENNAN LANE, 6800 block, 4:27 to 5:27 a.m. Feb. 13. A computer and a video game were stolen from a residence entered through a garage.

PARK AVE. S., 4400 block, 9:45 to 10:55 a.m. Feb. 21. A computer was stolen from a residence.

RADNOR RD., 7500 block, 5 p.m. Feb. 18 to 8 a.m. Feb. 19. A backpack was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a garage door.

RIVER RD., 5200 block, 7 p.m. Feb. 11 to 3:55 a.m. Feb. 12. Cash was stolen from a business entered by prying a door.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 11800 block, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13. A DVD-CD player was stolen from a residence entered through a front door.

TUCKERMAN LANE, 5500 block, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 18. A watch was stolen from a residence entered by opening a locked front door.

ROBBERIES

CHALET DR., 18200 block, 9 p.m. Feb. 23. A man in a parking lot robbed a 26-year-old Germantown man of cash at gunpoint.

DUNBAR TER., 13700 block, 11 a.m. Jan. 22 to 11 a.m. Feb. 22. A window was broken during an attempt to enter a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BARNESVILLE RD., 18000 block, 9 p.m. Feb. 14 to 1 a.m. Feb. 15. A motorcycle was stolen from a residence entered through a garage.

BENT WILLOW CIRCLE, 18800 block, midnight to 5:45 a.m. Feb. 9. A residence was entered through an unlocked sliding door. Nothing was reported missing.

FREDERICK RD., 20200 block, Feb. 15 to Feb. 19. A BB gun, jewelry and a knife were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a back door.

ASSAULTS

ROYAL BONNET CIRCLE, 18000 block, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 22. A 41-year-old Derwood man was charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, first-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property over $500 in connection with an incident at this location.

ROBBERIES

FREDERICK AVE. N., 500 block, 4:27 a.m. Feb. 23. Cash was stolen from a sandwich shop entered by breaking through a front door.

GROVER RD., 9500 block, 5:20 to 5:25 p.m. Feb. 21. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

HORIZON RUN RD., 9600 block, 9:23 p.m. Feb. 13. A gunman demanded money from a 63-year-old Gaithersburg man removing items from his vehicle. The assailant fled on foot without obtaining anything.

RUSSELL AVE., 700 block, 8:45 p.m. Feb. 22. Four males jumped a 17-year-old Gaithersburg boy at a bus stop, demanded cash, stabbed him in the back, and fled. No injuries were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CRABBS BRANCH WAY, 16700 block, 6 p.m. Feb. 18 to 5:38 a.m. Feb. 19. Cigarettes were stolen from a service station entered by breaking a front door.

AUGUSTINE WAY, 7600 block, 11:45 a.m. to 2:05 p.m. Feb. 14. An attempt was made to pry a window at a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

BEAVERCREEK LANE, 8800 block, noon to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 14. A window at a residence was pried. Nothing was reported missing.

BOOTH ST., 100 block, 6 p.m. Feb. 15 to 4:30 a.m. Feb. 16. Cash was stolen from a dry-cleaning business entered by breaking a front door.

DARNESTOWN RD., 12300 block, 10 p.m. Feb. 15 to 3:53 a.m. Feb. 16. A cashbox was stolen from a service station entered by breaking a front door.

GRAND CORNER AVE., unit block, 11:49 p.m. Feb. 22. Two males broke through glass doors on a store's upper-level parking lot and stole 23 handguns from a display counter and a storage room. The burglary was discovered by store employees the next morning; the burglars' actions were recorded on surveillance cameras. An alarm that had been activated during the break-in was cancelled by store management because several false alarms had been received earlier in the evening.

HARRON VALLEY WAY, 20100 block, 7:50 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Feb. 19. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

MARATHON TER., 9600 block, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 13. A patio door at a residence was broken. Nothing was reported missing.

MAYHILL CT., unit block, Feb. 12 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 15. Cameras were stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

NORTH SUMMIT DR., unit block, 11 p.m. Feb. 17 to 7 a.m. Feb. 18. An attempt was made to pry a door at a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

PEPPERTREE LANE, NEAR CONNECTICUT AVENUE, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18. Two people, one a man armed with a knife, took property from a 45-year-old Silver Spring man as he walked on a footpath.

CASTLE TER., 3600 block, 5 a.m. Feb. 16 to 3:40 a.m. Feb. 19. A rear window at a residence was broken. Nothing was reported missing.

COLESVILLE RD., 8400 block, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14. Cash and food were stolen from a pastry business entered by cutting through a wall.

DECEMBER DR., 1500 block, 3:30 to 5 p.m. Feb. 24. DVDs, clothing and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered through a back door.

GATEWAY TER., 3800 block, 8 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Feb. 12. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a sliding-glass door.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 10200 block, 8 p.m. Feb. 15 to 9:45 a.m. Feb. 18. An attempt was made to enter a residence through a side door. Nothing was reported missing.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 12700 block, 4:41 a.m. Feb. 16. Cash, a cash register, cigarettes, beer and wine were stolen from a convenience store entered by breaking a side door.

OLD COLUMBIA PIKE, 15500 block, 1:50 to 2:05 a.m. Feb. 15. A pizza shop was entered by breaking a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

WAYNE AVE., 960 block, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 17. Cash was stolen from an office entered by prying a frame on a rear door.

WHEATON/GLENMONT DISTRICT

ROBBERIES

BEL PRE RD., 3000 block, 9:40 p.m. Feb. 22. Three male teenagers took a wallet from a 48-year-old Wheaton man at gunpoint. When the victim grabbed it back and screamed, the assailants fled on foot.

GRANDVIEW AVE., 11200 block, 9:25 p.m. Feb. 19. Two Wheaton boys, ages 15 and 16, and a 15-year-old District boy were arrested and charged with attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and attempted theft under $500 in connection with an incident at this location.

HATHAWAY DRIVE AND WELLER ROAD, 12:21 a.m. Feb. 21. A man armed with a shotgun and another man approached a 41-year-old pedestrian and pushed him to the ground, struck him with an unknown object, and robbed him of property.

LAYHILL RD., 14500 block, 9:25 p.m. Feb. 22. Three men assaulted and robbed a 20-year-old Silver Spring man at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BARBARA RD., 12500 block, 8:30 p.m. Feb. 20 to midnight Feb. 21. Telephone equipment was stolen from a residence.

GLENALLEN AVE., 2200 block, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 to 7:05 p.m. Feb. 12. Cash was stolen from a residence entered by prying a sliding-glass door.

HAYES AVE., 10600 block, 7:30 to 8:55 p.m. Feb. 14. A purse and its contents were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

JUDSON RD., 12200 block, 7 a.m. Jan. 15 to 3 p.m. Feb. 10. A residence was entered by breaking a rear window. Nothing was reported missing.

JUTLAND RD., 2800 block, 11:10 to 11:50 a.m. Feb. 24. Computer equipment, video-game equipment and games, and DVDs were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

LAMBERTON DR., 700 block, 4:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 20. Stereo equipment and videos were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

MATEY RD., 12800 block, 7:05 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Feb. 14. A VCR and video-game equipment were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear window.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 14100 block, 4 p.m. Feb. 22 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

PARKER AVE., 2100 block, 12:30 to 12:37 a.m. Feb. 22. Property was stolen from a residence entered by opening a garage door.

BALTIMORE RD., 2000 block, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24. An attempt was made to enter a residence by prying a side window. Nothing was reported missing.

BALTIMORE RD., 2000 block, noon Dec. 2, 2003 to Feb. 12, 2003. Mail, including three DVDs and a personal check, was stolen from a mailbox.

CRABB AVE., 700 block, 10 p.m. Feb. 20 to 5:30 a.m. Feb. 21. Two tires were stolen from a vehicle.

MONTGOMERY AVE. W., 1200 block, 5:30 p.m. Feb. 22 to 6:30 a.m. Feb. 23. In connection with an incident at this location, two Rockville men, ages 18 and 19, and a 19-year-old Gaithersburg man were charged with theft, malicious destruction of property and possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1600 block, 3:30-3:40 p.m. Feb. 21. A male in a store used a razor blade remove CDs from their packaging.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 800 block, 5 to 5:05 p.m. Feb. 21. A man walked out of a business without paying for a case of beer.

TWINBROOK PKWY., 12900 block, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 21. A wallet and a pair of sweatpants were stolen.

ASSAULTS

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7400 block, 9:20 p.m. Feb. 26. Three males, one armed with a handgun, forced their way into an apartment and assaulted three men and a woman. By the time police arrived, three of the victims had fled, one of whom had been in a fight with one of the intruders. Nothing was reported missing.

ROBBERIES

BRIGHTON AND HOUSTON AVENUES, 3:40 a.m. Feb. 23. Four males got out of a beige four-door automobile and robbed a male pedestrian of property.

MAPLE AVE., 7600 block, 1:50 a.m. Feb. 22. Six youths stopped a man entering an apartment building and robbed him of property at knifepoint. The victim was treated at the scene for a cut finger.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7300 block, 10:41 p.m. Feb. 25. A woman getting out of her vehicle was robbed of property at gunpoint by two young males, who fled in a four-door vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

EASTERN AVE., 6700 block, 1:30 to 3:20 p.m. Feb. 26. A 1992 Plymouth Voyager was stolen.

ELM AVE., 300 block, 11 p.m. Feb.20 to 10 a.m. Feb. 21. A 1997 Plymouth Voyager was stolen.

MAPLE AVE., 7700 block, 2 to 10:15 p.m. Feb. 21. A 1995 Honda Accord was stolen.
