SEXUAL ASSAULTS

APPLE RD., 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 18. A 22-year-old man molested a female while they were on a bed, then took her home.

ROBBERIES

BLADENSBURG RD., 1200 block, 1:10 p.m. Feb. 20. A man armed with an unidentified object robbed a man of property at a gas station.

HAREWOOD RD., 4200 block, 4:45 a.m. Feb. 19. Two males approached a male pedestrian, demanded property and struck him in the face. The assailants fled in a vehicle.

KENILWORTH AVE., 700 block, 12:58 to 1 a.m. Feb. 16. Two males, one armed with a gun, entered a convenience store and demanded that an employee open a cash register. The unarmed male jumped over the counter and took money from the register.

KENILWORTH AVE., 1600 block, 3:45 to 4 p.m. Feb. 16. Three males took keys from a male, knocked him down and fled.

NANNIE HELEN BURROUGHS AVE., 5700 block, 12:55 to 1 p.m. Feb. 20. Three males, one armed with an unidentified object, robbed a female pedestrian of a wallet. A man, 36, was arrested.

NEW YORK AVE., 1800 block, 6 p.m. Feb. 18. A female driver picked up a female passenger at a bus terminal, drove to a gas station and demanded cash. When the passenger refused, the driver took property from her, pushed her out of the vehicle and kicked her. The driver fled with a male passenger.

NORTH CAROLINA AVE., 1300 block, 8:35 p.m. Feb. 20. Two males, one armed with a gun, approached a male in a vehicle and robbed him of cash.

NORTH CAPITOL AND H STREETS, 10 p.m. Feb. 19. Three male teenagers punched a female pedestrian and unsuccessfully tried to take her tote bag.

PICKFORD PL. AND F ST., 10:25 p.m. Feb. 18. Two males, one armed with a gun, robbed two pedestrians of credit cards, a cell phone and cash.

QUEEN ST., 1100 block, 9:20 p.m. Feb. 17. A gunman took property from a female at a home . A man, 39, was arrested.

SOUTH DAKOTA AVE., 5100 block, 3:45 to 3:55 p.m. Feb. 13. Three teenagers punched a male teenager in the face and took his cell phone.

FIRST ST., 1000 block, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17. A male bumped another male at a bus terminal and walked away, and the second male discovered he was missing his wallet from his rear pocket.

10TH ST. AND RHODE ISLAND AVE., 12:10 a.m. Feb. 20. Three males assaulted a male pedestrian on the head and took property from his pant pockets.

16TH ST., 700 block, 5:40 p.m. Feb. 17. A male demanded money from a female pedestrian and assaulted her when she said she did not have any.

17TH AND KRAMER STREETS., 8:30 p.m. Feb. 15. A gunman approached a male pedestrian in an alley and demanded money. The pedestrian refused and was shot in the chest.

17TH ST., 2800 block, 10:15 a.m. Feb. 14. A male snatched a purse containing cash, personal checks, eyeglasses and a cell phone from a female pedestrian.

17TH ST., 3500 block, 9 p.m. Feb. 15. A male attempted to snatch keys from a male driver as he got out of his vehicle. The driver screamed, and the male fled in a vehicle.

50TH ST., 100 block, 7 to 7:10 p.m. Feb. 15. A male in a vehicle and armed with a gun demanded a purse from a female in another vehicle. She complied, and the gunman fled in his vehicle with two passengers.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BENNING RD., 1700 block, 1:54 a.m. Feb. 11. A male forced his way into a residence and took a fuse from a fuse box.

BLADENSBURG RD., 1200 block, 10 p.m. Feb. 15 to 2:50 p.m. Feb. 18. A telephone and papers were stolen from an office building entered by breaking a side window.

EADS PL., 4900 block, 5:50 to 5:55 p.m. Feb. 14. A male teenager entered a residence through a second-floor rear window, then fled when he was confronted by a male resident.

JAY ST., 5200 block, 8 p.m. Feb. 13 to 11 p.m. Feb. 14. A cell phone was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a front window.

LANG PL., 1700 block, 10:15 to 11:37 p.m. Feb. 14. Property was stolen from a residence by a man who entered by breaking a rear glass door. When he kicked open a bedroom door, a female occupant pleaded for her life, and the intruder fled.

MOUNT OLIVET RD., 1000 block, 8:30 a.m. Feb. 14 to 8:30 a.m. Feb. 19. A TV, a VCR, a diamond ring, a necklace and a video game console were stolen from a residence entered through a kitchen window.

SHERIFF RD., 5000 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 15 to 4 a.m. Feb. 16. A DVD player was stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a rear door.

SOUTH DAKOTA AVE., 4000 block, 1 to 10:30 p.m. Feb. 13. A computer, a scanner and two printers were stolen from a residence entered through a basement window. A male was seen fleeing the residence in a vehicle.

FOURTH ST., 1300 block, 7:40 p.m. Feb. 13. A female knocked on a hotel room door and asked to used a telephone, then asked for cigarette. When the occupant went to get a cigarette, the female and two males forced their way inside armed with two guns. The victim escaped from the room.

17TH ST., 1200 block, 11:45 p.m. Feb. 14 to 1 a.m. Feb. 15. A man entered a residence through a rear door and punched a female resident in the face. A man, 21, was arrested.

35TH ST., 100 block, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 13. An unsuccessful attempt was made to enter a residence by prying a lock on a front door.

50TH ST., 100 block, 9 p.m. Feb. 13 to 1:30 a.m. Feb. 14. House keys were stolen from a residence entered by cutting a rear kitchen window.

52ND ST., 800 block, 4:21 p.m. Feb. 15. A microwave oven was stolen from a residence entered through a second-floor window reached with a ladder.

53RD ST., 200 block, 1 to 5 a.m. Feb. 20. Groceries were stolen from a residence entered by prying open window security bars.

MICHIGAN AVE., 5 to 7:15 p.m. Feb. 18. A man raped a female in a house.

ROBBERIES

ALLISON ST., 1800 block, 11:30 p.m. Feb. 14 to 12:30 a.m. Feb. 15. A man armed with a knife assaulted a 22-year-old male pedestrian and robbed him of a cell phone and jewelry.

CENTER ST., 3500 block, 12:40 p.m. Feb. 15. A woman asked a male juvenile to enter a building, then took a purse from him.

CENTER ST., 3500 block, 4 a.m. Feb. 16. Five males beat a male pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet.

COLUMBIA RD., 1200 block, 12:05 a.m. Feb. 19. A man demanded cash from a 22-year-old male pedestrian. The pedestrian began to run, and the robber and two other males chased him. The pedestrian fell, got up and ran into a house. The three men fled.

DAVIS STREET AND OBSERVATORY CIRCLE, 10:50 to 10:55 p.m. Feb. 18. A male got out of a pickup truck, displayed a gun and grabbed a purse of a female pedestrian. A struggle ensued, and the man struck her on the head with the gun and fled empty-handed in the vehicle with another male.

FORT STEVENS DR., 1300 block, 7 a.m. Feb. 18. A man got out of a sport utility vehicle, displayed a gun and robbed a female pedestrian of a purse. The man fled in the vehicle with three other males.

FORT STEVENS DR., 1400 block, 8 p.m. Feb. 20. Two men approached a female pedestrian, and one grabbed her by the neck and choked her. The men robbed her of a purse and fled in a vehicle.

FORT STEVENS DR., 6100 block, 11:15 to 11:16 a.m. Feb. 15. A man grabbed a 19-year-old female pedestrian by the neck, choked her and robbed her of a cell phone and keys. The man fled in a vehicle with another man.

GEORGIA AVE., 3400 block, 3:20 p.m. Feb. 14. Two gunmen robbed a female pedestrian of jewelry and a bank card, then forced her to withdraw money from a bank and took the cash.

HARVARD ST., 1300 block, 12:01 to 12:05 a.m. Feb. 14. Two gunmen robbed a 24-year-old female pedestrian and a 25-year-old male pedestrian of two cell phones and two wallets.

HOBART ST., 1600 block, 12:01 a.m. Feb. 19. A man demanded cash from a 29-year-old male pedestrian. The pedestrian walked away,and the man grabbed him and threatened to shoot him. The pedestrian shouted and escaped.

IRVING ST., 1800 block, 6 p.m. Feb. 20. A woman who acted as if she were armed with a weapon robbed a female in an apartment building of a purse.

M ST., 100 block, 12:30 to 12:35 a.m. Feb. 20. Two men struck a male pedestrian in the head, and he fell. The men robbed him of property and fled.

M ST., 1600 block, 11 to 11:02 p.m. Feb. 18. Two men demanded cash from a male pedestrian. The pedestrian attempted to run, and one of the men forced him to the ground. The men and a third male robbed the pedestrian of a CD player, a coat, boots, pants and a bag.

M ST., 3200 block, 3 p.m. Feb. 20. A person robbed a female in a restaurant of a purse.

MADISON ST., 1600 block, 10:30 p.m. Feb. 15. A male and two other people beat a 36-year-old female pedestrian at a bus stop and robbed her of a checkbook.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 300 block, 8:20 p.m. Feb. 19. A man snatched a purse from a female in a parking lot.

MERIDIAN PL., 1500 block, 8:07 to 8:12 p.m. Feb. 19. Three men, one armed with a gun, robbed a 42-year-old male pedestrian of a wallet.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 3800 block, 8:55 p.m. Feb. 15. A gunman robbed a 22-year-old male pedestrian and a 21-year-old male pedestrian of wallets.

NEW YORK AVE., 1300 block, 6 p.m. Feb. 17. A man who acted as if he were armed with a weapon robbed two pedestrians of money.

NEWTON ST., 1600 block, 5:10 a.m. Feb. 20. A man got out of a vehicle, grabbed a female pedestrian at a bus stop by the neck and robbed her of a purse. He fled in the vehicle.

NICHOLSON ST., 1600 block, 6:40 a.m. Feb. 20. A person asked a female pedestrian for the time, snatched her purse and fled in a vehicle.

O ST., 600 block, 9:30 p.m. Feb. 19. Three males approached a male pedestrian from behind and one of the males struck him in the head. The men robbed him of a wallet and fled.

PARK RD., 1700 block, 6:30 a.m. Feb. 18. A male grabbed a female pedestrian from behind, and a second male robbed her of a purse.

SHERMAN AVE., 2400 block, 8:11 p.m. Feb. 16. A male teenager pushed a male pedestrian to the ground and kicked him. The teenager then robbed him of a wallet and a cell phone and fled with another male teenager.

T ST., 1300 block, 7:40 p.m. Feb. 19. Two males, one armed with a knife, robbed a male pedestrian of cash.

TUCKERMAN ST., 1400 block, 1:45 a.m. Feb. 15. Four male teenagers beat a 23-year-old male pedestrian and robbed him of property.

UPSHUR ST., 900 block, 9:25 p.m. Feb. 16. A male robbed a male pedestrian of a wallet.

WEBSTER ST., 1600 block, 7:18 p.m. Feb. 20. A man armed with a knife and a woman robbed a female pedestrian of a purse and a cell phone.

FOURTH AND Q STREETS, 5:50 p.m. Feb. 20. Two men, one armed with a gun, robbed a pedestrian of a wallet.

FIFTH ST., 1800 block, 1:10 a.m. Feb. 14. Two men got out of a vehicle, beat a male pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet and a cell phone.

12TH AND F STREETS, 9 a.m. Feb. 15. A man asked a male pedestrian for money, and the pedestrian complied. The man asked for more, said he had a gun and robbed the pedestrian of cash.

14TH ST., 1900 block, 7:20 p.m. Feb. 16. Two people entered a specialty store and demanded money from an employee. The employee and other occupants fled, and the two people fled empty-handed.

14TH ST., 2400 block, 4:30 p.m. Feb. 16. A man punched a pedestrian in the face, and the pedestrian fell. The man beat the pedestrian and took a camera and clothing.

16TH STREET AND FORT STEVENS DRIVE, 6:30 a.m. Feb. 18. A male got out of a vehicle, pushed a female pedestrian down and robbed her of a purse. The male fled in the vehicle with another male and a female.

16TH AND MOUNT PLEASANT STREETS, 6:50 a.m. Feb. 18. Three males got out of a vehicle, and one of the males sprayed pepper in a female pedestrian's face. He pushed her down, then robbed her of a purse with the two other males. The robbers fled in their vehicle.

16TH STREET, 4500 block, 2:26 p.m. Feb. 16. A man grabbed a purse from a 52-year-old female pedestrian and fled with another man.

16TH ST., 4700 block, 5:40 to 5:50 a.m. Feb. 12. A male grabbed a 39-year-old woman by the neck at a bus stop and he and two other males robbed her of a purse. The woman entered a a bus, and the men fled.

16TH ST., 4700 block, 3:50 p.m. Feb. 15. A male grabbed a 36-year-old female pedestrian, forced her down, and he and four other males robbed her of a purse.

16TH ST., 6100 block, 3:40 p.m. Feb. 15. A male teenager demanded property from a 48-year-old female pedestrian. A struggle ensued, and the teenager punched and pushed her and robbed her of a purse. He fled with two other people in a vehicle.

19TH AND SWANN STREETS, 9:05 to 9:10 p.m. Feb. 14. A person snatched a purse from a pedestrian.

BLAIR RD., 6000 block, 8 a.m. Feb. 4 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 15. A VCR was stolen from a storage unit entered by breaking a lock.

F ST., 900 block, 9:34 p.m. Feb. 16. Cash was stolen from a liquor store entered by forcing a rear door.

L ST., 2000 block, 5:35 to 5:36 a.m. Feb. 16. Eyeglass frames were stolen from a specialty store entered by breaking a front-door window.

MONROE ST., 1400 block, 3:36 p.m. Feb. 18. A man went to a house and told an occupant he had left a bank card at the home the previous night. The occupant allowed the man into the house, and a second person rushed in behind him and assaulted the occupant. The two intruders took a bike and fled.

NEW YORK AVE., 1400 block, 7 p.m. Feb. 17 to 7 a.m. Feb. 18. Property was stolen from a restaurant entered by forcing a front door.

NEWTON ST., 1400 block, 6:30 to 7:15 a.m. Feb. 19. Jewelry was stolen from an unlocked house.

17TH ST., 900 block, 11:30 p.m. Feb. 17 to 12:05 a.m. Feb. 18. A specialty store was entered by forcing a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

17TH ST., 2500 block, 6 a.m. Feb. 5. A man entered a house through an unlocked front window. A female entered the home, saw the man and fled. The man followed and assaulted her. Nothing was reported missing.

19TH ST., 500 block, 10 to 11 p.m. Feb. 13. A computer was stolen from a house.

Southeast

HOMICIDES

HOWARD RD., 1400 block, 11:18 p.m. Feb. 15. Kenneth D. Smith, 29, of the 2000 block of Shadowrock Lane, Mitchellville, was found in a residence with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Prince George's County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:58 p.m.

S ST., 1400 block, 2:06 a.m. Feb. 16. Robert Quarles, 19, of the 1400 block of S Street SE, was found on a street with a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to D.C. General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:35 a.m.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

SUITLAND PARKWAY AND STANTON ROAD, 1 a.m. Feb. 5. A man gave a 24-year-old woman a ride, then produced a handgun and sexually assaulted her.

ROBBERIES

ELY PL., 3300 block, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17. Two men entered a taxi, and when they arrived at their destination, one pressed a knife to the driver's face, and they took his keys and cash, then fled.

MALCOLM X AND OAKWOOD STREETS, 10:30 p.m. Feb. 14. Two men in an alley, one with a handgun, struck a 19-year-old male in the face and knocked him down , then took property from his pants and fled.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 3700 block, 9:40 p.m. Feb. 14. Two males, one with a gun in his waistband, demanded car keys from a 54-year-old woman in a parking lot, then fled in her vehicle.

SECOND ST., 2900 block, 11:25 p.m. Feb. 13. A man struck a 41-year-old female pedestrian in the head with a gun and took property, then fled in a vehicle.

FIFTH STREET AND MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 7:30 p.m. Jan. 20. Two males with a gun robbed two women at a bus stop of purses .

12TH PL., 2600 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 19. Three people approached a 27-year-old male pedestrian from the rear, and when he started to run, one stabbed him in the back. He escaped and was treated at a hospital.

21ST ST., 3400 block, 12:45 a.m. Feb. 14. A male approached a 34-year-old woman entering her residence and snatched a tote bag containing a bank card, credit cards, checks and a permit.

29TH ST., 2700 block, 11:57 to 11:59 p.m. Feb. 15. A man with a handgun robbed a women at the front door of her apartment of her purse, a bank card, credit cards, a driver's license and a checkbook.

ATLANTIC ST., 400 block, 9:05 p.m. Jan. 8. Two men entered a residence through a rear bedroom window. Nothing was reported missing.

C ST., 4800 block, 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 17. A man entered the residence of a female acquaintance and hid in a closet, then jumped out and scared her. He then broke two windows before leaving.

CENTRAL AVE., 5500 block, 12:30 p.m. Feb. 17 to 11 a.m. Feb. 18. Cigarettes were stolen from a restaurant entered by making a hole in the roof.

ELVANS RD., 2400 block, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 13. A watch, two bracelets, a necklace and a ring were stolen from an apartment.

HARTFORD ST., 2300 block, 2:30 to 3 a.m. Jan. 5. Cash, clothes, a Sony Playstation, a TV and a stereo were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear window.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 2400 block, 11:30 a.m. Feb. 18. Twenty-five pairs of barber clippers were stolen from a barbershop entered by breaking the rear door.

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 200 block, 4:59 a.m. Feb. 19. Property was stolen from a store entered by smashing a front window.

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 1500 block, 4:50 to 4:55 a.m. Feb. 19. Two males entered a building by smashing a window. Nothing was reported missing.

SAVANNAH TER., 2000 block, 1 to 10 p.m. Feb. 13. A Sony Playstation 2 was stolen from an apartment entered by breaking a rear window.

YUMA ST., 600 block, 4:15 p.m. Feb. 7. A man and a woman entered a residence and damaged property. Two arrests were made.
