THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DEFENSE HWY., 100 block, 9:30 p.m. Feb. 26 to 9 a.m. Feb. 27. A business was entered through a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

RIVA RD., 2600 block, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27 to 2:30 a.m. Feb. 28. Cash and a cash register were stolen from a business entered by breaking a glass front door.

SCOTTS CROSSING WAY, 5 p.m. Feb. 18 to 9 a.m. March 1. Telephones and a radio were stolen from a residence.

SLEEPY HOLLOW LANE, 1900 block, Feb. 21 to Feb. 27. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered through a door.

PROSTITUTION

RITCHIE HIGHWAY AND HANOVER STREET, March 5. A 32-year-old Baltimore woman was arrested and charged with prostitution.

DAVIDSONVILLE AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CENTRAL AVE. W., 1000 block, Feb. 22 to Feb. 24. Tools were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

EDGEWATER AREA

ASSAULTS

RIVERSIDE DR., 100 block, 2:48 a.m. March 2. After making threats over the telephone, a man armed with a knife entered a residence, then was pushed back onto the porch by another man who had been inside. During a struggle, the intruder punched a woman in the forehead, retreated to the driveway, then charged at the woman's son. The son struck him in the head with a shovel. The intruder fled in a white Ford Escort, was stopped by police on Route 2 and was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, where he was treated for a large cut above his right eye and a large cut on his right wrist. He was charged with six counts of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, first-degree and third-degree burglary and destruction of property.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BISHOP RD., 1500 block, 1 p.m. Feb. 22 to 9 a.m. Feb. 25. TVs, computer equipment and a radio were stolen from a residence.

RIVERDALE DR., 1600 block, 10:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Feb. 25. A radio was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

GLEN BURNIE AREA

ASSAULTS

OAK MANOR DR., 300 block, 1:57 a.m. March 2. During an argument between two men, one man stabbed the other several times. A man suffering cuts to his head, face, shoulder, back and hand was treated at University of Maryland Shock Trauma. A 42-year-old Baltimore man was arrested and charged with first-degree and second-degree assault.

ROBBERIES

CENTENNIAL DR., 6300 block, 9:03 p.m. Feb. 27. A pizza delivery woman was robbed at gunpoint of cash and other property by three males.

CRAIN HWY., 1900 block, 11:01 p.m. Feb. 28. As a 19-year-old man waited for a taxi, a brown Ford pulled up driven by a male. A passenger in the car armed with a knife robbed the 19-year-old of cash.

RITCHIE HWY., 6600 block, 11:20 p.m. March 4. A gunman jumped out of a car in the parking lot of a mall, robbed a man of his wallet and fled in the car with another male.

WENDE WAY AND ROXBURY ROAD, 10:37 p.m. Feb. 20. Three people confronted a 21-year-old male pedestrian and robbed him of cash and cigarettes. A short time later, police arrested three juveniles standing in the 7800 block of Tall Pines Court. They were charged on juvenile citations with assault and robbery.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

AMERICANA CIR., 7800 block, 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Feb. 28. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a window.

HOSPITAL DR., 300 block, 4:49 a.m. Feb. 26. Food was stolen from a business entered by cutting a front-door lock.

ORDNANCE RD. E., 500 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 25 to 6 a.m. Feb. 26. A business was entered by forcing a side door. Nothing was reported missing.

PARKE WEST DR., 7800 block, 12:15 a.m. Feb. 28 and 10 a.m. March 1. Audio recordings, video games and equipment were stolen from a residence entered through a door.

PARKE WEST DR., 7800 block, March 5. As a result of investigations into burglaries in the community, police arrested a 19-year-old Glen Burnie man and charged him with first-degree burglary and felony theft. A 17-year-old juvenile was also arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, felony theft and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

RITCHIE HWY. S., 7200 block, 9:45 a.m. Feb. 27. Cash and a cash register were stolen from a business entered by breaking a glass front door.

WILLIAM CHAMBERS JR. DR., 100 block, 3 to 11 a.m. Feb. 27. An all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

ARUNDEL MILLS BLVD., 7600 block, 6:04 p.m. Feb. 26. A gunman robbed a retail store of cash and fled with another male on foot.

PARKWAY DR., 7200 block, Feb. 26 to Feb. 27. A business was entered by forcing a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RD., 2900 block, Feb. 21 to Feb. 26. Equipment was stolen from a business entered through a front door.

WHISKEY BOTTTOM AND SPRING ROADS, March 5. A 41-year-old Laurel woman was arrested and charged with prostitution.

ROBBERIES

LAUREL FORT MEADE RD., 3400 block, 4:51 p.m. March 2. Two males, one armed with a gun, approached a couple in a 2001 red Ford Focus. The gunman put the male motorist in a headlock and demanded money. After the motorist complied, the gunman struck the man in the head. The second robber grabbed the vehicle keys, and both robbers fled. The female victim fled in an attempt to call for help.

CHARLOTTE DR., 100 block, 7:45 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Feb. 26. Cash, video games and equipment were stolen from a residence entered through a door.

ELKRIDGE LANDING RD., 800 block, 9:37 a.m. March 4. A male wearing a light blue stocking cap and black combat boots robbed a bank of cash. No weapon was displayed or implied.

CAMP MEADE RD. S., 500 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 23 to 7 a.m. Feb. 24. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a glass front door.

PASADENA AREA

ASSAULTS

203RD ST., 700 block, 1:37 a.m. March 1. During an argument in a home between a male resident and a second man, the resident brought a shotgun from a bedroom and allegedly shot the other man once in the leg. Police arrested a Pasadena man and charged him with reckless endangerment and first-degree assault. The other man was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma.

MOUNTAIN RD., 2300 block, 11:15 p.m. Feb. 27. A man at a fast-food restaurant was robbed at knifepoint of cash, a driver's license, keys and a cell phone by two males who fled in a green Geo.

FORT SMALLWOOD RD., 8800 block, Feb. 23 to Feb. 24. Cash was stolen from a business entered by forcing a front window.

LAKE SHORE DR., 500 block, 8:03 a.m. Feb. 27. A business was entered by forcing a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

NEPTUNE DR., 8500 block, 11:20 a.m. Feb. 27. Cash, jewelry and a safe were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked front door.

RITCHIE HWY. N., 8300 block, 12:31 a.m. Feb. 28. A business was entered by forcing a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

FRAUD

FORT SMALLWOOD RD., 8500 block, Feb. 25. The county police department's Drug Diversion Unit has been investigating several prescription fraud cases during the past month. After a woman called in a fraudulent prescription, surveillance was conducted at a pharmacy, and police arrested a 23-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, both of Annapolis, after they allegedly requested the prescription. Both were charged with attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud.

SEVERN AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

QUARTERFIELD RD., 7800 block, 3:30 p.m. Feb. 26 to 11:16 p.m. Feb. 27. Tools were stolen from a business entered by forcing a window.

VILLAGE SQUARE CT., 1700 block, 6 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25. A residence was entered by forcing a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

VILLAGE SQUARE CT., 1700 block, 7:25 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. Feb. 24. Jewelry, video games and equipment were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear door.

LAKE HERON DR., 1000 block, 3 a.m. March 2. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

MAIN ST., 100 block, 3:58 p.m. March 1. Electronic games were stolen from a business. An arrest was made.

MARKET SPACE, 1-100 block, March 1. Shrimp was stolen from a vehicle.

NAVY-MARINE CORPS STADIUM, 5 p.m. March 1 to noon March 2. A radar detector was stolen from a vehicle.

NEWTOWNE DR., 700 block, 9 p.m. March 3. Cash, a purse and a cell phone were stolen.

NORMAN DR., 1000 block, March 1. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

NEWTOWNE DR., 700 block, midnight Feb. 25 to 8:30 a.m. Feb. 26. A black 1999 Mitsubishi was stolen.
