League Director Joins Leadership Class
Scott A. Hancock, director of the Maryland Municipal League, has been selected to participate in the Leadership Maryland Class of 2003.
The Davidsonville resident will attend seminars, workshops and classes on economic development, education, health and human services and multiculturalism during the eight-month program. Leadership Maryland is dedicated to educating executives about issues, challenges and opportunities facing the state. Hancock was one of 50 executives selected for the program.
Housing Group Names Costanzo to Board
Severna Park resident Louis Costanzo is a newly appointed board member of the Partnership for Housing Foundation, an organization formed by the Maryland Association of Realtors to work with nonprofit organizations, state and local governments and other groups dedicated to promoting homeownership.
Costanzo is regional vice president of New Jersey-based Ivy Mortgage.
Pair Get Public Relations Accreditation
Diane Nowak-Waring and Judi Spann, members of the Annapolis/Anne Arundel Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, were accredited in public relations by the organization for their service, experience and skill in the field.
Nowak-Waring, of West River, is an account supervisor with Crosby Marketing Communications. She earned a bachelor's degree from the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y., and a master's from State University of New York-Albany.
Spann, of Annapolis, is the director of communications for the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation, a private nonprofit corporation dedicated to raising private gifts for the Naval Academy. Spann directs media relations, publications and strategic planning.
