COLUMBIA AREA

ROBBERIES

CRADLEROCK WAY, 7100 block, 9:57 a.m. March 6. Two males in a bank announced a robbery. One of the robbers remained at the door as a look-out and the other pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and ordered a manager to take him to the vault. The two males left the bank with cash in a green Toyota Camry and fled the area. The vehicle was later recovered unoccupied on Dockside Lane. It had been reported stolen.

FLOWERSTOCK ROW, 8800 block, 10:30 p.m. March 5. A male struck a person in the head and demanded money. The person refused to comply and fought back. No injuries were reported and nothing was reported taken.

HARPERS FARM RD., 5400 block, 8:53 p.m. March 11. Three males in a black Toyota Camry, one with a gun, followed a person from the Columbia Gym to Harpers Choice Village Center. When the three males apparently saw a group of people nearby, they left the area.

MAJORS LANE AND FOOTED RIDGE, 8:29 p.m. March 11. A man demanded cash from an acquaintance and implied he had a weapon. The acquaintance fled. Nothing was reported taken. An 18-year-old Columbia man was arrested.

OAKLAND MILLS RD., 7000 block, 9:56 p.m. March 7. A male in a pizza-delivery restaurant pulled out a revolver and demanded cash. An owner of the restaurant complied and the male left and ran toward Guilford Gardens.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BERGER RD., 9200 block, 9:46 p.m. March 7. Cash was stolen from a cash register inside a business entered by breaking a front glass door.

BROKENLAND PKWY., 9800 block, 7:18 to 7:22 p.m. March 7. A computer projector was stolen from a business.

BROKENLAND PKWY., 9800 block, 1:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 7. A safe was removed from a business.

BROKEN OAK LANE, 5000 block, 8 to10:18 p.m. March 8. An attempt was made to enter a home by removing a screen and prying open a rear window, but the suspect fled after a neighbor who observed the break-in screamed.

CAMPFIRE, 6100 block, 7:04 p.m. March 9. A residence was broken into.

FABLE ROW, 10600 block, 8:14 p.m. March 6. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

FAULKNER RIDGE CIR., 10600 block, 7:30 to 11 a.m. March 5. A safe was stolen from under a bed inside a residence.

GREEN MOUNTAIN CIR., 10700 block, 5 p.m. Feb. 24 to 9:21 p.m. March 8. A CD player and jewelry were stolen from a home entered by breaking a kitchen window.

LITTLE PATUXENT PKWY., 12200 block, noon to 9:30 p.m. March 9. A dog was stolen from a residence.

MYSTIC CT., 5400 block, 7:20 to 9:15 p.m. A rear sliding door of a residence was opened and the door's frame was broken but nothing was reported taken.

TWIN RIVERS RD., 10400 block, 4:44 a.m. March 8. DVDs were stolen from a store entered by smashing a front window with a large rock.

TWIN RIVERS RD., 10400 block, 11:53 p.m. March 11. Police responded to an alarm and found a large concrete block had been thrown through a glass door of a community building. Nothing was reported taken.

WILLIAM TELL LANE, 10500 block, 2:30 to 8 p.m. March 11. A laptop was stolen from a residence.

BROKEN STAFF, 7400 block, 8 p.m. March 9 to 8:33 a.m. March 10. A silver 1998 Honda Civic was stolen.

CARRS MILL RD., 15500 block, 7:30 p.m. March 11. A green 1998 Jeep Wrangler was stolen.

MOSSY BRINK CT., 7300 block, 7:11 a.m. March 5. A 1992 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was stolen.

ROBERT FULTON DR., 8700 block, 7:39 p.m. March 11. A 1998 Nissan box truck was stolen.

SANTA BARBARA CT., 6700 block, 10:30 p.m. March 4 to 4 a.m. March 5. Cash was stolen from a business.

HUNT CLUB RD., 6100 block, noon to midnight March 6. A TV, a stereo, a cordless phone and a watch were stolen from a residence. There were no signs of forced entry.

OLD WATERLOO RD., 6500 block, 2:20 to 3:15 a.m. March 9. Bottles of alcohol were stolen from a store entered by smashing a glass window.

DUCKETTS LANE, 6800 block, 8:12 a.m. March 5. A red 1999 Honda Civic was stolen.

HUNT CLUB RD., 6000 block, 11:22 a.m. March 5. A silver 1998 Honda Civic was stolen.

SETTER DR., 5900 block, 10:32 p.m. March 6. A 1999 Pontiac Firebird was stolen.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 6700 block, 5:48 p.m. March 10. An attempt was made to steal a black 1998 Ford Mustang.

BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 8800 block, 6:20 a.m. March 11. Glass was removed from a door to a business. Nothing was reported taken.

BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 9200 block, March 10 or March 11. Coins were stolen from a business entered by prying open a front window.

TOWN AND COUNTRY BLVD., 8700 block, 10 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. March 11. A video camera and jewelry were stolen from a residence that was ransacked.

WEST SPRINGS DR., 3100 block, 2:57 to 3:02 a.m. A female forced her way into the apartment of a male relative and assaulted the relative. A woman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault.

ROUTE 97, 2400 block, 3:18 a.m. March 11. Cigarettes were stolen from a convenience store and a stolen rental vehicle was recovered at the scene.

SHEFFELD CT., 8100 block, 8:39 p.m. March 5. A male pulled out a gun demanded the purse of a female getting out of her car in front of her home. The male struck the woman, grabbed her purse and car keys and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

PRESTON CT., 8200 block, 4:33 a.m. March 11. Cash was stolen from a business entered by removing molding and glass at a front door.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 7300 block, 7 a.m. March 11. Cash was stolen and a business was ransacked entered by removing molding and glass from a window.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 7300 block, 11:08 a.m. March 11. A business was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ASSATEAGUE DR., 7400 block, 9:35 a.m. March 5. A tractor-trailer was stolen.

PATUXENT RANGE RD., 8300 block, 6:30 p.m. March 8 to 9 a.m. March 10. A yellow trailer was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

GORMAN RD., 9300 block, 8:53 p.m. March 11. Two males carrying baseball bats were seen entering a vacant mobile home. Loud noises were then heard coming from the home.

OLD SCAGGSVILLE RD., 9200 block, 11:11 a.m. March 5. The front door to a residence was kicked in. Nothing was reported taken.

OLD SCAGGSVILLE RD., 10900 block, 11:05 to 11:16 p.m. March 9. A front-door windowpane to a business was shattered. Nothing was reported taken.

WHISKY BOTTOM ROAD AND ROUTE 1, 10 a.m. March 8 to 3 a.m. March 10. A red 2002 Honda ATV was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BALTIMORE ST., 8900 block, midnight to 10:01 a.m. March 9. Computer and power tools were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked basement door.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 9300 block, 7 to 8:08 p.m. March 8. An attempt was made to enter a business by driving a vehicle into a bay door.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

PFEFFERKORN RD., 2900 block, 9:45 a.m. to noon March 6. A ring was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked side garage door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

MCKENDREE RD., 2200 block, 8:24 a.m. March 11. A red Chevrolet Trail Blazer was stolen.

DAISY RD., 2800 block, 3 p.m. March 6 to 7:15 a.m. March 7. Generators and appliances were taken from a house that was under construction and entered through a rear unlocked basement door.
