ANNIVERSARY: Alexandria Little League will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Little Simpson Field at its Opening Day on April 5. In addition, ALL is looking for old uniforms, hats and other memorabilia to be displayed at Opening Day that commemorate play at Little Simpson over the past five decades. EQUIPMENT DRIVE: McLean Youth Soccer is holding a donation drive for lightly used soccer equipment and cleats. Drop-off sites will be located at several Whole Foods markets and Starbucks, and at Springhill Elementary School during the weekends of March 29 and April 5. The equipment will be donated to D.C. Scores, a Washington-based charitable organization that offers after-school programs featuring soccer and creative writing to elementary school children. Posters for the drive are at area Starbucks and Whole Foods stores.
