Cougars team captain had runner-up finishes in the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle at the SMAC meet. He holds school records in both events.
Sam Fleming, La Plata, Sophomore
A repeat All-Extra selection, Fleming holds six of eight individual school boys' records. He won the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle at the SMAC meet.
Camden Fuller, McDonough, Freshman
Fuller, who also plays golf for McDonough, won the 100 backstroke at the SMAC meet. He also placed third in the 200 individual medley.
Nate Haigler, Patuxent, Junior
A three-year letter winner, Haigler helped Patuxent to a runner-up finish at the SMAC meet. He placed second in the 100 butterfly and third in the 200 freestyle.
Josh Turner, Westlake, Junior
Turner broke the SMAC record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.93 seconds. He also was runner-up in the 200 freestyle and had a pair of runner-up finishes at the Maryland State Invitational.
Chase Ward, Northern, Junior
Also a football player, Ward got better as the season went on. At the SMAC meet he posted runner-up finishes in the 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke.

Matt Cribbs, Northern, Senior
Cribbs, a four-time All-Extra selection, was unbeaten for the second straight season. He won the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke at the SMAC and Maryland State Invitational meets. An 11-time champ at both meets, he holds seven school records.
Jon Michela, McDonough, Senior
One of the most versatile swimmers in the area, Michela cruised to victories in the 100-yard butterfly and 200 freestyle at the SMAC meet after winning the 500 freestyle and 200 individual medley at the Maryland State Invitational.
