ROBBERIES

WISCONSIN AVE., 5500 block, 2:36 p.m. April 1. A woman in a designer clothing retail store pulled out a handgun and motioned for another woman to come in and take handbags from a store display. A third woman did not enter the store but waited at the door. The women fled to a dark-colored SUV on South Park Avenue in which a fourth female had been waiting.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRADLEY BLVD., 5000 block, March 14 to April 1. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence.

LELAND ST., 4800 block, noon March 29 to 6 p.m. March 30. An attempt was made to pry a door lock. Nothing was reported stolen.

WILLARD AVE., 4700 block, 12:35 p.m. March 27. Cash, a wallet and ID cards were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked front door.

WISCONSIN AVE., 70 block, 7:20 a.m. March 28. Cash was stolen from a restaurant entered through an unlocked door.

GERMANTOWN DISTRICT

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALDENHAM CT., 19100 block, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. March 27. A video-game system, a guitar and a CD player were stolen from a residence.

BAYBERRY DR., 13200 block, 1 p.m. April 1. A video-game system was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked front door.

BRIARCLIFF TER., 13100 block, March 3. Three weapons were stolen from a residence. A 22-year-old Germantown woman was arrested March 11 and charged with first-degree burglary and theft over $500; a 19-year-old Germantown man was arrested March 20 and a 24-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested April 1; both were charged with first-degree burglary, theft over $500, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of a handgun in a vehicle. The stolen firearms were not recovered.

BRUNDIDGE TER., 11400 block, 12:45 to 1:15 p.m. April 1. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a window.

CENTURY BLVD., 19860 block, 6 p.m. March 30 to 8:45 a.m. March 31. A clubhouse at an apartment complex was entered by prying a back door. Nothing was reported stolen.

CLOPPER RD., 13100 block, 9 a.m. March 30 to 10 p.m. March 31. A flower and garden business was entered by breaking a rear window. Nothing was reported stolen.

DARNESTOWN RD., 18750 block, 6 p.m. April 3 to 6:30 a.m. April 4. A can was stolen from a landscaping business entered by breaking a window.

HICKORY FOREST WAY, 21200 block, 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. April 6. A dog was stolen from a residence entered through a window.

HOPKINS RD., 13850 block, 8 a.m. March 24 to 4:35 p.m. April 3. Property was stolen from a farm community association building entered by prying a door.

CORAL GROVE PL., 12500 block, 5:45 p.m. April 5. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

LOCKBURY CT., 1 to 100 block, 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 1. Two video-game systems and video games were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

MULLINIX MILL RD., 26100 block, 9 p.m. March 26 to 6 a.m. March 27. A 2001 Chevrolet Suburban was stolen from a driveway at a residence.

RIDGE RD., 27500 block, 12:45 to 2:30 p.m. March 28. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a back door window.

WHITECHURCH CT., 13400 block, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 1. An attempt was made to enter a residence by prying a front door.

GAITHERSBURG DISTRICT

ROBBERIES

FREDERICK AVE. N., 400 block, 10:35 p.m. April 2. A gunman in a gas station ordered an employee to open a register. After receiving cash, the man fled.

PHEASANT RUN DR., 800 block, 10 p.m. April 7. Several men accosted a pedestrian, 27, of Gaithersburg, and one of them struck him, forcing him to the ground. The men then went through the pedestrian's pockets, robbed him of property and fled.

RUSSELL AVE., 700 block, 7:40 p.m. March 31. A youth in a shopping mall grabbed a purse from the shoulder of a 36-year-old Rockville woman, struggling with the woman, then ran through a department store to a mall exit and onto Lost Knife Road.

SUMMIT AVE. S., 20 block, 3 p.m. April 4. A 47-year-old Gaithersburg woman was leaving a post office when a woman, who appeared to be in her 30s, pushed her into a vehicle driven by a man. The man then drove to a bank, went inside with the woman and waited for her to withdraw cash. The couple then drove the woman back to the same general area from which she was abducted, and released her. No injuries were reported.

WATKINS MILL ROAD AND MILLSTREAM DRIVE, March 29. A 24-year-old man was assaulted and robbed . At 11:15 p.m. the same day, an 18-year-old D.C. man was arrested and charged with robbery, theft under $500 and second-degree assault in connection with the incident.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

AIR PARK RD., 7800 block, March 30. Two motorcycles and a 1997 GMC van were stolen from a Harley-Davidson dealership entered by prying a front door.

BRASSIE PL., 19400 block, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 2. An attempt was made to enter a residence by prying open a door lock.

CENTERWAY RD., 8800 block, March 31. A frame of a sliding door at a pool house was pried. Nothing was reported stolen.

CHESTNUT ST., 1 to 100 block, 2:20 to 4:20 a.m. March 29. A bank was entered by using a blow torch on a side door. Nothing was reported stolen.

CLOPPER RD., 700 block, 6:30 p.m. April 4 to noon April 6. An attempt was made to enter a residence by prying a lock.

COLINDALE WAY, 8200 block, 9 a.m. Jan. 9 to 7:50 a.m. March 31. A back door at a residence was pried. Nothing was reported stolen.

DRISCOLL WAY, 100 block, 11 a.m. March 23 to 3 p.m. April 4. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

INDUSTRIAL DR., 16000 block, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 28. Numerous computers and computer equipment were stolen from a business entered by breaking through a rear door.

LINDEN HALL LANE, 100 block, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 25. A lock of a residential back door was pried. Nothing was reported stolen.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVE., 19500 block, March 30. Golf supplies were stolen from a golf clubhouse entered by prying a rear door.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVE., 19500 block, March 30. A lawn mower and a weed-cutter were stolen from a shed at a church, entered by prying a shed door with a crowbar.

PENNYWISE LANE, 9300 block, 12:15 to 9:15 a.m. April 6. A purse and its contents were stolen from a residence.

SNOWFORD CT., 9000 block, 6:20 to 9 p.m. March 28. A computer was stolen from a residence.

TRAVIS VIEW CT., 12100 block, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 4. Cash and inline skates were stolen from a residence.

WATKINS MILL RD., 19000 block, 8 p.m. March 30 to 10 a.m. March 31. A TV-VCR was stolen from an elementary school entered by prying a window screen.

DRUM HILL CT., 14600 block, 9:40 p.m. April 6 to 6:15 a.m. April 7. A purse and its contents were stolen from a residence.

WILKENS AVE., 12290 block, 9 p.m. April 2 to 2:40 a.m. April 3. A business was entered. Nothing was reported stolen.

ROBBERIES

FLOWER AVENUE AND PINEY BRANCH ROAD, 3 p.m. April 6. Three males, one armed with a knife, took cash from male pedestrian, 39, of Silver Spring.

GEORGIA AVE., 7990 block, 8 a.m. March 24. A man armed with a knife robbed a car-wash attendant of cash from a register, then walked away.

LITTLETON ST., 12500 block, 9:50 p.m. March 30. Two men took cash at gunpoint from a 29-year-old pizza delivery employee returning to his vehicle.

SOUTHAMPTON DRIVE AND BEACON ROAD, 4:50 a.m. April 6. A man and a teenage boy with a knife took car keys from a 21-year-old Silver Spring man as he got out of his vehicle and fled in his white, four-door, 1991 Honda Accord.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 800 block, 1:15 a.m. March 31. A male demanded cash from a 39-year-old pedestrian, struck the man with an unidentified object, cutting him, and took cash.

11TH AVE., 8400 block, 11:10 p.m. March 28. Two people, one armed with a handgun, robbed a 36-year-old man of cash, then fled in a gray SUV.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BURKHART ST., 13300 block, 4:15 to 6:05 p.m. March 28. Handguns, coins and a safe were stolen from a residence. Unknown means of entry.

COLUMBIA PIKE, 16140 block, midnight March 31. A front window at a construction business was broken. Nothing was reported stolen.

DECEMBER DR., 1500 block, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 4. Cash, compact discs and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered through a window.

DILSTON RD., 9700 block, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. March 27. A residence was entered by breaking a rear window. Nothing was reported stolen.

DOMER AVE., 300 block, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 3. A telephone was stolen from a residence entered by prying a door.

FRANKLIN AVE. E., 200 block, noon Feb. 15 to 10 a.m. March 26. A reel lawn mower was stolen from an unlocked shed at a residence.

FEBRUARY CIR., 11500 block, 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. April 4. CDs and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

FLOWERING TREE TER., 1900 block, 10 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. March 21. Cash, jewelry, a VCR and a DVD player were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

GATESHEAD MANOR WAY, 3400 block, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 31. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

GEORGIA AVE., 9300 block, 10 p.m. March 25 to 5:40 a.m. March 26. A safe was stolen from a delicatessen, entered by breaking a front window.

GRACE CHURCH RD., 2000 block, 11:25 to 11:45 a.m. April 3. Cash, computer equipment, jewelry and stereo equipment were stolen from a residence entered through a window.

GRAYSON AVE., 10000 block, 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. March 29. Kitchen items, a plant and a cell phone were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a back-door lock.

HANKIN ST., 500 block, 2 to 3 p.m. March 27. A bicycle was stolen from a garage at a residence, entered by prying a garage door.

HEATHER HOLLOW CIR., 1500 block, 4 p.m. March 26 to 5 p.m. March 27. Jewelry and cameras were stolen from a residence.

LOCKWOOD DR., 11600 block, 1 to 11:50 p.m. April 5. Stereo equipment was stolen from a residence entered by prying a door.

SPRINGVALE RD., 8500 block, 7 p.m. March 27. Cash was stolen from a residence.

WHEATON/GLENMONT DISTRICT

ROBBERIES

JUDSON ROAD, 7:26 p.m. March 19. A male was beaten and robbed by a group of people and later reported to police the tag number of a vehicle in which his attackers fled. Seven people were arrested and charged in the incident, including a series of robberies near bus stops, from Feb. 22 through March 19, in which males were beaten and robbed at gunpoint. Two 18-year-old men and two 16-year-old boys were arrested and charged with four counts of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. The 16-year-olds were charged as adults, with added charges, as juveniles, of strong-armed robbery. Two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old, also from Silver Spring, were arrested and charged as juveniles with two counts of strong-armed robbery.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARCOLA AVE., 1100 block, 1:15 p.m. March 31. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

ASHMONT CT., 1 to 100 block, 8 a.m. to noon March 26. A DVD player and movies, computer equipment and a TV were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear window.

BERNARD DR., 12000 block, 1 to 2:30 p.m. April 2. A car key was stolen from a residence.

BREEWOOD CT., 10900 block, 9:30 p.m. April 4 to 12:30 a.m. April 5. Computer equipment was stolen from a residence.

CHEROKEE LANE, 17400 block, 2 p.m. March 22 to 6 p.m. March 25. A tiller and a lawn mower were stolen from a shed at a residence, entered by cutting a shed door lock.

COACHLAMP LANE, 13500 block, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 31. A video camera, a VCR, a computer and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear window.

ELM GROVE CIR., 1400 block, 3 p.m. Feb. 1 to 3 p.m. March 29. A shed at a residence was entered. Nothing was reported stolen.

ENNALS AVE., 2500 block, March 31. Police found that had been reported stolen March 1 from Swansea Street in Bethesda. Two men entered the stolen Honda Accord as police officers watched the vehicle. A 27-year-old Silver Spring man was arrested and charged with auto theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft over $500 and violation of probation. A 24-year-old D.C. man was arrested and charged with possession, and possession with intent to distribute suspected cocaine.

HENDERSON AVE., 2100 block, 7:10 to 7:15 p.m. March 30. An attempt was made to enter a residence through a rear door. Nothing was reported stolen.

HILLCROFT DR., 16400 block, March 29. A residence was entered through an unlocked garage door. Nothing was reported stolen.

KELSEY ST., 3800 block, 9:45 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. April 3. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

LA CLEDE ST., 12800 block, 4 to 8:20 p.m. March 31. A dirt bike was stolen from a garage at a residence.

LA POINTE DR., 1900 block, 3:30 March 17 to 4 p.m. March 31. CDs and cases were stolen from a residence entered by prying a garage door.

MATEY RD., 12800 block, April 1 or April 2. An attempt was made to enter a residence. Nothing was reported stolen.

MCCALL ST., 5000 block, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. March 31. A residence was entered by forcing a front door. Nothing was reported stolen.

MELVIN GROVE CT., 10800 block, 6 p.m. April 1 to 7:50 a.m. April 3. An attempt was made to enter a residence by breaking a window.

PEARTREE CT., 3500 block, 6 p.m. April 6 to 1:30 a.m. April 7. Stereo equipment was stolen from a residence entered by twisting a doorknob.

RANDOLPH RD., 1 to 100 block, 11:34 p.m. April 1. A computer was stolen from a business.

SPARTAN RD., 3200 block, March 24 or March 25. Cash was stolen from a business

TURKEY BRANCH PKWY., 12700 block, 6:50 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 3. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

VEIRS MILL RD., 11160 block, 7:25 p.m. April 3. Two youths got out of a car in a parking lot and threw an object at the right rear window of another car and ran back to their car. Officers then stopped their car, a 1987 Toyota Camry, and learned it had been reported stolen earlier in the day, on Rhode Island Avenue in Washington. Three 12-year-olds and one 13-year-old, all from D.C., ware arrested and charged with auto theft, theft over $500, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and attempted auto theft and attempted theft over $500.

ZION RD., 20500 block, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 27. A lawn mower and a weed-cutter were stolen from an unlocked garage at a residence.

Rockville

ASSAULTS

DEBECK DR., 1000 block, 6:20 a.m. April 3. A 24-year-old Rockville man was arrested and charged with second-degree assault in connection with an incident at the above location.

WATTS BRANCH PKWY., 100 block, 8:55 p.m. March 31. A 15-year-old Rockville boy was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree assault in connection with an incident at the above location.

ROBBERIES

GRUENTHER AVE., 1600 block, 10:55 a.m. April 2. A man demanded a cell phone from a man sitting in the carport area of a residence. The robber forced the man down when he didn't comply and took cash, the cell phone, an ID card and a money clip, then dropped all items but the cash and fled. The robber phoned the man three times within an hour, while police were at the scene. A man identified as the robber returned to the scene at 12:10 p.m. Police officers were still there and promptly arrested a Gaithersburg man, 22.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

COVE LANE, 14000 block, midnight to 10 a.m. April 4. A car stereo was stolen from a vehicle.

GREENPLACE TER., 1800 block, 12:01 a.m. Sept. 1, 2002 to 9:15 a.m. April 3. An attempt was made to enter the above location by using a crowbar to pry a doorframe. Nothing was reported stolen.

MANNAKEE ST., 1 to 100 block, 10 a.m. March 28 to 9 a.m. March 31. A TV was stolen from a classroom.

PARK RD., 300 block, 6:30 p.m. April 2. A tool system was stolen from the rear of a truck.

RIDGEWAY AVE., 5700 block, 8:15 p.m. March 31 to 12:35 a.m. April 1. A DVD player and a monitor were stolen from a vehicle.

RIDGEWAY AVE., 5900 block, 10 p.m. April 2 to 7 a.m. April 3. A CD receiver was stolen from a vehicle.

VEIRS MILL ROAD AND DODGE STREET, 3 a.m. April 4. A 15-year-old Montgomery Village boy was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and auto theft following a traffic stop.

YALE PL., 1700 block, 2:30 p.m. April 1 to 7:15 a.m. April 2. A desk was rummaged through. Entry was gained by throwing a brick through a window.

WEAPONS VIOLATIONS

FREDERICK AVE., 200 block, 5:02 a.m. April 5. A 30-year-old Rockville man was arrested and charged with possession of a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident at the above location.

ASSAULTS

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7300 block, 2:49 a.m. April 5. A man was arrested and charged with second-degree assault in connection with an alleged assault of a female relative.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7600 block, 3:15 p.m. April 5. A man refused to leave a shopping area that was posted against trespassing. When a police officer tried to arrest the reportedly intoxicated man, he allegedly struck and kicked the officer to avoid arrest. A man was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and trespassing.

ROBBERIES

SYCAMORE AVE., 7100 block, 12:25 a.m. April 5. A man returning home found two men ransacking the trunk of his vehicle. When the man confronted the intruders, they forced him to the ground and were joined by two more men who got out of a vehicle. One of the attackers then pulled out a handgun and two others brandished knives. They robbed the man of property and fled in a burgundy car. The man sustained a cut on a hand but reportedly declined medical treatment at the scene.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

MAPLE AVE., 7700 block, 6 p.m. April 3 to 4:45 p.m. April 4. A 1991 Dodge Caravan was stolen. A steering-wheel anti-theft device was available but was unused at the time of the theft.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7300 block, 12:30 p.m. April 10. A 1993 Plymouth minivan was stolen.

SLIGO MILL RD., 6400 block, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. April 10. A 1979 Ford Thunderbird was stolen. A steering-wheel anti-theft device was in use at the time of the theft but the vehicle had been left unlocked.

TULIP AVE., 400 block, 1:30 a.m. April 3 to 5 p.m. April 7. A 1989 Lincoln Town Car was stolen.

VANDALISM

HOUSTON CT., 8200 block, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 4. The hoods of a 1990 Pontiac Gran Prix and a 2002 Toyota Corolla were dented.
