The Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce will host an orientation meeting for business owners in the Baltimore-Washington area titled "What Can the Chamber Do for Me?" The session is scheduled from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. today at chamber offices, 312 Marshall Ave., Suite 104, Laurel. The free event is intended to give entrepreneurs the chance to network and learn about the benefits of Chamber of Commerce membership and new and inexpensive ways to market and promote their businesses. The Historic Annapolis Foundation recently received an Institutional Assessment Grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services. The foundation will use the $2,325 award to conduct a year-long review of its management and operations systems. The foundation hopes to, among other things, improve its collections procedures and interpretive programs. The Historic Annapolis Foundation was one of 144 organizations nationwide to receive a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
