"Goldilocks," the Musical
The Lost Caravan children's theater troupe will perform a musical version of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The show includes music written by Lewis McAllister and performances by Lost Caravan founder and director Katy McAllister. This father-daughter duo has produced musical versions of the "Golden Goose," "Brementown Musicians," "Three Little Pigs," "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Pinocchio," which the theater company performs across Maryland. Katy McAllister founded the troupe 10 years ago, and the company has been in residence at the Chesapeake Music Hall for seven years. Show includes hot dog or peanut butter and jelly sandwich lunch. Las Vegas singer and Annapolis native Parris Lane will perform at 3 p.m. Saturday to raise money for Chrysalis House, a residential treatment program for women in recovery and their children. Lane, a co-star of Maryland Public Television's children's show Bob the Vid Tech, will headline with John Starr, Nathan Heathman, Moment's Notice, Phil Hyman, Kevin Lankford and Bill Pinkney. Her goal is to create an Annapolis version of the Cotton Club revue to pay tribute to Pearl Bailey, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holiday and other singers who performed in the Annapolis area. Charity Golf Tournament
Play a few rounds for charity during Changing Focus's golf tournament at 11 a.m. Monday. The fifth annual tournament will include live and silent auctions, a dance and banquet. Participants can also take part in the tournament's hole-in-one competition and putting contests. All proceeds support Changing Focus, a nonprofit organization that gives support to adults who are widowed or going through separation or divorce.
