Spring Farm Festival

The Spring Farm Festival celebrates Montgomery County agriculture, past and present. Get a taste of farm life with such activities as planting crops, whitewashing a fence and working a sheepdog. Tunesmythe and the Cider Press Boys provide the musical entertainment. There also is an archaeological dig with professional archaeologists. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Taste of Wheaton

Sample foods from around the world ($1/taste), enjoy free children's rides and listen to music by the Biscaynes. The Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad provides demonstrations. Gaithersburg Antiques

More than 200 booths will be at this year's Gaithersburg Antique and Collectible Show, selling a variety of items including books, rugs, linens, jewelry, paintings and Americana. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday., 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. The Antique Appraisal Fair is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, with a $5 fee for each item appraised.
