ROBBERIES

E ST., 300 block, 6:05 p.m. April 27. A male asked a female pedestrian for cough drops. The pedestrian said she did not have any, and the robber snatched her purse, removed property while running and threw the purse to the ground.

E ST., 1200 block, 4:56 p.m. April 26. A male assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of a cell phone. The robber fled with two male accomplices.

FITCH PL., 5000 block, 12:15 to 12:20 a.m. April 27. A gunman forced a male driver from a vehicle, robbed him of cash and cigarettes and fled in the vehicle.

GALLOWAY ST., 800 block, 10:15 to 10:20 p.m. April 23. A woman with a gun robbed a male pedestrian of a wallet containing documents and fled with two male accomplices in a vehicle.

GIRARD ST., 1700 block, 2:15 a.m. April 23. A gunman opened a door of a vehicle and demanded cash from a male driver. A struggle ensued, a bullet was fired, and the driver was wounded in the arm. The assailant fled without taking property.

KENILWORTH AVE., 700 block, 1:55 to 1:58 a.m. April 23. A gunman opened a door of a vehicle and demanded property from a male driver. The driver knocked the gun from the robber's hand, and the robber fled with the gun.

LEE ST., 4900 block, 1:20 to 1:30 a.m. April 24. A gunman assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet containing an ATM card. The assailant fled with two male accomplices.

MEADE ST., 4500 block, 11:52 to 11:54 p.m. April 23. A gunman demanded property from a male driver getting out of a vehicle. The driver grabbed the gun, a struggle ensued, and four bullets were fired as the driver fled into a residence. No injuries were reported.

MINNESOTA AVE., 4100 block, 5:20 to 5:25 p.m. April 28. A gunman and a male accomplice demanded cash from a male pedestrian. The pedestrian slapped the gunman's hand and fled.

NEW YORK AVE., 500 block, 9:14 a.m. April 28. A man entered a cashier's booth at a gas station and demanded cash. An employee forced the robber from the booth and called police. A man, 31, was arrested.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1300 block, 2:53 to 2:55 p.m. April 26. A male with a knife robbed a liquor store of beer.

T ST., 2300 block, 3:18 a.m. April 25. A gunman robbed a male leaving a vehicle of a wallet containing cash.

T ST., 1-99 block, 11:30 p.m. April 28. Two males attempted to rob a male group home resident, then fled when he shouted.

V ST., 500 block, 9:50 p.m. April 27. A gunman robbed a male of cash.

10TH AND RANDOLPH STREETS, 6:10 p.m. April 25. A gunman and a male accomplice robbed a male pedestrian of a cell phone. The robbers fled with several people.

15TH ST., 300 block, 11:30 p.m. April 25. A male snatched a purse containing cash, documents and a checkbook from a female getting out of a vehicle.

16TH ST., 1000 block, 9 to 11:10 p.m. April 22. A gunman and another man robbed a driver and a passenger in a vehicle of cash and jewelry, then attempted to flee in the vehicle. The robbers were not able to start the vehicle and fled on foot with other people. Two men, ages 32 and 19, were arrested.

18TH ST. AND RHODE ISLAND AVE., 11:25 p.m. April 29. A gunman and a male accomplice robbed a male driver in a vehicle of a wallet containing cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BENNING RD., 1800 block, 7:30 p.m. April 25 to 4:20 p.m. April 28. Chairs, paint, brushes, a ladder and caulk were stolen from an office building entered by forcing a rear window.

BLADENSBURG RD., 1900 block, 11 p.m. April 22 to 8:15 a.m. April 23. Clothes, credit cards and a bag were stolen from a hotel room.

E ST., 1400 block, 6 p.m. April 24 to 4 p.m. April 25. An air conditioner was stolen from a residence entered through a rear door or window.

FRANKLIN ST., 1500 block, 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. April 28. TVs, stereos and cash were stolen from an apartment entered by forcing a front door.

G ST., 600 block, 6 p.m. April 24 to 9 a.m. April 25. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a first-floor bathroom window.

M ST., 600 block, 11 p.m. April 26 to 8 a.m. April 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a front window with a brick.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 900 block, 1:35 a.m. April 25. A male with a knife entered an apartment through an unlocked front door, stood over a sleeping female, then fled when she awoke and confronted him.

MICHIGAN AVE., 600 block, 11:41 p.m. April 26. Sandwiches and a bagel were stolen from a food area of a campus by a man who entered by lifting a security gate. A man, 19, was arrested.

MONTANA AVE., 1900 block, 11 p.m. April 28 to 3 a.m. April 29. Alcoholic beverages were stolen from a nightclub entered by breaking a front glass door.

NEWTON ST., 1200 block, 7 a.m. April 25. Cash was stolen from a residence by a male intruder who entered through an open window.

OKLAHOMA AVE., 300 block, 12:05 to 1:49 a.m. April 24. Doorknobs and other property were stolen from a residence by a male who entered by using a crowbar on a rear door.

OTIS ST., 1200 block, 5:55 a.m. April 25. Property was stolen from an office building by a male and a female who entered by smashing a rear glass door with a sledgehammer.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1900 block, 4:30 to 11:45 p.m. April 23. A computer was stolen from a religious institution entered by kicking an office door.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1900 block, 5 p.m. April 26 to 9 a.m. April 27. A printer was stolen from a religious institution entered through an attic door.

SOUTH DAKOTA AVE., 5500 block, 8:45 to 10 p.m. April 26. A male entered an apartment and took property from a female resident's purse.

TRINIDAD AVE., 1100 block, 7 a.m. April 26. Jackets were taken from a residence entered by forcing a rear window.

VARNUM PL., 4300 block, 2:58 a.m. April 24. Two female youths attempted to enter a building by breaking a rear window with a sign. Arrests were made.

THIRD ST., 400 block, 12:30 p.m. April 23 to 12:25 a.m. April 24. Coins, baseball memorabilia and a laptop computer were stolen from a residence entered by removing an air conditioner from a basement window.

THIRD ST., 700 block, 3 p.m. April 22 to 11:10 p.m. April 26. Property was stolen from a garage at a residence.

EIGHTH ST., 200 block, 5:20 p.m. April 29. A DVD player, a laptop computer and a stereo were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a front window.

25TH PL., 2200 block, 6:30 p.m. April 27 to 6:30 a.m. April 28. Plumbing supplies, a garbage disposal unit and a faucet were stolen from building entered through an unlocked door.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GEORGIA AVE., noon Oct. 1 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 16. A boy molested another boy in a school bus.

K ST., 5:45 to 6 p.m. April 24. A boy molested a person in a public housing project.

TEWKESBURY PL., 10 to 11 p.m. April 11. A male staff member of a group home allegedly molested a resident.

U ST., 100 block, 2:23 a.m. April 22 to 5:15 a.m. April 26. A male entered a female's room at a home and sexually assaulted her, saying he was sorry. The female told the male to stop, and he left. When he tried to reenter, another person stopped him.

ROBBERIES

COLUMBIA RD., 1400 block, 5:58 a.m. April 24. A male teenager pushed a 33-year-old pedestrian down, and two other male teenagers went through his pockets. They fled with a credit card.

COLUMBIA RD., 1500 block, 3 p.m. April 28. Two male teenagers took a plastic bag containing a passport and papers from a 44-year-old man at a bus stop.

COLUMBIA RD., 1800 block, 7:55 to 8:03 a.m. April 23. A male assaulted another male in a bus and took his keys and an overcoat.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 3400 block, 4:50 to 4:51 p.m. April 27. A male distracted a pedestrian while another took his wallet.

EUCLID ST., 1400 block, 1:45 to 1:46 a.m. April 24. A male was robbed as he entered a building. One man threatened him with a knife while another took his wallet, a license and a school ID.

GEORGIA AVE., 5000 block, 11:55 a.m. April 27. A woman entered a check cashing store and passed a teller a note saying "Give me all the money in the cash register and nothing is going to happen to you." The teller said he or she didn't understand. The woman took back her note and fled.

GEORGIA AVE., 7000 block, 2 a.m. April 26. A gunman and a man with a knife robbed a 32-year-old woman of a cell phone and a gold necklace at a bus stop.

IRVING ST., 1400 block, 6:45 p.m. April 17. Two men snatched a 37-year-old female pedestrian's purse.

K ST., 400 block, 1:45 to 2:50 p.m. April 24. A male choked a female in a convenience store and pushed her down. He fled with her wallet and cash.

K ST., 1400 block, 1:40 p.m. April 23. A restaurant customer put property on the floor. It was gone when she got up to leave.

KENNEDY ST., 800 block, 3:50 p.m. April 29. Four boys approached a 14-year-old male pedestrian, and one hit him in the eye. Another demanded cash and went through his pockets. A third youth hit him in the back. The victim fled with the help of a witness. Nothing was reported taken.

LANIER PL., 1700 block, 9:35 to 9:40 p.m. April 24. Three males approached eight people on a porch having a cookout. One male pointed a gun at three people. Another put a box cutter to someone's neck. The third took a cell phone and a wallet.

MONROE ST., 1800 block, 8 a.m. April 23. A man with a knife robbed a 38-year-old female pedestrian.

N ST., 100 block, 2:55 p.m. April 24. A male in a wheelchair bought marijuana and realized after smoking some that it contained PCP. The dealer and two other men then followed the male into an alley and pushed him out of his wheelchair. They took a silver and gold watch, a gold necklace, a gold ring, a wallet and an ID.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 3600 block, 10:17 p.m. April 26. A man grabbed a 27-year-old female pedestrian and tried to take her purse. A struggle ensued, and a witness scared the robber away.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 3700 block, 12:30 a.m. April 29. Two males tried to rob two male pedestrians, 19 and 23. The 19-year-old was cut with a knife. No property was reported taken.

NEWTON ST., 1500 block, noon April 23. A man with a knife robbed a pedestrian of the contents of her purse and fled on a mountain bike.

PARK RD., 600 block, 1:30 a.m. April 26. A man snatched a gold necklace from a 22-year-old man opening a door of an apartment.

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 2100 block, 12:05 to 12:10 p.m. April 26. Two men distracted a female in an elevator in a medical facility and took property from her purse.

R ST., 500 block, 5:30 to 5:33 a.m. April 24. A gunman and another male robbed a male pedestrian of a cassette-tape player, a bank card and two keys.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1300 block, 11:15 p.m. April 28. A man threatened to beat and kill two people during an argument with a female in a home. He then took her purse and refused to give it back. A man, 41, was arrested.

U ST., 1500 block, 10:10 p.m. April 27. A male motorist gave a man a ride and was robbed of a cell phone as the man left the car.

UPSHUR ST., 700 block, 2:35 to 2:55 a.m. April 23. Two males robbed a woman and a man at gunpoint and fled in a car.

W ST., 1300 block, 1:11 to 1:13 a.m. April 24. A man grabbed a female pedestrian's purse. Her companion tried to stop the robber but was punched.

FIRST ST., 1100 block, 9:40 p.m. April 26. Two men approached a male pedestrian from behind. One held a knife and took his sneakers.

FOURTH AND R STREETS, 1:20 a.m. April 26. A car occupied by three males hit another car at a stop sign. One male in the first vehicle wrestled the driver of the other vehicle to the ground, and another male robbed him at gunpoint.

FIFTH AND N STREETS, 1:10 a.m. April 26. A man robbed a pedestrian at gunpoint.

FIFTH ST., 1100 block, 6:50 to 6:54 p.m. April 26. A man snatched a female pedestrian's purse and fled through an alley. The female chased him, and he dropped the purse, which was recovered missing cash.

13TH ST., 1300 block, 5:33 p.m. April 25. A man asked a pedestrian for a cigarette. The pedestrian complied, and three other men surrounded him. The first man showed a gun and took the pedestrian's wallet.

15TH ST., 2400 block, 8:38 to 8:39 p.m. April 23. A male teenager assaulted a pedestrian, and another male teenager took his wallet.

16TH ST., 1600 block, 10:30 p.m. April 27. A man snatched a pedestrian's purse and punched her in the chest before fleeing in a car.

16TH ST., 6300 block, 12:05 a.m. April 26. A car occupied by three male teenagers hit a car driven by a 56-year-old man. When the second driver got out, one of the teenagers showed a gun and searched his pockets with help from another. The robbers found nothing and fled with the third teenager.

36TH ST., 3400 block, 10:40 to 10:41 p.m. April 24. A robber approached a male pedestrian from behind and tried to take a wallet from his hand. The male was pushed to the ground but kept the wallet.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALLISON ST., 1300 block, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 26. A passport, a cell phone, two CD players, credit cards, a fax machine, a leather jacket and a digital camera were taken from a home entered by smashing a piece of glass out of a basement door.

BELMONT ST., 1600 block, 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. April 27. A computer hard drive, a ring and a bag were taken from a home entered by forcing a front door.

BRYANT ST., 1-99 block, 1:20 a.m. April 24. A resident heard a noise at her front window and saw a female removing the window screen. The resident told the female and a male accomplice that she was going to call police.

CHEVY CHASE PKWY., 5700 block, 11:15 a.m. April 23. A home was ransacked after a front door was forced open.

DELAFIELD PL., 300 block, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. April 27. A person damaged the frame of a rear door of a home and looked inside the residence. Nothing was reported taken.

ELDER ST., 700 block, 12:05 to 3:50 p.m. April 27. Jewelry was taken from a home entered by kicking a front door.

FAIRMONT ST., 1300 block, 7:50 a.m. to 1:33 p.m. April 26. A computer, a copier, speakers, a DVD player, a video-game system and a DSL box were taken from a home entered through a front door.

FAIRMONT ST., 1400 block, 7 p.m. April 20 to 12:05 a.m. April 23. An apartment was entered through an open window. A bedroom door was forced open, and the apartment was ransacked.

HAMILTON ST., 900 block, 10:45 a.m. April 19 to 8:15 a.m. April 24. A kitchen sink was taken from a home entered by forcing a basement door.

IRVING ST., 700 block, 8:30 a.m. April 16 to 1:30 p.m. April 24. Frozen food, a college diploma, a microwave oven, a DVD player, men's suits, a humidifier and a TV were taken from a home entered by kicking a door.

JEFFERSON ST., 1300 block, 9 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. April 29. Two laptop computers were taken from a home entered through a front door.

KENNEDY ST., 1-99 block, 1 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 24. A plastic file cabinet was taken from an office in a car dealership.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 4300 block, 2:30 a.m. April 28. A man entered an unlocked apartment. A resident confronted him, and he said he was checking smoke and fire alarms, then left. Nothing was reported taken.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 4400 block, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 27. A computer was taken from a locked dormitory room.

MONROE ST., 1000 block, 10 to 10:12 a.m. April 27. A laptop computer was taken from a home entered by forcing a rear patio door.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 3600 block, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 21. A laptop computer was taken from a home entered through a basement window.

NEW YORK AVE., 400 block, 6:30 p.m. April 22 to 8 a.m. April 23. Eight tires with chrome rims were taken from an automotive shop.

OTIS PL., 600 block, 5:20 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 26. A jar of coins was taken from a home entered by smashing a window.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 400 block, 1:15 to 1:20 p.m. April 23. A man entered a home through a rear door as a resident entered through the front. The resident shouted, and the burglar fled without taking property.

SPRING RD., 1400 block, 4 a.m. April 28. A man entered a home through a bathroom window and took property from a purse in a dresser.

STEPHENSON PL., 3000 block, 8:30 to 8:50 p.m. April 29. A violin and a case, a light meter, a lens and two camera flashes were taken from a home entered by prying a front door.

U ST., 1-99 block, 7 p.m. April 26 to 8:30 a.m. April 27. A saw, three buckets of paint, a light, a drill saw, tiles, a heat blower, a wet/dry vacuum, a tile cutter and a drill were taken from a construction site entered by forcing a front door.

WHITTIER ST., 1-99 block, 7 a.m. April 23 to 12:15 a.m. April 24. A DVD-VCR unit was taken from a home entered by kicking a rear door.

THIRD ST., 5300 block, 2 p.m. April 23 to noon April 27. Paint brushes were taken from a home entered through a rear window.

FOURTH ST., 5900 block, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. April 28. Property was taken from a home entered by breaking a kitchen window.

SEVENTH ST., 400 block, noon April 24 to 7:30 a.m. April 26. Tiles were taken from an office building entered by prying a side door.

13TH ST., 3500 block, 9:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. April 28. Clothing was taken from an apartment.

13TH ST., 3500 block, 5 p.m. April 23. A door of a residence was forced open. Nothing was reported taken.

13TH ST., 3500 block, 4 a.m. April 26. Someone tried to pry a door lock of an apartment, then ducked down and ran to an elevator when a resident looked through a peep hole.

14TH ST., 1700 block, 5:35 p.m. April 28 to 9:05 a.m. April 29. Property was taken from an office entered by kicking a hallway door.

14TH ST., 2100 block, 1:58 a.m. April 17. Property was taken from a restaurant entered by smashing a front window with a brick.

17TH ST., 1000 block, 4 p.m. April 26 to 10:20 a.m. April 27. Property was taken from an office building.

18TH ST., 1700 block, 1:58 to 1:59 p.m. April 24. A man tried to pry and kick a front door of a home. A witness approached, and he fled into an alley.

25TH ST., 1000 block, April 23. A home was ransacked after a front door was forced. Several mirrors, a computer and a TV were knocked to the floor.

30TH ST., 6200 block, 9 to 9:50 p.m. April 23. A front-door handle and lock were pried in an attempt to enter a house.

39TH ST., 5600 block, 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. April 26. A digital camera, a DVD player, a video camera and two bracelets were taken from a home.

Southeast

HOMICIDES

47TH ST., 1-99 block, 5 p.m. April 22. Stephan Bowser, 47, of the 1700 block of 17th Street SE, was found on a street with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Prince George's County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:12 p.m.

TRENTON PL., 1800 block, 12:27 a.m. April 25. Timothy Hamilton, 15, of the 500 block of Atlantic Street SE, was found in a car with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Howard University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:22 a.m.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

SHANNON PL., 2400 block, 10:30 to 11:30 p.m. April 24. A gunman and a male accomplice ordered a female youth to go behind a wall and forced her to perform oral sex.

ROBBERIES

ALABAMA AVE., 2800 block, 8:45 to 9:10 p.m. April 27. A gunman and several male accomplices assaulted a pedestrian and took keys and a backpack containing documents and medication.

GOOD HOPE RD., 1300 block, 8:05 p.m. April 26. A gunman attempted to rob a male in a restaurant, then fled when the weapon was knocked from his hand.

HALF ST., 1100 block, 10:20 p.m. April 23. A man assaulted a female driver leaving her vehicle and robbed her of a purse containing credit cards, then fled in her vehicle with another man. Two men, 27 and 26, were arrested.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 2000 block, 3:30 p.m. April 27. A gunman demanded cash from a male in a restroom. The robber reached into the male's pockets, took cash and fled.

NEW JERSEY AVE., 900 block, 1:55 a.m. April 25. A gunman robbed a male driver of his vehicle and cash.

SOUTHERN AVE., 1200 block, 7:55 a.m. April 26. A gunman approached a female driver leaving her vehicle in a parking area and took her keys, then fled after an unsuccessful attempt to take her vehicle.

FOURTH ST., 4200 block, 12:45 p.m. April 26. A gunman got out of a vehicle and demanded a purse from a female entering her vehicle. The driver complied, and the robber fled in his vehicle.

EIGHTH ST., 200 block, 7:53 p.m. April 26. A male robbed a female pedestrian of cash and a cell phone.

18TH ST., 3400 block, 11:25 p.m. April 25. A gunman and a male accomplice robbed a male pedestrian of cash and other property.

25TH ST., 2300 block, 9:40 p.m. April 27. A male assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of a briefcase containing documents.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

AINGER PL., 2300 block, 3:15 p.m. April 24 to 3:25 p.m. April 26. Property was stolen from a school by a male youth who entered by forcing a rear door. The property was recovered.

CHESAPEAKE ST., 600 block, 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. April 26. Property was stolen from an apartment.

GREEN ST., 2300 block, 11 a.m. April 23 to 9:45 p.m. April 24. Chairs were stolen from an apartment entered through a bedroom window.

HALF ST., 1300 block, 5:15 p.m. April 23 to 3:05 p.m. April 25. Equipment was stolen from an office entered by breaking a window bar.

INDEPENDENCE AVE., 600 block, 4 p.m. April 22 to 12:30 a.m. April 24. Cash, foreign currency and a laptop computer were stolen from a residence entered by cutting a screen of a second-floor window.

L ST., 1400 block, 6:30 a.m. April 22 to 3:50 p.m. April 25. CDs, a stereo, a washing machine, a table and a TV were stolen from an apartment by a male who entered by forcing a front door.

M PL., 3100 block, 10 p.m. April 23 to 7:30 a.m. April 24. Cash was stolen from a purse in a residence entered through an unlocked side window.

NAYLOR RD., 3100 block, 9:30 a.m. April 28. Shoes, CDs and a video-game console were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a front door.

R ST., 1700 block, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 25. CDs were stolen from an apartment entered by damaging a front door.

VALLEY AVE., 700 block, noon April 20 to 9:15 a.m. April 24. Lawn equipment was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a front window.

SECOND ST., 3700 block, 5 to 9 p.m. April 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

EIGHTH ST., 700 block, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 to 10 a.m. Feb. 25. Property was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked balcony door.

22ND ST., 3300 block, 9:30 p.m. April 26. A computer, a fax machine and a telephone were stolen from an apartment by two intruders who entered by breaking a rear office window.

Southwest

ROBBERIES

DANBURY ST., 1-99 block, 2:45 a.m. April 26. Two women, 24 and 26, observed two vehicles parked side by side. Two male teenagers got out of one vehicle and robbed the 24-year-old at gunpoint, and a male got out of the other vehicle and robbed the 26-year-old. The robbers fled in the vehicles.

DELAWARE AVE., 1300 block, 7:35 p.m. April 23. A man who acted as if he had a weapon demanded a wallet from a male in a parking area. The male refused, and another male approached. The victim used a cell phone to call police. The other two fled in a vehicle.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 3900 block, 7:30 p.m. April 22. A male teenager pushed a 9-year-old girl off another boy's bicycle and took it.

P ST., 200 block, 10:30 p.m. April 28. A man sprayed a person in the face with a chemical in the doorway of an apartment building and robbed the person, then fled with another male.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

THIRD ST., 800 block, 9 a.m. April 24 to 4:45 p.m. April 27. Property was taken from a home entered by tearing a window screen.
