THEFTS/BREAK-INS

TROTTER RD. S., 6500 block, 6:15 p.m. May 1. Four youths attempted to enter a middle school by forcing a back door with a metal prying tool.

Columbia Area

ROBBERIES

TWIN RIVERS RD., 10400 block, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 28. A male knocked on a vehicle window and demanded cash from a person sitting inside the vehicle. The person complied.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DOBBIN RD., 6400 block, 1:54 a.m. May 3. A business was entered by smashing a back door glass. Nothing was reported stolen.

GUILFORD RD., 9100 block, 8:22 p.m. April 29. Laptop computers were stolen from a business entered through a back door.

GUILFORD RD., 9100 block, 8:40 p.m. April 30 to 9 a.m. May 3. Laptop computers were stolen from a business entered by breaking a rear window.

GUILFORD RD., 9100 block, 6:56 to 11:39 a.m. May 1. A business was entered by force, and an attempt was made to enter an office. A male was photographed getting out of a small red four-door vehicle at the business.

HALF DOLLAR CT., 9500 block, 12:30 to 3 p.m. April 30. A computer, a DVD, an instrument and a video game system were stolen from a residence entered through a back patio door.

HARPERS FARM RD., 5600 block, noon to 5 p.m. May 3. Cash, jewelry and a camera were stolen from a residence entered through a sliding glass patio door.

HICKORY RIDGE RD., 10400 block, 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. April 28. An apartment was entered. Nothing was reported stolen.

LITTLE PATUXENT PKWY., 10900 block, 9:30 p.m. April 28 to 7:40 a.m. April 29. Computer hard drives were stolen from three storage cabinets in a computer lab at a college entered by force.

TALISMAN LANE, 7200 block, 7:50 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. April 28. Video games were stolen from a residence.

TURNABOUT LANE, 5900 block, 9 p.m. April 28 to 10 a.m. April 29. A VCR and a JVC portable radio were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a sliding glass back door.

TURNABOUT LANE, 5900 block, 8:40 to 10 a.m. April 30. Cash, an electronic game, games and DVDs were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked front door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

COLUMBIA RD., 5300 block, April 28 or April 29. A white 1999 Honda Civic was stolen.

SEWELLS ORCHARD DR., 6700 block, 10 p.m. May 2 to 3 a.m. May 3. A gray 1991 Toyota Camry was stolen.

Elkridge Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HUNTSHIRE DR., 6500 block, 12:16 a.m. May 2. A closed convenience store was entered by throwing a cinder block through the door, smashing the door. A surveillance system recorded a male using a milk crate to carry packs of cigarettes from the store. The male fled in a dark-colored pickup truck.

BUSINESS PARKWAY AND ROUTE 1, 1:44 a.m. April 30. A red 1990 Acura Integra was stolen.

BUSINESS PKWY., 6600 block, 10 p.m. April 30 to 11:30 p.m. May 1. A white 2004 Mack truck was stolen.

Ellicott City Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 8100 block, 3:35 p.m. April 28. A residence was entered by breaking a basement window. The residence was ransacked. Nothing was reported stolen.

DIAMONDBACK DR., 9300 block, 6:57 a.m. May 1. A green 1997 Honda Civic was stolen.

MOUNT IDA DR., 3600 block, 6 to 9:30 p.m. May 1. A black 1993 Ford Crown Victoria was stolen.

GUILFORD RD., 10100 block, 6:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. April 28. A residence was entered by kicking a back door. Nothing was reported stolen.

MISSION RD., 8600 block, 7:15 to 11 a.m. May 3. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

BARREL HOUSE ROAD, noon to 7 p.m. April 28. Property in a residence was relocated in the residence entered by forcing a rear bedroom window screen.

DERBY DR., 10300 block, 8:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 28. A residence was entered by smashing a basement rear window. Nothing was reported stolen.

SCAGGSVILLE RD., 10600 block, 6 to 10 a.m. May 1. A leaf-blower was stolen from a residential garage.
