Driving Hot Spots

Here is a selection of road advisories. Weather and equipment availability can affect timing.

1. Springfield Interchange:

Two or more lanes might be closed 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays.

2. Chain Bridge:

Right lane closed overnight from Virginia to the District.

3. North Capitol Street:

One lane closed in each direction between Michigan Avenue and Buchanan Street.

4. 16th Street NW:

For the next year, one lane open in each direction on the underpass at Scott Circle.

5. Interstate 395/Center Leg Freeway:

Two lanes closed in each direction 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

6. Capital Beltway (inner loop):

Two right lanes closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow through Saturday between River Road and Wisconsin Avenue.

7. Capital Beltway (inner loop):

Two left lanes closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. today through Saturday from Georgia Avenue to Connecticut Avenue.

8. Capital Beltway (both loops):

Some lanes closed 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between the Interstate 270 spur and Fernwood Road.

9. Route 202:

Two left lanes closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday between Route 450 and Route 50.

10. George Washington Memorial Parkway:

Alternating lane closures in both directions 8 p.m. today through 5 a.m. Monday and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday through Monday between Belle Haven and the Hunting Creek Bridge.

11. Annapolis Road:

Two left lanes closed 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. today through Saturday between 65th Avenue and Riverdale Road.

12. Main Street (Upper Marlboro):

Road closed between Water Street and Governor Oden Bowie Drive through 5 a.m. tomorrow.

Transit Update

Tip of the Week

Metrobus Route C27 will run from Addison Road-Seat Pleasant station to Six Flags Amusement Park each Saturday from May 29 through Sept. 4. Buses will leave the station at 10:24 and 11:21 a.m. and 12:24 p.m. For more information, visit www.wmata.com.
