SWAN DR., 1300 block, 10 to 11:30 a.m. April 10. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear door.

RITCHIE HWY., 5600 block, 5:22 a.m. May 13. A man snatched a wallet from woman's hands as she was paying for items at a fast-food restaurant. The man fled, and a police search was unsuccessful.

BELLE GROVE RD., 4000 block, 3 to 11 p.m. May 5. Video games and audio recordings were stolen from a residence entered through a front door.

FRANKLIN AVE., 100 block, 7:30 p.m. May 8 to 8:30 a.m. May 9. A bicycle, a motorcycle and tools were stolen from a residence entered by cutting a front-door lock.

QUARTERFIELD RD., 7700 block, 7:07 p.m. May 7. A male was assaulted and robbed of cash after giving a ride to a male he had picked up at Hospital Drive and Crain Highway. He was about to lend the male cash when the male assaulted him, took his wallet, removed cash and threw the wallet back into the car. The robber fled on foot.

CLARK RD., 7900 block, May 3. A baby boy was brought to Johns Hopkins Hospital in critical condition suffering from a brain injury, and police were called. The next day police arrested a male relative who had been taking care of the child. Jeremiah S. Saunders, age 5 months, died May 5. An autopsy by the State Medical Examiners Office ruled that the death was a homicide as a result of a traumatic brain injury. The relative, a 24-year-old Jessup man, was charged with second-degree murder and child abuse.

Laurel Area

OLD LINE AVE., 3300 block, May 8. A purse, IDs and other items were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked side door.

Linthicum Area

ROBBERIES

NURSERY ROAD LIGHT RAIL STOP, 5:45 p.m. May 10. A male and an acquaintance refused to buy marijuana offered by two male juveniles outside a light rail stop. The male and the acquaintance were then ordered to empty their pockets at knifepoint. One victim gave cash to a juvenile while the other victim ran into the street and flagged down motorists. Both robbers fled toward the Pumphrey community. A short time later, police arrested a 15-year-old boy.

ANNAPOLIS RD., 1600 block, 1 a.m. May 8. A man snatched a purse from a 50-year-old woman as she was retrieving an item from the trunk of her car outside a restaurant.

CONWAY RD., 2600 block, 4:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 3. Cash, jewelry and a radio were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear window.

CORKBERRY LANE, 8000 block, 2:45 p.m. May 6 to 2:30 a.m. May 7. Computer equipment, video games and equipment, cash, sporting equipment and a bicycle were stolen from a residence entered through a front door.

MAGOTHY BRIDGE RD., 200 block, 8:40 p.m. May 7. A residence was entered by breaking a rear glass door. Nothing was reported missing.

MAYWOOD RD., 1500 block, April 28 to April 29. Sporting equipment was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked front door.

Shady Side Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CEDARHURST RD., 1500 block, 4 a.m. May 8. Two males kicked in the front door of a residence, assaulted a couple and fled on foot. The male victim suffered injuries to his head, chest and knees and was taken to a hospital. The female received a large bump on the head.

OBERY CT., 100 block, 1:52 a.m. May 11. Annapolis resident Traykia Jones, 16, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in an upstairs bedroom of a relative's residence.

COPELAND ST., 1900 block, 2:30 p.m. May 8. An aggravated assault occurred.

NEWTOWNE DR., 700 block, 10 p.m. May 8. A 32-year-old man was stabbed as he was trying to break up a fight. He reportedly suffered minor puncture wounds to the back.

TAYLOR AVE., 1-100 block, 1:41 p.m. May 8. An aggravated assault occurred.

CHESTER AVENUE AND FOURTH STREET, 1:49 a.m. May 7. Cash and wallets were taken during a robbery at gunpoint.
