Team Qualifiers: Courtney Law, Courtney Rice, Michaela Rogers, Scott Simpson.

Double Dutch Qualifiers: 3. Katherine Diamond, Tyffani McCleary, Jimmy McCleary, Robby Moylan.

In addition, Kangaroo Kids Coach James E. McCleary was named head coach for the U.S. team at the world championships.

Georgia Tech vs. Virginia

HIGHLIGHTS: Julie Dixon and Marissa Lechmann had doubles for Virginia. Maddie Bennett and Nikki Wolfrey hit RBI singles. Julia Wolfrey and Amanda Hough fielded well. For Georgia Tech, Hannah Larsen had four hits, and Katie Judd hit a home run. Kirsten Wach made two great plays, and Grayson Corbett had a terrific putout at first.

FSU vs. Georgia Tech

HIGHLIGHTS: Taylor Kern and Grace Canhan had doubles for Georgia Tech. Mary Arsenault and Rose Brocato made nice plays in the field. Helen Schlimm and Kari Dunagin led the FSU offense, and Sydney Heflinger played a terrific game in the field. Victoria Ketner had two doubles. Kaitlyn Rosslyn and Helen Schlimm were outstanding in the field. Sydney Heflinger and Abigail Herschman hustled all game.

UCLA vs. UNC

HIGHLIGHTS: Jennifer McCarthy and Christina Romano led UCLA at the plate. Mallory Baldwin made great plays at shortstop and first base. For UNC, Mary Margaret Fiocco had three hits and made several defensive plays, including an unassisted double play. Madison Vicendese and Cheyenne Semmont had three hits each.

HIGHLIGHTS: Georgia Tech's Emily Hall made all three outs unassisted in the fourth inning, including a double play. Mady Doherty was also strong on defense. For Virginia, Jessica Hough and Kaili Offenbacher led the defense, and Lizzie McCollum, Ali Wilson and Jazzy Peyton were strong on offense.

HIGHLIGHTS: Jennifer Roberts had two home runs for Maryland. On defense, Kelsey Lopez, Taylor Venizelos and Jennifer Roberts all caught tough fly balls. For Florida State, Jena Frick, Alyssa Andre and Cara McQuitty led the defense. Rebecca Boettcher hit a triple, and Kaci Frick had a double.

HIGHLIGHTS: In her mound debut, Brittany Meyer struck out one, allowed only one run and made three fine defensive plays for North Carolina. Polly Adhya pitched a scoreless inning. Emily Dow had two hits, including a double, and Jessie Rowland made a nice play in right. Sarah Brown had Arizona's only hit, and Ruthie Peroutka made a nice play at second.

HIGHLIGHTS: Pitchers Kasey Smith and Kristen Bilney combined for five strong innings for Virginia. Smith doubled in two runs. Kristen Bilney started a crucial double play in the third to stop a UCLA rally. UCLA's Laura Chilcoat scored three runs, two on stolen bases. Cathy Reid lined a double into center field, and Taylor Ambrose played strong defense at first base.

HIGHLIGHTS: Megan Lucas struck out three and allowed four runs in three innings for Arizona. Nicole Gottuk, Katie Thomas and Ali Parker led the offense. For Maryland, Christina Neidlinger pitched two strong innings. Ellyn Quigg scored after rounding the bases after a dropped third strike. Carolyn Ladzinski had an RBI double.

HIGHLIGHTS: Taylor Ambrose stole home in the bottom of the fourth inning for the winning run. Cathy Reid and Laura Chilcoat combined for four runs for UCLA. Reid and Jessica Tallman had strong pitching performances. For Arizona, Anne Skomba made all three outs in the first inning, two unassisted. Nicole Muffoletto struck out four, and Sarah Brown had a solid hit.

HIGHLIGHTS: Kathy Thornton struck out five and grabbed a hard liner for North Carolina. Emily Dow doubled, and Kelsey Prucha-Mitchell stole five bases. For Maryland, Mary Kehoe stole home, and Miranda Davis and Grace Abel made several good defensive plays.

HIGHLIGHTS: Stanford rallied for seven runs in the last inning. Pitcher Chris Snyder allowed two runs in three innings. Sammi Grimes had three hits, and Tessa Bohman and Hannah Miller hit doubles. For Washington, Arielle Pazornick pitched a solid inning, and Lindsay Snellar and Becca Williams each hit well, with Snellar smacking a double.

HIGHLIGHTS: Gina Smith had a clutch hit and was outstanding defensively for North Carolina. Hannah Keyes drove in two runs, Marisa Goldsmith had a nice hit, and Kelsey Prucha-Mitchell stole home. For UCLA, Christina Fuji pitched an excellent inning and stole two bases, Taylor Ambrose had two hits, and Alex Gordon and Josie Johnson turned in very fine base running.

HIGHLIGHTS: Nicole McMillan hit a two-run home run for Georgia Tech. Allison Lekich had a two-run double, and Clara Heck hit a hard single and stole home. Bruke Mikesell played strong defensively. Washington had great hitting from Ashlie Killian, Kaela Chambers, Sarah Marland and Jamie Geier. Sarah Marland made a run-saving catch in left field.

HIGHLIGHTS: Arizona rallied for four runs in the final inning. Emily Battinelli, Silke Gapsis, Lauren Kolodrubetz and M.Q. Qayumi led the offense. Anna Lawson struck out the final batter with runners on second and third. Courtney Fraas and Caitlin McAnallen threw a combined eight strikeouts for Maryland, which was led offensively by Brittany Luhman, Megan Perry and Caitlyn Tufts.
