ASSAULTS

MOUNT VERNON AVE., 3900 block, 8:50 p.m. May 15. During a fight between four people outside a restaurant, a gun was fired, and two bullets struck a man involved in the fight. The man, 24, was transported to a hospital.

ROBBERIES

BRAGG ST. S., 1-100 block, 3 a.m. May 17. A man pulled a male motorist, 36, from his car and robbed him of cash, and another man hit the victim with an unidentified object, knocking him down. The robbers fled.

GLEBE RD. W., 200 block, 2:07 a.m. May 17. Two men grabbed a female pedestrian, 37, and hit her in the face. One assailant tried to take her purse, but she broke free and ran. Her cell phone was taken during the struggle. Two men, 21 and 29, were arrested and charged with robbery.

MOUNT VERNON AVE., 1000 block, 11:50 p.m. May 17. Four men assaulted a man, 25, who was crossing a ball field. One assailant hit the victim with a small metal bat, and the victim was robbed of cash and jewelry.

TENNESSEE AVE., 800 block, 11:17 p.m. May 16. A man grabbed a female pedestrian, 27, held an unidentified object to her neck and threatened to kill her. The victim bit the assailant's thumb and ran away. A man, 21, was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

CALVERT AVE., 300 block, 4:30 p.m. May 14 to 7:15 a.m. May 15. A white 1995 Chevrolet van was stolen.

EDSALL RD., 6000 block, 8:45 a.m. to noon May 14. A green 1996 Honda Accord was stolen.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 3100 block, 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. A silver 1997 Honda Accord was stolen.

PARK CENTER DR., 3000 block, 9:30 p.m. May 12 to 5:45 a.m. May 13. A red 1998 Ford Taurus was stolen.

SANGER AVE., 5500 block, 8 p.m. May 11 to 6 a.m. May 12. A blue 1995 Chevrolet van was stolen.

SEMINARY RD., 4900 block, 2 p.m. May 16 to 9:50 a.m. May 17. A blue 1987 Toyota Camry was stolen.

TRENT CT., 5500 block, 1 to 8:30 a.m. May 18. A red 1992 Nissan Sentra was stolen.

WHITING ST. S., 400 block, 11:10 p.m. May 14 to 9:48 a.m. May 15. A silver 1999 Acura Integra was stolen.

ROBBERIES

THOMAS ST. N., 400 block, 5:39 a.m. May 15. A man beat a male acquaintance, 49, with a wooden club and robbed him of cash. The robber also beat a male friend of the victim, who attempted to intervene. An Annandale man, 35, was arrested.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 2800 block, 5:09 p.m. May 15. A man driving a maroon Chevrolet Suburban ordered a male pedestrian, 20, into the vehicle and demanded money at gunpoint. The victim complied, then fled.

11TH ST. N., 2300 block, 10:20 p.m. May 14. Five males, one armed with a handgun and another armed with a baseball bat, got out of a silver Toyota and demanded money from two male pedestrians, 18 and 19. The victims fled. Nothing was reported taken.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CLEVELAND ST. S., 1000 block, 7 to 8 a.m. May 16. A man entered one residence and attempted to enter another by forcing a front door. Nothing was reported missing. A man, 59, was arrested.

28TH ST. S., 1400 block, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18. A Sony Playstation 2, DVDs and cash were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked window.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

GREENBRIER ST. S., 700 block. A black 1995 Acura Integra was stolen.

12TH RD.S., 4300 block. A red 1997 Mitsubishi Montero was stolen.
