What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction? "Our community has some of the worst traffic in the country, second only to Los Angeles. Congestion lengthens our workdays, causes commuters frustration and limits the amount of time we spend with our loved ones. The traffic problems in Northern Virginia are unique, and there are no simple answers. There are, however, ways to improve the problem besides new road construction. I believe that creating incentives for public transportation and using our roads more efficiently by staggering the times at which some people commute will ensure that all of us spend less time on the road."

Why should voters elect you? "I believe the people of Northern Virginia want and deserve a representative who will vote the right way and demonstrate sound judgment."
