Children's Street Gala

A street festival celebrates children and the arts at the 10th annual Imagination Bethesda. Performers on the Inspiration Stage include Bethesda Chevy Chase Theater Arts, the Dawn Crafton Dancers, Joy of Motion, Maryland Youth Ballet, Musical Theater Center's Upbeat Unlimited, Motion Mania Dance Center and the Polander Academy of Martial Arts.

There also will be storytellers, face painters and street performers as well as hands-on and arts activities with area businesses and organizations including Kids Moving Company, Bundles of Cookies, Artworks, MusiKids and others. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Folk Festival

The 24th annual Washington Folk Festival features performances and workshops, including music, dance, storytelling and crafts. Noon-10 p.m. Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sunday.

Surfeit of Strawberries

Strawberries dipped in chocolate, strawberry shortcake and any other imaginable recipe with strawberries can be found at the 23rd annual Strawberry Festival at the Sandy Spring Museum. The festival also includes children's activities such as hayrides and a moon bounce and demonstrations of blacksmithing, sheep shearing and butter churning. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.
