ASSAULTS

DEMOCRACY BLVD., 7100 block, 1 p.m. May 17. Four males, one with a machete, accosted a Bethesda man, 21. The man ran and locked himself in an office and an employee asked the assailants to leave.

GREENLAWN DR., 5800 block, 9:30 p.m. May 18. A man shot a Bethesda woman, 51, and she was taken to a local hospital for treatment. A male relative, 51, of Bethesda was charged with first-degree assault.

ROBBERIES

CONNECTICUT AVE., 10500 block, 6:15 p.m. Feb. 10. A Temple Hills man, 28, was charged May 20 with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 3500 block, 10 a.m. May 19. A man wearing a bandana over his face robbed a bank at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CHEVY CHASE LAKE DR., 3700 block, May 3 to May 11. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

CORDELL AVE., 4700 block, 2:42 p.m. May 15. A business was entered by forcing open a door. Nothing was reported missing.

EXECUTIVE BLVD., 6000 block, 6 p.m. May 14 to 9:45 a.m. May 17. Cash was stolen from a business entered by forcing open a door.

ASSAULTS

FENTON ST., 8600 block. A Silver Spring man, 25, was charged May 14 with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly intoxication in connection with an incident at the above location.

FENTON STREET AND ELLSWORTH DRIVE, 10:05 a.m. May 16. A man struck a Silver Spring female pedestrian, 29, in the face. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and treated for an injury.

ROBBERIES

BARRON STREET AND DOMER AVENUE, 10:30 p.m. May 15. Four males accosted a Silver Spring man, 22, and one of the males punched him in the face and robbed him of property.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 12800 block, 10:32 p.m. May 18. A male grabbed the necklace from the neck of a Silver Spring man, 21, and fled in a vehicle.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

COLUMBIA PIKE, 15900 block, 9 p.m. May 13 to 6:45 a.m. May 14. A business was entered by forcing open a door. Nothing was reported missing.

ROBBERIES

GEORGIA AVENUE AND URBAN DRIVE, 2:55 p.m. May 20. A man grabbed a purse of a Silver Spring woman, 36, and fled in a vehicle. Police stopped a vehicle and two Takoma Park men, age 19, and three Silver Spring men, ages 18, 20 and 22, were charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the incident.

LYDIA ST., 13400 block, May 16. Two males accosted a Wheaton man, 33, and one of the males hit him in the head with a gun and robbed him of a wallet.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 10100 block, 3 p.m. May 18. A male attempted to rob a store of merchandise and fled after a brief struggle with one of the employees.

ASHMONT TER., 2600 block, 6 to 10:35 p.m. May 14. A residence was entered by forcing open a door. Nothing was reported missing.

COLGATE WAY, 13600 block. A Capitol Heights man, 22, was charged May 14 with fourth-degree burglary in connection with an incident at the above location.

ESTELLE TER., 3300 block, 12:30 p.m. Jan. 4 to 2 p.m. May 13. A mattress and box spring, a TV and a mirror were stolen from a residence.

FOXHILL DR., 13300 block, 8 a.m. May 16 to 3 p.m. May 17. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a door.

FRANKFORT DR. W., 4400 block, 11:30 a.m. May 24. Three Wheaton residents, one age 14 and two ages 15; and two Rockville residents, ages 14 and 15, were charged with first- and third-degree burglary, destruction of property, theft under $500 and conspiracy in connection with an incident at the above location.

HOLDRIDGE RD., 13200 block, noon May 18 to 4:45 p.m. May 19. A gun, cash, a video game system, a paintball canister and a wallet were stolen from a residence entered through a window.
