County Resorts to Trapping Cats

Animal Control is conducting humane trapping throughout the county to control the cat population, which the division has deemed "a nuisance problem." According to division officials, cats may be outside on the owner's property but are not allowed to roam off the property. Animals left outside must have appropriate shelter, access to fresh water and nutritious food in sufficient quantity. Animal control officials are available to answer questions and provide humane traps to county residents for stray cats.
