LEE HWY., 9400 block, 9 p.m. June 3. A man refused to leave the apartment of a 25-year-old female acquaintance. He became belligerent with police and allegedly resisted arrest. A 26-year-old Annandale area man was charged with two counts of assaulting an officer, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

HOMICIDES

MASSEY CT., 2500 block, 10:30 p.m. June 7. A man was shot in the upper body during an argument. Neighbors found Randall LeClaire, 52, of the 2500 block of Massey Court, dead in his home. A male relative, 50, of the same address, was found at a nearby restaurant and charged with murder and use of a firearm while committing a felony.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

RICHMOND HWY., 6600 block, 2:30 p.m. June 3. Police were called to a hotel, where they found a female juvenile in a room with a man. An investigation revealed that the man met the girl in an Internet chat room and arranged to pick her up at her school. He took her to the hotel, where he photographed her in various stages of undress. A 39-year-old West Virginia man was charged with possession with intent to distribute child pornography.

ROBBERIES

PANTANO PL., 8000 block, 9 a.m. May 6. A man punched a 66-year-old woman in the face twice, then pushed her to the ground and took her purse. The woman was treated at a hospital. A 21-year-old Alexandria area man was charged with robbery.

A 19-year-old Hybla Valley area man was charged with possession of stolen property, burglary and grand theft. An 18-year-old Mount Vernon area man was charged with possession of stolen property.

FREEDOM DR., 11900 block, June 3. A man was arrested in connection with the recent theft of a sculpture of a woman on display at Reston Town Center. Detectives obtained information that the sculpture was in an apartment in Herndon, and a search of the apartment led to the recovery of the sculpture and other stolen items. A 45-year-old Herndon man was charged with grand theft.

BEVAN DR., 3700 block, 8:31 p.m. June 5. Police, responding to an alarm at a middle school, found an unlocked door. A police K-9 unit entered the building, and, after an announcement was made on the school's public address system, three juveniles ran from the school. Three juveniles, ages 9, 13 and 14, were stopped and released to their parents.

CHESTNUT ST., 4100 block, June 5 to June 6. An air compressor was stolen from a vehicle at a residence.

LAYTON HALL DR., 10300 block, June 4 to June 5. Stereos were stolen from two vehicles at an apartment complex.

LEE HWY., 9600 block, 4 to 7 p.m. June 4. A wallet left on a toolbox at a service station was stolen.

LEE HWY., 10700 block, June 1 to June 2. DVDs were stolen from a video store.

BROAD ST. W., 1000 block, 7:15 to 10:37 a.m. June 3. Two employees of a business fought each other.

BROAD ST. W., 1200 block, 12:56 a.m. June 3. A security guard stopped a male he had observed concealing a six-pack of beer in his backpack. The guard grabbed the male by his shirt, but the suspect twisted out of it, shoved the guard and fled, leaving his shirt and backpack behind.

WILSON BLVD., 6700 block, 1:23 p.m. June 2. A woman, leaving a store with several articles of clothing, struggled with the store's owner, then fled on foot.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

GROVE AVE., 300 block, midnight May 27 to 11:29 a.m. June 6. An air conditioning unit was stolen from a vacant house, and mud was tracked through the house.

MAPLE AVE. S., 400 block, 5 p.m. May 27 to 12:29 p.m. June 4. The rear license plate was stolen from a truck.

MAPLE AVE. S., 400 block, midnight May 27 to 4:31 p.m. June 4. A male employee of a pool business failed to return the company truck and equipment at the end of his shift. He was contacted and told to return the truck. Company employees found the truck by the side of a road, missing equipment.

VIRGINIA AVE. S., 100 block, 6:47 p.m. June 2. A boy's Giant BMX bicycle was stolen outside a residence.

WASHINGTON ST. S., 200 block, 10:02 p.m. June 1. A male stole a 12-pack of beer from a refrigerator in a convenience store.

WILSON BLVD., 6700 block, 10 p.m. June 5 to 9:20 a.m. June 6. Cash was stolen from a sandwich shop entered through the ceiling.

ROOSEVELT BLVD., 400 block, 6 p.m. May 29 to 10:55 a.m. June 3. A 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra was stolen from a parking lot of an auto body shop.

VILLA RIDGE RD., 800 block, 9 a.m. to 12:59 p.m. June 2. A 1998 Honda Elite motorcycle was stolen from the front yard of a residence.

VANDALISM

GROVE AVE., 300 block, midnight June 3 to 6:53 a.m. June 4. Paint balls were shot at several vehicles parked on a street.
