Player of the Year

KI MOON, Mount Hebron, Sr.

Two-time All-County player won the county and region championship this fall and tied for 14th at the 4A/3A state tournament.

Moon, who did not play for Mount Hebron during the spring season so he could spend more time working with his personal coach, said his goal is to earn his professional tour card in two years.

Moon was undefeated in county and region tournament play in each of the past two years.

"My goal is to play professionally someday," Moon said. "Golf's very fun, and I like going out there and trying to shoot better and better every day. It's really challenging."

Coach of the Year

PAUL LINGEMAN, Centennial

Lingeman guided the Eagles to the county title this spring with a record of 14-1.

He worked on players' individual games, and his efforts paid off when his son David tied for sixth at the 4A/3A state tournament and senior Mike McDonald won the county title this spring after failing to qualify for the state tournament last fall.

"Coach Lingeman really worked with me on my game and played a big part in me winning the county tournament," McDonald said. "He really helped me become a better golfer."
