Player of the Year

KRISTEN SLAHOR, Mount Hebron, Sr.

Catalyst of Vikings' attack scored 60 goals and added 60 assists as she guided an offense that scored 378 goals in 18 games.

Slahor, a team captain and All-Met, helped the top-ranked Vikings (18-0) to their third consecutive undefeated season and their eighth consecutive state title. Slahor, who will play for Ohio State next year, posted 85 goals and 75 assists collectively in two seasons.

"She isn't a flashy player, but when she gets the ball, she finds a way to make it happen," Mount Hebron Coach Brooke Kuhl-McClelland said. "She can do it all: She can pass, shoot and is also a great defender. She's everything you look for in a player."

Coach of the Year

JAY BOND, River Hill

Bond, who coached the River Hill boys' lacrosse team for four years (1996-1999), took over the girls' team and guided the Hawks (9-5) to one of the best regular seasons in school history. The Hawks went 7-3 in the regular season for fourth in the county standings and won one game in the Maryland 3A/2A North Region tournament before falling to Mount Hebron in the semifinals.

First Team

CHELSEY BARRETT, Atholton, Sr.: Midfielder recorded 34 goals and 10 assists to help the Raiders (9-8) to their second consecutive winning season.

STEPHANIE BISSETT, Mount Hebron, Sr.: All-Met defender collected 22 groundballs and forced 10 turnovers. Will play for Syracuse.

ALY BLUM, Glenelg, Jr.: Defender collected a school-record 156 groundballs to give her a school-record 290 for her career, and also led county defenders in goals (15) and assists (13).

HALLEY BORING, Atholton, Sr.: Midfielder recorded a team-high 73 goals and 33 assists. Will play for Randolph-Macon College.

MEGAN BOSICA, Mount Hebron, Soph.: Midfielder posted a team-high 70 goals to go along with 20 assists.

SARAH CARTER, Long Reach, Sr.: Midfielder led the Lightning in goals (19) and assists (20) to become the school's first player to earn a Division I lacrosse scholarship. She will play for Drexel.

TERRI COOVER, Glenelg, Jr.: Midfielder posted 42 goals and 21 assists, and collected 48 groundballs.

MERISSA EIDE, Mount Hebron, Jr.: Defender collected 55 groundballs and forced 15 turnovers.

CHRISSIE GALINDO, Mount Hebron, Jr.: Tremendous one-on-one defender collected 17 groundballs and intercepted four passes to lead a defense that allowed just 40 goals in 18 games.

SUZY HERLIHY, River Hill, Jr.: Goalie led River Hill to the Maryland 3A/2A semifinals by stopping 120 of 221 shots (52.4 percent).

CHELSEA KAPP, Glenelg, Sr.: Midfielder had 39 goals and 17 assists and collected 71 groundballs. Will play for American University.

GINNA LANCE, Mount Hebron, Jr.: Midfielder had 20 goals and six assists and collected a team-high 48 groundballs.

CHELSEA PARKS, Centennial, Jr.: Two-time All-County midfielder led the team with 35 goals and 22 assists.

MEG TAYLOR, Mount Hebron, Jr.: Attack recorded 46 goals and eight assists.

TAYLOR ZANELOTTI, River Hill, Sr.: Attack posted a team-high 33 goals and 18 assists.
