St. Philip's Episcopal Church announces its summer worship schedule. Sunday services will take place at 7:30 and 10 a.m. A nursery will be available from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. for infants through 4-year-olds. There will also be services on Wednesdays at noon and 8 p.m.

The Wednesday Bible studies program will focus on the Book of Proverbs.

Reach the World Christian Church will hold a praise festival on June 25 at 9 p.m. Local gospel vocalists and instrumentalists, poets and other musicians will perform a wide range of works from contemporary pieces to hip-hop. University United Methodist Church, Riverdale Presbyterian Church and Berwyn Presbyterian Church are now registering children ages 3 through 11 for their vacation Bible school. The school will be in session from 9:30 a.m. to noon, June 27 through July 2. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church will host a concert by the Jones Family, a four-voice Brentwood-based folk ensemble, and a party to celebrate the release of the group's CD "From Earth to Heaven," at 8 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments will be available for purchase, with the proceeds going to the Great American Bake Sale, a national program sponsored by Share Our Strength and Parade magazine to end child hunger in America.
