* April 27

After losing two consecutive games with much of the team suspended for violating school policy, the Cavaliers, back at full strength, defeat South Lakes, 20-1.

The victory sparks a four-game winning streak in which the Cavaliers outscore their opponents, 75-8.

* May 11

Woodson plays private school power Georgetown Visitation tough but loses, 10-8, in its regular season finale. The setback sparks another run, however. The Cavaliers won't lose again, winning eight straight to capture Liberty District, Northern Region and unofficial Virginia AAA championships.

* June 12

The Cavaliers play near flawless lacrosse and put the state championship game away midway through the first half.
