Adam McDaniel, Broad Run

Midfielder, Senior

Repeat All-Extra and All-Met selection was a consistent threat on offense and controlled the Spartans' attack at central midfield, finishing with 17 goals and 16 assists. Despite drawing top defenders, he used his exceptional ball control skills and quickness to produce opportunities and help lead Broad Run to the Region II semifinals.

Jeff Willingham, Park View

Third Season

Despite injuries that whittled the Patriots down to two reserves by the end of the season, Park View finished third in the Dulles District but earned a Region II berth by winning the district tournament title.

* F Jon Blackwell, Highland, Sr. -- Speedy attacker had 20 goals and 14 assists to lead the Hawks to an undefeated regular season in the Delaney Athletic Conference. Repeat All-Extra selection will play for Pennsylvania.

* F Eric Kilanski, Fauquier, Sr. -- A resourceful and reliable finisher and first-team Northwestern District selection, he had a team-high 13 goals.

* F Phil Kowalick, Potomac Falls, Jr. -- First-team all-Region II and Virginia AA selection was the Dulles District player of the year. Finished with 22 goals and 14 assists.

* MF Chris Chaves, Loudoun County, Sr. -- One of the Dulles District's top talents, he had 9 goals and 6 assists. Will play for Virginia Commonwealth.

* MF Bill Kirchner, Potomac Falls, Sr. -- Fueled the Panthers' offense with 16 goals and 24 assists. Two-time All-Extra choice will play for Northeastern.

* MF David Metcalf, Wakefield, Sr. -- Possesses a quick first touch and precise passing ability. Will play for Princeton.

* MF De Monh, Park View, Sr. -- Patriots' field general scored 11 goals and had 9 assists. Will attempt to walk on at North Carolina Wesleyan.

* MF Kevin Palensky, Dominion, Jr. -- Park View transfer used his 6-3 frame to score 15 goals and earn all-Dulles District honors. Also had five assists.

* D David Bobbin, Potomac Falls, Sr. -- Linchpin of Panthers' defense and routinely took on top defensive assignments. Scored two goals.

* D Russell Korte, Broad Run, Sr. -- A strong presence, the repeat All-Extra selection was a key factor as the Spartans yielded less than a goal per game. All-Dulles District choice.

* D Mario Salazar, Park View, Sr. -- Hard-nosed and quick defender regularly shut down the Dulles District's best attackers. First-team all-district selection.

* GK Erik Reeves, Broad Run, Sr. -- Athletic and consistent keeper posted a Dulles District-leading seven shutouts. Repeat All-Extra selection was a first-team choice in Dulles District, Region II and Virginia AA voting.
