Officers identified: The two Prince George's County police officers involved in a gunfight with two carjacking suspects early Sunday were identified by officials yesterday as Mujahid Ramzziddin and Antonio Savoy.

Officials said that the officers are assigned to the Palmer Park District and that they have been on the force for less than a year. Both were placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the internal investigation.

The officers fired at two men who had beaten a man, stolen his vehicle and shot at the officers, authorities said. One of the suspects was injured and arrested. The other fled and was being sought yesterday.

Woman sentenced: A 24-year-old Howard County woman was sentenced yesterday to a 15-month prison term for harboring her fugitive boyfriend.

Melonie Wilson of Columbia was convicted in January of helping to hide Antwain Dykes, 22, after he walked out of court in the middle of his trial in Washington on federal gun and drug charges May 15, 2003. The trial went on without him, and he was convicted and sentenced to 100 months in prison.

Prosecutors said Wilson was with Dykes at her home and in motels while he was on the lam. U.S. marshals apprehended Dykes on June 22, 2003, after a short chase near Dulles International Airport, where he was driving Wilson's car. Wilson was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge Thomas F. Hogan.
