Columbia Area

ROBBERIES

CHARTER DR., 10700 block, 3:30 p.m. June 10. A male grabbed a purse from a female leaving a convenience store, struggled with her, then fled on foot.

LITTLE PATUXENT PKWY., 10300 block, 5:30 p.m. June 11. A man in a parking lot grabbed a purse from a female and fled toward Lake Kittamaquandi. Police responded and arrested a 19-year-old man.

TURNABOUT LANE, 6100 block, 11:45 p.m. June 11. A male pulled out what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash from a person. The person realized the gun was not real and a struggle ensued. The robber fled with the person's wallet.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BASKET RING RD., 9600 block, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 14. Video games were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a basement window.

CROSS FOX LANE, 10500 block, 9:25 p.m. June 14. A male attempted to enter an open window at a residence and a resident shut the window on him. The intruder fled before police arrived.

FRAGRANT LILIES WAY, 9900 block, 3 p.m. June 9 to 7:30 a.m. June 10. Kitchen cabinets were stolen from an unlocked house under construction.

HICKORY RIDGE RD., 10800 block, 12:22 a.m. June 12. Front door windows were smashed at a business. Nothing was reported stolen.

KILIMANJARO RD., 9400 block, 9:56 p.m. June 13. Police responded to an alarm at a high school, found a broken rear window and heard voices saying, "Run, get out of here!" Police did not locate anyone inside. Nothing was reported stolen.

LITTLE PATUXENT PKWY., 10300 block, 12:01 a.m. June 11. Jewelry was stolen from a business at a shopping mall.

SEWELLS ORCHARD DR., 6400 block, 12:35 p.m. June 15. Five or six boys were seen inside a residential garage. Two of the boys were on skateboards. The boys fled after they were seen. Nothing was reported stolen.

STEVENS FOREST RD., 5800 block, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 13. A video game system and games were stolen from an apartment.

TURNABOUT LANE, 5900 block, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 14. Coins and video games were stolen from an apartment.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

TWIN RIVERS RD., 10500 block, 6:05 a.m. June 14. An attempt was made to steal a red Mazda.

Dayton Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

TEN OAKS RD., 4800 block, 11:30 p.m. June 8 to 10:50 a.m. June 9. A business was entered by forcing a back door. Nothing was reported stolen.

Elkridge Area

ROBBERIES

MARSHALEE DR., 6000 block, 12:35 p.m. June 13. A man and a woman were being questioned by police in reference to an alleged grocery store fraud. The man then assaulted a police officer, fled to a vehicle, opened the driver side door and pulled a female from the vehicle. The man entered the vehicle and attempted to drive away but could not locate the keys. Police removed the man from the vehicle and was injured when the man resisted. A man, age 35, and a woman, age 25 were arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BROOKDALE DR., 7100 block, 3 a.m. June 14. Police saw four boys climbing over a fence at a business. Four boys -- ages 14, 16 and two age 17 -- were arrested. Police recovered a 1994 Plymouth Voyager, reported stolen from Baltimore, and found burglary tools and gloves inside the vehicle.

GROUSE RD., 6600 block, 12:06 p.m. June 14. A gun was stolen from a residence entered by force.

MONTGOMERY RD., 7200 block, 9 a.m. June 8 to 8:15 a.m. June 11. A VCR and a TV were stolen from a residence entered through a sliding back door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

GREEN TREE DR., 8100 block, 8 p.m. June 10 to 6:30 a.m. June 11. An attempt was made to steal a white 1995 Honda Civic.

ROBBERIES

NORTH RIDGE RD., 3200 block, 11:01 p.m. June 15. A male in a discount shopping store pulled out a handgun and robbed a cashier of cash and a pair of boots.

COLLEGE AVE., 4100 block, 9:32 p.m. June

10. A blue 1991 Toyota Camry was stolen.

SPENCER CT., 3800 block, 7:30 a.m. June 10. A green 1995 Ford Mustang was stolen.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

AUTUMN WAY, 8300 block, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 11. A white 2002 Ford van was stolen.

Laurel Area

ROBBERIES

GORMAN RD., 8800 block, 2:15 a.m. June 13. A male in a gas station store attempted to make a purchase, then pulled out a knife and demanded cash from a clerk. The clerk complied and the robber fled on foot.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

OLD COLUMBIA RD., 8400 block, 11:10 p.m. June 13 to 7:30 a.m. June 14. Coins were stolen from video game machines at a business entered by cutting a surrounding fence and breaking a window.

6:43 a.m. June 14. A white Ford van was stolen.

FREESTATE DR., 8800 block, May 18 to 4:07 p.m. June 12. A gray 2000 Acura 3.2TL was stolen.

STANSFIELD RD., 10400 block, 1 to 6 a.m. June 11. A white 2002 Honda Civic was stolen.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 9800 block, 3 p.m. June 7 to 12:43 p.m. June 8. A white 1996 Dodge was stolen.

SAVAGE-GUILFORD RD., 8400 block, 4:20 to 8 p.m. June 13. An academy was entered through a rear window. Nothing was reported stolen.

Woodbine Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BUSHY PARK RD., 15200 block, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 11. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a back door. Several dressers were found to have been opened.
