Bethesda District

ASSAULTS

WISCASSETT RD., 6200 block, 1:41 a.m. June 13. A man shot a Bethesda woman, 45, and a Bethesda man, 41, with a BB gun. The woman was taken to a local hospital and treated for a head injury and the man was treated at the scene for a hand injury. A Mount Airy man, 25, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in connection with the incident.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARMAT DR., 7100 block, 1:28 p.m. June 1 to 4:37 p.m. June 7. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a door.

CORDELL AVE., 4800 block, 9 p.m. May 16 to 10:30 a.m. May 17. Wine was stolen from a business.

MEREDITH AVE., 10500 block, 3:55 to 6:30 p.m. June 3. A residence was entered by forcing open a door. Nothing was reported missing.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 11300 block, 3:15 to 4:43 a.m. June 7. An attempt was made to enter a business by forcing a door.

RUGBY AVE., 4800 block, 5 p.m. June 4 to 7:15 a.m. June 7. Computer equipment was stolen from a business entered by forcing open a door.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7700 block, 4:30 p.m. June 4 to 2:15 p.m. June 5. Cash was stolen from a business entered by forcing open a door.

ASSAULTS

FREDERICK RD., 20000 block, June 2. A Germantown man, 26, was charged June 2 with first and second-degree assault, first- and fourth-degree burglary, possession of a handgun, trespassing and possession of a handgun with intent to injure in connection with an incident at the above location.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CRYSTAL ROCK RD., 19700 block, June 2. A Germantown man, 22, was charged June 2 with fourth-degree burglary and trespassing.

FREDERICK RD., 19700 block, 10:30 a.m. June 4 to 7:10 a.m. June 5. Cash was stolen from a business entered by forcing open a door.

SPATES HILL RD., 17100 block, 10:30 a.m. June 3 to 9:40 a.m. June 4. A residence was entered by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.

SUNCREST AVE., 13100 block, 8 a.m. May 28 to 11 a.m. May 29. A paintball gun and fireworks were stolen from a residence.

WILDCAT RD., 22700 block, 8 a.m. May 30 to 8 a.m. May 31. A motorcycle was stolen from a garage.

ASSAULTS

BELL BLUFF RD., 20800 block, June 3. A Gaithersburg man, 31, was charged June 3 with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment in connection with an incident at the above location.

CENTERWAY RD., 9000 block, 9:50 p.m. June 9. A gunman forced his way into a residence and after a brief struggle, shot a Dickerson man, 40. The man was taken to a hospital and treated for injuries.

GIRARD ST., 400 block, June 7. A Montgomery Village man, 18, was charged June 7 with first-degree assault and concealed deadly weapon in connection with an incident at the above location.

ROBBERIES

BUREAU DR., 1 to 100 block, 9 a.m. June 5. A male cyclist outside a bank rode his bicycle through a drive-through lane, gave a note to the teller and demanded cash. Then the male went to the front door of the bank, held a package and claimed it was a bomb. The teller pushed an alarm button and the robber fled.

FREDERICK AVE. S., 1 to 100 block, 11:30 p.m. June 8. A male with a knife grabbed the car keys of a Gaithersburg woman, 27, and he and another male drove off with the woman's vehicle.

WINDBROOKE CIR., 100 block, 8:40 p.m. June 2. A man punched a Gaithersburg woman, 44, and grabbed her purse.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRASSIE PL., 19500 block, 7:45 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. June 3. A residence was entered by forcing open a door. Nothing was reported missing.

CAPRICORN TER., 7900 block, 7900 block, 4 p.m. June 3 to 1 a.m. June 8. A residence was entered by forcing open a door. Nothing was reported missing.

OAK BLUFF CT., 8600 block, May 28 to 12:30 p.m. June 1. Tools were stolen from a garage.

QUINCE ORCHARD BLVD., 600 block, 10:30 p.m. June 5 to 10:45 a.m. June 6. Cash and two dogs were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

RIDGELINE DR., 10200 block, May 31. A man, 29, of no fixed address, was charged May 31 with fourth-degree burglary and destruction of property in connection with an incident at the above location.

RIGGS RD., 10100 block, June 3. An Adelphi man, 25, was charged June 3 with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and child abuse in connection with an incident at the above location.

SUMMIT AVE. N., 400 block, 11:30 p.m. May 28 to 2 a.m. May 29. Cash and a telephone were stolen from a residence.

VIRGINIA DR., 1 to 100 block, 8:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. May 28. A residence was entered by forcing open a door. Nothing was reported missing.

WOODLAND RD., 300 block, 10:30 a.m. June 1 to 10:30 a.m. June 2. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a door.

PARKLAWN DRIVE AND RANDOLPH ROAD, 8 p.m. June 2. A man accosted a Rockville woman, 30, from behind and grabbed her bag.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MILL RUN DR., 7200 block, 5:15 to 11:10 p.m. June 2. Cash and a purse were stolen from a residence.

MORNING GLORY CT., 4900 block, 5:30 to 5:45 p.m. May 31. Beer and soda were stolen from a garage.

PARKLAWN DR., 11900 block, noon May 30 to noon June 5. Tools were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a door.

TRAVILAH RD., 14100 block, June 1. A Poolesville man, 44, was charged June 1 with first-degree burglary, theft and destruction of property in connection with an incident at the above location.

TRAVILAH RD., 14100 block, May 26. A Rockville man, 46, was charged May 26 with theft over $500, auto theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in connection with an incident at the above location.

TRIPLE CROWN RD.,12600 block, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 7. Cash, computer equipment and a video recorder were stolen from a residence.

WATERWAY DR., 14900 block, 10 a.m. May 29 to 10:30 p.m. June 1. A residence was entered by forcing open a door. Nothing was reported missing.

Silver Spring District

ASSAULTS

BONIFANT ST., 1100 block, 10:30 p.m. June 2. A man, 19, of no fixed address, was charged June 2 with possession of marijuana, first-degree assault and attempt armed robbery in connection with an incident at the above location.

SCHUYLER RD., 100 block, 6:45 p.m. June 14. A male argued with a Silver Spring man and two juveniles, pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot them. One of the juveniles pulled out a gun and the assailant ran to a vehicle in a parking lot. The vehicle was occupied by two other males and shots were fired at the Silver Spring man as they drove away. No injuries were reported.

13TH STREET AND EASTERN AVENUE, 12:54 a.m. May 30. A man accosted a District woman, 42, and grabbed her purse.

ROBBERIES

BARRON ST., 8500 block, 9:45 p.m. June 4. Two men struck a delivery person and robbed him of a wallet.

COLESVILLE ROAD AND CAMERON STREET, 11:30 p.m. June 14. A male outside a vehicle pulled a knife on an adult male motorist, who had just entered his vehicle and locked its door. The man, 23, of Silver Spring, drove away and called police.

ROBEY TER., 3400 block, 10:13 p.m. May 30. Several males accosted a Silver Spring man, 29, as he got out of a vehicle, demanded cash and then punched him. The man broke free, but dropped his car keys as he fled. The man returned for his keys and found one of the males attempting to steal his vehicle. He broke out one of the windows and pulled out the male driver. All the robbers fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

FENTON ST., 7800 block, noon May 24 to 9 a.m. May 31. Stereo equipment was stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a door.

FLOWER AVE., 7600 block, May 30. A Riverdale man, 22, was charged May 30 with fourth-degree burglary and trespassing in connection with an incident at the above location.

GEORGIA AVE., 8700 block, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 6. Personal papers were stolen from a residence.

LOCKWOOD DR., 11500 block, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 3. A video game system and games and clothing were stolen from a residence.

PHILADELPHIA AVE., 900 block, May 23. A man, 53, of no fixed address, was charged May 23 with first-degree burglary and trespassing in connection with an incident at the above location.

SCHINDLER RD., 900 block, June 8. Three Silver Spring residents, two age 15 and the third age 16, were charged June 8 with second-degree burglary, conspiracy and theft under $500 in connection with an incident at the above location.

STEWART LANE, 11400 block, 6 p.m. June 3 to 8:46 p.m. June 4. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

Wheaton/Glenmont District

HOMICIDES

VALLEYFIELD DR., 14,000 block, 11:05 p.m. June 4. A Silver Spring resident, 16 and a Germantown man, 19, were charged June 9 with second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, second-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault in connection with the June 4 beating death of Malik McCoy, 16, of Silver Spring, which occurred at the Valleyfield Drive location. A Silver Spring juvenile, 17, was charged June 11 with second-degree murder, second-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault in connection with the same incident.

ROBBERIES

GEORGIA AVE., 14300 block, June 1. Two Silver Spring juveniles, ages 14, were charged June 1 with robbery and first- and second-degree assault in connection with an incident at the above location.

ROBEY TER., 3400 block, 10:13 p.m. May 30. Two males accosted a Wheaton man, 29, getting out of his vehicle, punched and kicked him, and attempted to rob him of cash. The man broke free and ran to his apartment but lost his car keys. The man came back out of his apartment and confronted one of the males attempting to steal his car. The robbers fled.

ROBEY TER., 3400 block, 10:52 p.m. June 1. A male armed with a stick demanded cash from a pizza delivery driver. Two other males, one also armed with a stick, joined the assailant and robbed the driver of cash and a wallet.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BAILEYS CT., 1 to 100 block, 5 p.m. May 29 to 6 p.m. May 30. A handgun, DVDs and walkie-talkies were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

CHARLES RD., 12300 block, 8:12 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8. A video game system, a hand-held video game and a telephone were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

COBBLESTONE DR., 14700 block, 2 p.m. June 3 to 8 a.m. June 7. Cash and cigars were stolen from a residence.

DUNSINANE DR., 3800 block, 8:25 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. June 7. A residence was entered by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.

ELKIN ST., 11300 block, June 5. Power tools were stolen from a business entered by forcing open a door.

GEORGIA AVE., 11500 block, 6:30 p.m. June 2 to 10:30 a.m. June 3. Computer equipment was stolen from a business entered by forcing open a door.

HEWITT AVE., 3200 block, 2 to 6 p.m. May 29. A video game system and games were stolen from a residence.

VILLAGE MART DR., 18100 block, June 4. An Olney juvenile, 17, was charged June 4 with first-degree burglary, assault on a police officer, destruction of property, theft over $500 and resisting arrest in connection with an incident at the above location.

RESEARCH CT., 1 to 100 block, 10 to 10:30 a.m. June 9. Cash was stolen from a purse.

TAFT STREET AND LOFSTRAND LANE, 4 to 4:30 a.m. June 13. Two Rockville residents, ages 12 and 14, and a Gaithersburg resident, 13, were charged with auto theft following a traffic stop at the above location.

WASHINGTON ST. N., 200 block, 12:45 p.m. June 9. A man reached into a purse in a grocery cart and removed a wallet.

WASHINGTON ST. N., 200 block, 3:30 p.m. June 7. A Rockville man, 40, was charged with theft and two Germantown men, ages 48 and 49, were charged with conspiracy to commit theft in connection with an incident at the above location.

WASHINGTON ST. N., 200 block, 3:59 p.m. June 11. A wallet was stolen.

WASHINGTON ST. N., 200 block, 5:55 p.m. June 9. A purse was stolen from a shopping cart. The purse and its contents were later recovered.

WASHINGTON ST. N., 200 block, 6:32 to 6:34 p.m. June 11. A purse was stolen.

Takoma Park

ROBBERIES

CARROLL AVE., 7400 block, 9:13 p.m. June 13. Two men grabbed the purse of a female pedestrian and fled in a vehicle. An off-duty Takoma Park Police officer followed the vehicle and the robbers met a third male, abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The vehicle was found to have been reported stolen from the District.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HUDSON AVE., 600 block, 6 a.m. June 13. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 6400 block, 1 p.m. June 11. A 1991 Buick LeSabre was stolen.
