* Three-time All-Met and three-time All-Extra Player of the Year.

* All-Met Player of the Year also honored as top player in Cedar Run District and Northwestern Region.

* Batted .521 with .819 slugging percentage, 10 doubles, 3 triples, 4 home runs, 27 RBI and 15 walks while striking out just one time.

* Part-time shortstop posted 0.71 ERA in 11 pitching appearances, most of them late in the season.

* Will play at Mississippi State.

Coach of the Year

* Repeat All-Extra honoree guided alma mater to state title after consecutive Virginia AAA runner-up finishes.

* Cedar Run District and Northwestern Region champions went 26-2, including state tournament wins over Oakton (20-7), Mills Godwin (23-1) and Madison (25-5).

* Raiders finished season ranked No. 1 in metropolitan area.

First Team

P Cristi Ecks, Osbourn, Jr. -- All-Met, all-region and repeat All-Extra choice struck out 247 batters and walked 13 while compiling a 0.88 ERA, with 13 shutouts and three no-hitters. Batted .364 with 23 RBI and committed no errors.

C Sarah Himan, Hylton, Soph. -- First-team all-region pick batted .381, scored 11 runs and posted a fielding percentage of .982 for region quarterfinalists.

C Laura Hundemer, Osbourn, Sr. -- Eagles' lone senior provided steadying hand for team making third straight state tournament appearance. Batted .275and had .988 fielding percentage. Will attend Radford University.

IF Amanda Burk, Stonewall Jackson, Jr. -- First-team all-region pick played six different positions for the Raiders, usually shortstop, while batting. 355 and scoring 30 runs.

IF Jessie Green, Stonewall Jackson, Jr. -- All-Met and repeat All-Extra first baseman batted .452 with 4 home runs, 12 doubles, 23 runs and 39 RBI.

IF Sarah Malene, Gar-Field, Jr. -- Repeat All-Extra pick switched from second to shortstop and batted .350, posted a .500 on-base average and stole 10 bases for Northwestern Region quarterfinalists.

IF Alex Roderick, Hylton, Jr. -- Repeat All-Extra choice at shortstop batted .347 and scored 11 runs for Cardinal District regular season and tournament champions.

IF Kat Beauvais, Osbourn Park, Soph. -- Batted .375 with six doubles and two triples while playing a near-flawless third base.

OF Amanda D'Attilio, Hylton, Jr. -- Cardinal District player of the year batted .444 with 6 doubles, 4 home runs, 11 RBI and 16 runs scored without striking out all season.

OF Brittany Lansdowne, Osbourn, Jr. -- Second-team All-Met and first-team all-region pick batted .364 with a 4 home runs (school record), 6 doubles, 2 triples and 24 RBI.

UT Rebecca Horesky, Gar-Field, Jr. -- Batted .371 with eight extra-base hits and 16 RBI and also had a 1.95 ERA as the Indians' top pitcher.
