HOMICIDES

BENNING RD., 4400 block, 3:34 a.m. June 24. Leon Johnson, 25, of the 2300 block of Pitts Place SE, was found in a restaurant with stab wounds. He was taken to Prince George's County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:12 a.m.

ROBBERIES

CLAY PL., 5700 block, 9:33 to 9:34 a.m. June 13. A male got out of a vehicle and robbed a pedestrian of a purse containing credit cards and documents.

MADISON ST., 400 block, 4:15 to 4:30 a.m. June 13. Two males forced a male pedestrian to the ground and searched his pockets.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 1-99 block, 1:24 p.m. June 14. Property was snatched from a person at a train terminal and later recovered.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 1-99 block, 1:50 to 2:05 p.m. June 15. A person noticed their property was missing after two males left a table in a food court.

MINNESOTA AVE., 3800 block, 8:20 to 9:15 a.m. April 25. A male snatched a purse from the front passenger seat of a female driver's vehicle after she asked for directions.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 6200 block, 11:20 p.m. June 13. A male snatched a purse containing keys, cash and a bank card from a female pedestrian, then fled in a vehicle with a male accomplice.

NEW YORK AND FAIRVIEW AVENUES, 10:15 p.m. June 14. When a male driver stopped to adjust an item in the back of his vehicle, he was robbed of cash and an ATM card by two males.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 2000 block, 10:21 a.m. June 12. Two gunmen entered a bank and demanded cash. No further information about the incident was available from

police.

SOUTH DAKOTA AVE., 4900 block, 10:30 to 10:38 p.m. June 11. A masked gunman got out of a vehicle and demanded property from a male motorist at a service station. The driver complied, and the robber,

accompanied by three male accomplices, fled with clothes, documents and a cell phone.

SOUTH DAKOTA AVE., 5500 block, 7:33 to 7:34 p.m. June 16. A gunman entered a convenience store, jumped over a

counter and took cash from two cash

registers.

THIRD ST., 1000 block, 12:15 a.m. June 16. A male assaulted a female pedestrian and robbed her of property.

10TH AND FRANKLIN STREETS, 2:35 p.m. June 14. Two males demanded cash from a male pedestrian. The pedestrian was assaulted when he did not respond.

ABBEY PL., 1100 block, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 15. Property was stolen from a residence entered by smashing a basement window.

CHANNING ST., 1400 block, 9:30 a.m. June 10 to 7:30 a.m. June 11. A lawn mower and other property were stolen from a residence entered through a garage.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

BUCHANAN ST., 1200 block, 9 p.m. May 26. A sexual assault was reported at a home.

NORTH DAKOTA AVE., 9 p.m. June 16. A man sexually assaulted three people at a home.

VAN BUREN ST., 300 block, 9:20 p.m. June 16. A male teenager grabbed a female's buttocks in a park area, and another male teenager hit her in the face.

ROBBERIES

ADAMS MILL RD., 2900 block, 7 p.m. June 11. Two male juveniles demanded a purse from a female pedestrian. The female refused, and the males fled.

COLORADO AVE., 5500 block, 11:30 p.m. June 14. Two men approached a 25-year-old woman while she was punching numbers into a building entry keypad. One man said, "Hey baby, can we talk?" The woman said she had a boyfriend. The man then grabbed her purse and fled.

COLUMBIA RD., 700 block, 8:57 to 9:03 p.m. June 12. A man asked another male for money, punched him and displayed a knife. A police officer observed the incident and arrested a man, 22.

COLUMBIA RD., 1400 block, 5:50 a.m. June 12. Three males approached a pedestrian from behind. One put a hand over the pedestrian's mouth and pulled him to the ground. The other two punched the pedestrian in the head and took property.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 1600 block, 2:56 to 2:58 p.m. June 17. A woman took a wallet from a female's purse in a restaurant and fled with another woman.

F ST., 900 block, 11:30 p.m. June 15.

A female noticed property had been stolen from her purse in a restaurant. Two

suspects were seen going from group to group. A woman, 30, and a man, 42, were arrested.

FLORIDA AVE., 300 block, 11:05 p.m. June 11. Three males in a vehicle pulled up behind a male at a bank. One got out and demanded cash. The victim complied.

FLORIDA AVE., 1700 block, 7:04 p.m. June 16. A man robbed a convenience store at gunpoint and fled.

GALLATIN ST., 1200 block, 5:40 a.m. June 11. A male demanded a package from a 43-year-old female pedestrian. He grabbed her arm and her purse. During a struggle, the woman fell and was injured. The man took the purse, papers and Tylenol.

GEORGIA AVE., 3500 block, 12:35 p.m. June 13. A man entered a convenience

store and played a video game, then

pointed a gun at an employee's head and said, "Give up the money, Pop." He forced the man into the rear of the store and took property.

GEORGIA AVE., 6400 block, 9:25 a.m. June 14. A male passenger got out of a car, approached a pedestrian crossing the street and took keys and a purse at gunpoint.

GIRARD ST., 1400 block, 6 to 6:50 p.m. June 12. A visitor at a home became belligerent when his host told him he could not stay. The visitor punched the host, causing an eye injury, and took property before fleeing.

HARVARD ST., 1400 block, 1 a.m. June 10. A man got out of a car and robbed two pedestrians of a wallet, a purse and credit cards at gunpoint.

HARVARD ST., 1700 block, 1 to 1:15 a.m. June 17. Two men tried to enter a building, but someone told them they were not allowed. One man showed a knife and demanded cash, but was refused. The intruders fled.

I ST., 2100 block, 10:35 p.m. June 10. A man, 36, was arrested in connection with a robbery.

KENNEDY ST., 1300 block, 11:15 p.m. June 14. A male teenager sat next to a 36-year-old woman at a bus stop and asked when the bus was coming. Another male teenager approached from behind. The woman jumped up and grabbed her purse, but the first male snatched it from her.

LAMONT ST., 500 block, 5:15 p.m. June 11. A male teenager snatched a purse from a female after she parked her car behind a home. The teenager ran toward Warder Street and fled in a car.

LOUGHBORO RD., 5200 block, noon May 24 to 11:30 a.m. May 29. A sapphire and diamond ring was taken from a female's hand while she was in the hospital.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 1-99 block,

6:50 p.m. June 11. Someone in a bathroom stall in a bus or train station snatched

property from the floor of the next stall and fled.

MOUNT PLEASANT ST., 3000 block, 1:50 to 1:51 p.m. June 15. A man approached a pedestrian from behind, took her purse and fled. A witness chased the man. The thief dropped the purse, and the witness picked it up.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 1500 block, 6:15 to 6:16 p.m. June 11. While entering a hotel or motel, a female bumped into one male, and another male approached her from behind. She later discovered that her wallet had been taken from her purse. The two males fled.

NEWTON ST., 1700 block, 7 a.m. June 10 to 8 p.m. June 14. A man hit a pedestrian with an object and took cash from her pocket.

ONTARIO PL., 1800 block, 11:50 p.m. June 14. A male demanded cash from a male walking a dog. The male refused, and the robber took the victim's glasses.

OTIS PL., 800 block, 5:15 to 5:20 a.m. June 12. Five males approached a pedestrian. One forced him to the ground and took a bag, an ID, a debit card and keys, then fled with the others.

P ST., 500 block, 3:05 to 3:07 a.m. June 15. Two men got out of a car, forced a pedestrian to the ground at gunpoint and took a cell phone. The two fled in the car with another man.

P ST., 3000 block, 3:45 a.m. June 15. Two men got out of a car and robbed a male delivering newspapers. One showed a gun and forced the male to his knees while the other took a wallet, keys, a Virginia permit and a cell phone.

S ST., 1300 block, 9:45 p.m. June 17. Two men robbed a pedestrian of a wallet, a cell phone, a D.C. permit and credit cards at gunpoint.

SEATON PL., 100 block, 12:30 a.m. June 17. A male robbed a pedestrian at gunpoint.

SHERMAN AVE., 2700 block, 3:45 a.m. June 12. A gunman demanded cash from two pedestrians. One had nothing to give. The other gave him a bank check card.

SHERMAN AVE., 3000 block, 10:20 a.m. June 14. A male let an alleged prostitute into his home. When he bent down to pick something up, she took his wallet and fled.

SOMERSET PL., 500 block, 11:45 to 11:50 p.m. June 12. Three male teenagers approached a 19-year-old pedestrian from behind. One put him in a chokehold, and they robbed him of clothing, a wallet, a watch and a cell phone.

FIFTH ST. AND FLORIDA AVE., 9:45 p.m. June 11. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of IDs.

SEVENTH AND T STREETS, 11 p.m. June 15. Two people hit a pedestrian in the face and took a wallet and papers.

11TH AND U STREETS, 3 a.m. June 14. A man approached a pedestrian from behind. The pedestrian ran away, but the robber caught him by the hair, showed a knife and told him to empty his pockets. He took a wallet, four credit cards and a D.C. license, then fled with an accomplice.

12TH AND E STREETS, 8:30 p.m. June 14. A man robbed a female pedestrian and fled.

12TH ST., 1400 block, 9:30 p.m. June 15. Four male teenagers approached a pedestrian and one demanded his wallet. The pedestrian tried to run, but the teenager showed a knife and hit him in the face. Another teenager took property.

14TH ST., 2200 block, 3:45 p.m. June 16. A gunman entered a restaurant and told a cashier to open a cash register. The robber took a cell phone and other property and fled.

17TH ST., 200 block, 12:30 to 12:50 p.m. June 12. Someone stole property from a female's purse while she stood at a vendor's stand.

18TH ST., 1500 block, 2:14 to 2:18 a.m. June 13. Two men grabbed a pedestrian's purse and dragged her in the street until she let go. The two fled with the purse, keys, a license and two bank cards.

18TH ST., 2800 block, 11:45 p.m. June 14. Five male teenagers approached a male pedestrian. One, armed with a gun, said, "Hey baldy, give it up. Do you want to get shot?" The male did not respond. The teenager repeated himself, but his acquaintances told him not to shoot. The five fled together.

20TH ST., 2300 block, 10:45 p.m. June 16. A gunman told three pedestrians to "drop it." He and another man fled with two purses, keys, two cell phones, a wallet, two permits and a credit card.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BELMONT RD., 1900 block, 11 p.m. June 15 to 6:09 a.m. June 16. A plasma TV and an MP3 player were taken from an occupied home entered through an unlocked kitchen door.

CALVERT ST., 1900 block, 6:15 p.m. June 16. A male tried to pry open a door of a home, then fled when a resident said she was calling police.

COLUMBIA RD., 1700 block, 12:15 p.m. June 12 to 8:10 a.m. June 13. Six bank checks were taken from a building entered by forcing a front door.

CORCORAN ST., 1400 block, 9:15 p.m. June 15. A laptop computer and a digital camera were taken from a home entered by forcing a rear basement door.

CORCORAN ST., 1400 block, 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. June 15. A CD player, a leather jacket, two watches, six shoes, leather bags, a wool jacket, two pairs of sunglasses, three rabbit coats and a digital camera were taken from a home entered by prying a rear door.

FLORIDA AVE., 400 block, 1 to 6 a.m. June 12. Saws and a drill were taken from a home entered by forcing a rear door.

FLORIDA AVE., 600 block, 10:30 p.m. June 11 to 9:25 a.m. June 12. Property was taken from a specialty store entered by forcing a rear door.

G ST., 1900 block, 8 p.m. June 15 to 8:30 a.m. June 16. Food was taken from a place of worship entered by forcing a side window.

GARFIELD ST., 4400 block, 10:15 to 10:45 p.m. June 14. A cell phone was taken from a vehicle in a garage.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 2400 block, 8 to 8:01 p.m. June 15. A man approached a female on the third floor of a government building, saying he was looking for a friend. The female said he was not allowed in the building, and he fled out a front door.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 4200 block, 11:30 p.m. June 12 to 1:30 a.m. June 13. DVDs, video games, cash and a remote control device were taken from an occupied apartment entered through an unlocked front door.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 4300 block, 11 p.m. June 12 to 1:50 a.m. June 13. A laptop computer, an MP3 player, a clock, cash, two rings, a watch and a phone battery charger were taken from an apartment entered through an unlocked patio door.

MORRISON ST., 3500 block, 10 to 10:30 p.m. June 14. A window of a house was pried, triggering an alarm. No entry was reported.

N ST., 3100 block, 1:45 to 1:47 a.m. June 14. A garage was entered through an unlocked window. The intruder left through a door when an alarm sounded.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 1800 block, 6:45 to 6:55 p.m. June 15. A man entered a home through an open door and took a laptop computer.

NEW YORK AVE., 600 block, 2 a.m. June 12 to 8 a.m. June 13. Property was taken from a restaurant.

R ST., 1800 block, 5 p.m. June 13 to 9 a.m. June 14. Tools were taken from a home under renovation. The property was entered by forcing a front door.

S ST., 1-99 block, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 14. A vacuum cleaner, a carpet cleaner and a DVD player were taken from a home entered by prying a basement window.

FIRST ST., 5500 block, 8:50 p.m. June 11. A man knocked on the door of an apartment. A resident refused to let him in. The man kicked the door open and entered, argued with the resident and threw a phone.

SIXTH ST., 700 block, 5:30 p.m. June 15 to 6:30 a.m. June 16. Property was taken from a construction site entered by prying a door.

15TH ST., 1000 block, 8 a.m. June 15. A laptop computer with a bag, a CD player and four CDs were taken from an office building. Several office desks were pried open.

15TH ST., 1000 block, 8 a.m. June 15. An attempt was made to pry a front door of a government building.

15TH ST., 1000 block, 6:50 a.m. June 15. A man pried a front door of an office building. An employee asked who he was looking for. The man replied, "Someone named Thomas." The employee said, "We have no one here by that name. Let me escort you out." The man said, "I'll escort myself."

15TH ST., 2600 block, 1 to 6 p.m. June 11. A CD player was taken from a home entered through an unlocked rear door.

16TH ST., 8100 block, 4 p.m. June 10 to 7:10 a.m. June 11. A fax machine was taken from a construction trailer entered by cutting a hole in a rear window.

17TH ST., 2500 block, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 10. Two sets of silverware and a laptop computer were taken from a home entered through a rear window.

31ST ST., 1600 block, 8 p.m. June 14 to 7 a.m. June 15. A vehicle was taken from a private garage.

36TH ST., 1400 block, 2:20 p.m. June 15. A man entered a house through an unlocked front door and left when a male resident came home and found him standing in the living room.

44TH ST., 4600 block, 8 a.m. May 20 to 10:30 a.m. June 13. Two laptop computers and a CD player were taken from a home entered by forcing a side window.

MINNESOTA AVE., 3700 block, 5:14 p.m. June 17. Carlos Sly, 33, of the 6000 block of Amherst Avenue, Springfield, was found in a restaurant with stab wounds. He was taken to Prince George's County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

41ST ST., 1500 block, 3:10 a.m. June 19. An unidentified male was found on a street with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Prince George's County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4 a.m.

ROBBERIES

AINGER PL., 2300 block, 11:25 p.m. June 17. Two males assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of keys and a wallet, then fled with a male accomplice.

ALABAMA AVE., 2300 block, 4:07 to 4:08 p.m. June 15. Two males assaulted a male youth and tried to rob him of a bus transfer. The youth fled.

BARNABY ST., 800 block, 7:40 a.m. June 16. A male approached a female driver of a vehicle and said her tire was flat. The driver got out to inspect the tire, and the male produced a shotgun. The driver got on the ground, and the robber fled in the vehicle.

BELLEVUE ST., 800 block, 2 to 2:05 a.m. June 14. A gunman approached a male driver leaving a vehicle and robbed him of property.

BENNING RD., 4600 block, 2:50 to 3:55 p.m. June 11. A man pushed a male resident into his apartment, assaulted him and took cash. A man, 23, was arrested.

BENNING RD., 4800 block, 2:30 to 3 p.m. April 15. Two males forced a male pedestrian to the ground, threatened him and demanded cash. The pedestrian was searched and robbed of cash.

D ST., 3300 block, 8:29 to 8:33 a.m. June 13. A gunman and another male robbed a male motorist of a truck.

DUBOIS PL., 4300 block, 4:23 to 4:30 p.m. June 16. A man was parking his car when a male demanded the vehicle and threatened to shoot him. No further information about the incident was available from police.

GOOD HOPE RD., 2300 block, 2:30 p.m. June 13. A male snatched a purse from a female waiting for an elevator in an apartment building and fled with two males. The purse was recovered on the sixth floor, missing cash.

HOWARD RD., 1300 block, 3:28 p.m. June 14. A gunman robbed a deliveryman of property.

KNOX PL., 2900 block, 4:05 to 6:05 p.m. June 10. Two males assaulted a male pedestrian, searched his pockets and robbed him of property.

POMEROY RD., 2800 block, 3 a.m. June 12. While a man, 48, was attempting to enter a residence, two people approached and one asked what he had in his pocket. After he said "nothing," he was punched in the face. One of his teeth was knocked out.SAVANNAH PL., 1300 block, 11:35 p.m. June 10. A male teenager approached a deliveryman in a vehicle in a threatening manner while another male youth said, "That's my food." The driver fled. Two males, ages 17 and 16, were arrested.

TRENTON PL., 1200 block, 8:40 to 9:10 p.m. June 14. A gunman approached a male and a female leaving a vehicle and demanded that they place their property on the ground and walk away. The two complied, and the robber took the vehicle and other property.

THIRD ST., 4500 block, 7:30 p.m. June 13. Three people assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of cash, then fled in a vehicle.

10TH ST., 200 block, 11:10 p.m. June 14. A gunman demanded property from a male pedestrian, then he and three male accomplices assaulted the pedestrian.

12TH ST. AND INDEPENDENCE AVE., 10:20 p.m. June 12. A gunman robbed two pedestrian of property in an alley.

MISSISSIPPI AVE., 1000 block, 1:50 p.m. June 16. A gunman and a male accomplice knocked on a door of a residence and would not identify themselves. A male occupant, 51, said he would call police, and the two forced their way inside with a crowbar. No further information was available from police.

SOUTHERN AVE., 1200 block, 7:35 to 10:40 a.m. June 11. Jewelry, a DVD player, a bank card and a video game console were stolen from an apartment entered by breaking a rear window.

SOUTHERN AVE., 2300 block, 4:30 p.m. June 7 to 4 p.m. June 10. A DVD player and a stereo were stolen from a residence.

STEVENS RD., 1100 block, 5 to 10 p.m. June 11. TVs, door trim, a receiver and a video game console were stolen from a residence entered by removing an air conditioner from a front window.

stereo were stolen from a residence entered by removing an air conditioner from a window.

UPSAL ST., 100 block, 6:55 a.m. to 8:09 p.m. June 10. A stereo was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear door.

DARRINGTON ST., 100 block, 5:30 p.m. June 9 to 5:15 p.m. June 10. An oven range hood, a saw, a drill, paint, fixtures, outlets and other property was taken from a home entered by breaking a side window.

GALVESTON PL., 1-99 block, 4:30 p.m. May 12 to 7 a.m. June 14. A dishwasher and other property were taken from a construction site.

I ST., 200 block, 8 p.m. June 14. A man left a home with a pair of binoculars and other property.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 4300 block, 10:45 p.m. June 10 to 8:18 a.m. June 12. Three gallons of paint, light fixtures and other property were taken from a home entered through a back door.

THIRD ST., 1100 block, 12:40 a.m. June 14. A person knocked loudly on several apartment doors. An occupant of one apartment then heard his front door open and found a male intruder in his apartment. Further information about the incident was unavailable from police.
