Practice note: Physical examinations will not be held at any of the five high schools this summer. All physical examination forms must be signed and dated by physician and parents. Athletic packets are available from the main office or Anderson and should be turned in as soon as completed. All athletes must register with Anderson and be approved to practice. All school debts must be satisfied before registering for athletic programs.

Summer Weight Room: 6-8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Aug. 3: Fall Sports Orientation Meeting for players and parents, 6:30 p.m., auditorium.

Aug 5: Football helmet fitting, 1 p.m.

Aug. 12: Football equipment issue, 6 p.m.

Aug. 14: Football practices for all levels, 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Lackey.

Aug 14: Volleyball practices for all levels, 9-11 a.m. and noon-2 p.m. in gym.

Aug. 14: Girls' soccer practice for all levels, 8-10 a.m. and noon-2 p.m. at Pomonkey Field.

Aug. 14: Boys' soccer practice for all levels, 8-10 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. at Pomonkey Field and 7-8 p.m. at Lackey Track.

Aug. 14: Field hockey practice for all levels, 8-10 a.m., softball field.

Aug. 16-20: Football practices for all levels, 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Lackey.

Aug. 16-20: Volleyball practices, 9-10:30 a.m. on track and 2:30-5:30 p.m. in gym.

McDonough High School

Announcement: The athletic department will hold its sports pre-season fall meeting at 7 p.m. Aug. 3 in the school auditorium. All athletes who plan to participate in the fall sports program should plan on attending. To participate in a fall sport, athletes will need to complete a clearance packet and turn it into Lesley Cooke before the first day of practice.
