Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 West St., Annapolis, recently received the 2004 Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings magazine, a trade publication for meeting planners. The magazine recognized Loews, one of the largest meetings facilities in Annapolis, for its meeting-related services, including its housekeeping and creative banquet themes. The hotel also received the Facility of the Year award from the Potomac Chapter of Meeting Planners International.

The Mid-Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Co. recently opened a sales center and warehouse in Hanover. It is the 12th Coca-Cola facility to open in the state. At 298,000 square feet, the Hanover building, at 7448 Candlewood Rd., is one of the largest free-standing Coca-Cola sales centers in the country.

Diane Tamariz & Associates, a full-service Nationwide insurance company serving Edgewater and southern Anne Arundel County, recently moved to 3147 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. The company, established 15 years ago, provides auto, home, commercial and life insurance and moved to a larger location in hopes of increasing its client base.
