More than 200 artisans and crafters and local, regional and national entertainers will join together for the 23rd annual Artscape, sponsored by Baltimore's Office of Promotion and the Arts. Performers include the Commodores, Isaac Hayes, Wyclef Jean, Steel Pulse, Poncho Sanchez, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Mindy Smith, Paul Kelly, De La Soul, Arrested Development and the Violent Femmes. The event also will feature a theater showcase, the Baltimore Opera, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and family activities. 4-10 p.m. tomorrow, noon-10 p.m. Saturday and noon-8 p.m. Sunday. 1200 block of Mount Royal Avenue, Baltimore. Merriweather Series

A Saturday night concert series will begin this week and continue through Sept. 4 at Merriweather Post Pavilion. This Saturday, alternative-rock bands Fuel, SR-71 (featuring Mitch Allan), Charlie Mars Band, Evenout and Mrnorth will take the stage. Future performances include national acts Evanescence, Big Boi, Twista, Live and Cake. Gates open at 5 p.m., concert begins at 6 p.m. rain or shine.
