HOMICIDES

THIRD ST., 1900 block, 8:30 a.m. June 26. Ray Anthony Charles, 44, of the 1900 block of Third Street NE, was found in an apartment building hallway with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office, where he was pronounced dead.

21ST ST., 800 block, 11:30 p.m. June 30. An unidentified male was found on a street with stab wounds. He was taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office, where he was pronounced dead.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

BRENTWOOD RD., 1000-1400 block, 9:25 p.m. June 28 to 10:30 p.m. June 29. A male youth sexually assaulted a female in a residence.

ROBBERIES

APPLE RD., 3100 block, 8 p.m. June 27. A male grabbed a female resident's purse, emptied the contents and fled with property.

BENNING RD., 3900 block, 3 p.m. May 12. A male snatched a purse containing a cell phone and personal documents from a female pedestrian.

BLAINE ST., 4700 block, 10:17 p.m. June 30. A male robbed a female entering a residence of jewelry and a purse containing credit cards and personal documents.

EASTERN AVE., 900 block, 4:35 a.m. June 27. Two males pulled a sleeping motorist from a vehicle, threw him to the ground, and fled in the vehicle.

NANNIE HELEN BURROUGHS AVE., 4300 block, 9:13 p.m. June 28. A masked gunman entered a restaurant and demanded cash. The customers and employees ran and the assailant fled empty-handed.

NEW YORK AVE., 1800 block, 9:50 a.m. June 25. A male pedestrian was assaulted from behind and robbed of cash.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1300 block, 5:50 p.m. June 29. A male in a parking area snatched a purse containing identification, cash and a checkbook from a pedestrian.

SARGENT RD., 5100 block, 4:45 p.m. June 25. A male with a knife snatched a purse containing credit cards and identification from a female in a residence.

SUMMIT ST., 1100 block, 5:57 p.m. June 25. A male assaulted and robbed a female entering a residence of a purse containing cash, identification and credit cards.

TRINIDAD AVE., 1600 block, 2 p.m. June 28. A male assaulted and robbed a male of a bicycle.

FIRST ST., 1000 block, 12:45 p.m. June 27. A male in a bus terminal bumped a person using a vending machine and took property.

FOURTH AND W STREETS, 1:50 a.m. June 30. A man snatched property from a female pedestrian and fled in a vehicle with two accomplices. Three men were arrested.

50TH PL., 500 block, 2:05 to 2:20 a.m. June 27. A male entered an apartment by forcing a living-room window, assaulted a resident, broke a bedroom window with a brick, and fled.

JEFFERSON ST., 500-900 block, 3 p.m. June 28. A male sexually assaulted a person in a home.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1400-1800 block, 2:20 a.m. June 29. A male sexually assaulted a woman in a park area.

TUCKERMAN ST., 300-700 block, 10 a.m. June 18. A man stopped a vehicle near a woman walking on the street, asked her a question and ordered her into the vehicle at gunpoint. He then drove to a house and sexually assaulted her.

ROBBERIES

BROWN AND MONROE STREETS, 5:49 a.m. June 26. Two males knocked down a pedestrian from behind and robbed her of a purse containing cash and keys.

CALIFORNIA ST., 2400 block, 2:56 a.m. June 29. Two males got out of a vehicle that stopped near a pedestrian and robbed him of a cell phone at gunpoint.

CLYDESDALE PL., 1800 block, 11:45 p.m. June 30. A male on a bicycle demanded cash from two pedestrians at gunpoint. They refused, and he rode away.

COLUMBIA RD., 1400 block, 2:45 a.m. June 28. Several people demanded cash from a male pedestrian. A male teenager punched the victim in the face. The robbers fled empty-handed.

COLUMBIA RD., 1700 block, 1:10 a.m. June 26. A man in an alley robbed a male of property. A 21-year-old man was charged with robbery.

COLUMBIA RD., 1700 block, 2:50 a.m. June 29. Two gunmen robbed a male pedestrian of a cell phone.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 2700 block, 2:05 a.m. June 26. A man who implied that he had a weapon under his shirt robbed a pedestrian of her purse containing a hand-held computer, a cell phone and credit cards.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 5000 block,10:57 a.m. June 29. Two males armed with guns fired bullets into a ceiling and robbed a bank.

EUCLID ST., 1600 block, 2:35 p.m. June 27. Two boys, ages 9 and 12, struck a boy in the face and robbed him of a bicycle.

FLORIDA AVENUE AND CHAMPLAIN STREET, 1:30 a.m. June 26. A person with a gun demanded cash from a female pedestrian, who refused and ran away.

GEORGIA AVE., 3300 block, 11:56 p.m. June 30. A male waiting for a food order was assaulted by several male teenagers and robbed of a watch.

HARVARD ST., 1400 block, 12:50 a.m. June 30. A pedestrian was knocked to the ground by a male and robbed of his wallet.

HARVARD ST., 1600 block, 12:10 a.m. June 30. Two males robbed two pedestrians of a cell phone and other property at gunpoint.

I ST., 1700 block, 2:45 p.m. June 25. A woman took a wallet from a restaurant customer's purse and fled.

KENNEDY ST., 700 block, 2:30 a.m. June 25. Two male teenagers robbed a man sitting in his vehicle of a necklace at gunpoint. The robbers fled with two accomplices.

KENYON ST., 700 block, 7:45 p.m. June 30. Two pedestrians in an alley were robbed of a wallet and a cell phone at gunpoint. One of two assailants struck one victim in the head with a gun.

L ST., 1400 block, 3:01 p.m. June 29. A man tried to snatch a bracelet from a female pedestrian. A 38-year-old man was arrested.

NICHOLSON ST., 1-99 block, 2 p.m. June 28. A man attacked a pedestrian with a pipe and took cash from his pocket.

O ST., 1200 block, 6:05 a.m. June 30. A male pedestrian was robbed of a CD player, a credit card and a laundry bag at gunpoint by two robbers. A 20-year-old man was arrested.

ONTARIO PLACE AND ONTARIO ROAD., 2:45 a.m. June 20. Two men approached a pedestrian, who ran when a gun was pointed at him. The robbers caught up with the victim and knocked him down. They fled with keys from the victim's pockets.

ONTARIO RD., 2800 block, 3:47 a.m. June 27. Two gunmen got out of an auto and took cell phones, a camera and a purse from four pedestrians.

R ST., 1-99 block, 10:30 p.m. June 24. Two males assaulted a male pedestrian and demanded cash. The victim refused, and the assailants fled empty-handed.

R ST., 900 block, 10:35 p.m. June 26. A male teenager robbed a pedestrian of property from his pocket at gunpoint.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 900 block, 11:53 p.m. June 24. A gunman robbed two pedestrians of a wallet, a hand-held computer and a shoulder bag.

SHEPHERD ST., 1300 block, 11:40 p.m. June 26. Two males grabbed a pedestrian and robbed him of a cell phone.

FOURTH AND N STREETS, 6:45 a.m. June 27. A man got into a vehicle, pointed a gun at the driver and took property. He then forced the victim out of the car and drove it away.

FOURTH ST., 6900 block, 9:35 p.m. June 25. Three male teenagers attacked a man from behind, knocked him down, took his wallet and fled to a wooded area.

SIXTH ST., 3500 block, 10:40 p.m. June 26. A deliveryman was knocked down and robbed of a key ring, identification papers and a credit card. The victim said that the assailant fled on foot with three male teenagers.

NINTH AND T STREETS, 4:37 a.m. June 27. A gunman robbed a pedestrian of a wallet containing a permit and an ATM card.

NINTH ST., 2000 block, 1:10 p.m. June 28. A gunman took cash from a person in a restaurant.

11TH ST., 400 block, 7:10 p.m. June 29. A man distracted a passenger in a hotel elevator and took property from his pockets.

12TH AND S STREETS, 11:52 p.m. June 29. A pedestrian was approached by three males on bicycles. One pointed a gun at him and took a cell phone and a bag.

14TH ST., 2400 block, 3:45 a.m. July 1. A male robbed a convenience store at gunpoint. Another male acted as a lookout.

15TH ST., 1300 block, 1:30 p.m. June 27. A woman choked and tried to rob a person in an apartment elevator. The assailant fled empty-handed.

15TH ST., 2500 block, 1:40 a.m. June 26. A gunman robbed a pedestrian of cash.

16TH AND T STREETS, 10:40 p.m. June 24. A pedestrian was pushed to the ground by two males and robbed of her purse containing a cell phone and a passport.

17TH AND EUCLID STREETS, 9:25 p.m. June 24. Six male teenagers attacked a pedestrian from behind, then robbed him of property. The victim said he had argued with the assailants earlier.

18TH ST., 2200 block, 4:02 a.m. June 27. Five males approached a pedestrian from behind. One threatened him, then knocked him down and kicked him. Nothing was reported taken.

20TH STREET AND KALORAMA ROAD, 10:15 p.m. June 24. Five people approached a pedestrian and asked for change. When he complied, they grabbed him, took property and fled.

ALBEMARLE ST., 3800 block, 3 p.m. June 12 to 5:30 p.m. June 28. A leaf blower, hedge clippers and trimmers were stolen from an unlocked garage.

BELMONT RD., 1800 block, 4 p.m. June 22 to 5 p.m. June 25. Electronic equipment and games and CDs were stolen from an apartment. There was no sign of forced entry.

BLAIR RD., 6900 block, 4:55 a.m. June 28. A 43-year-old man was arrested after allegedly triggering a burglar alarm at a restaurant.

N ST., 2400 block, 12:01 to 7:30 a.m. June 30. A vehicle containing a briefcase, a jacket and sunglasses was stolen from a closed garage. There was no sign of forced entry.

OGDEN ST., 1400 block, 6 p.m. June 28 to 5 p.m. June 30. A DVD player was stolen from a home entered by smashing a basement window.

ORDWAY ST., 3400 block, 11:15 p.m. June 30. A wallet containing a credit card and a health club identification card was stolen from an occupied house entered through an unlocked sliding door.

PROSPECT ST., 3200 block, 2 to 9:06 a.m. June 28. Property was stolen from a pizza restaurant entered by forcing a side door. A safe was entered, and telephone wires were ripped from walls.

R ST., 800 block, 3:50 a.m. July 1. A woman returned to her apartment and confronted two men trying to force their way inside. They forced her to enter, then searched the home and took video-game equipment.

RENO RD., 4300 block, 7 p.m. June 24 to 10:30 a.m. June 25. A bicycle and bicycle accessories were stolen from a porch entered by cutting a screen.

HILLSIDE RD., 4500 block, 4:40 a.m. June 25. Timothy Lee Bingham, 26, of Suitland, was found in an auto with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

ALABAMA AVE., 2800 block, 1:54 a.m. July 1. A male with a pipe and two male accomplices tried to assault a male at a service station. The victim fled when the pipe-swinging male fell.

BARNABY ST., 800 block, 5:25 p.m. June 28. A male snatched a purse containing cash, identification and personal documents from a female pedestrian. The assailant fled in a vehicle with a male accomplice.

BENNING RD., 4500 block, 5:18 p.m. June 30. A woman with a box cutter threatened and robbed a person in a restaurant. A 25-year-old woman was arrested.

BUENA VISTA TER., 3100 block, 7:50 p.m. June 26. A gunman robbed a male of a dirt bike.

SAVANNAH ST., 1700 block, 2:05 p.m. June 30. A male with a knife and two male accomplices assaulted and robbed a male of property, then fled in a vehicle.

TEXAS AVE., 4800 block, 6:45 p.m. July 1. A man threatened, assaulted and robbed a male pedestrian of cash. A 24-year-old man was arrested.

FOURTH ST., 100 block, 8:50 p.m. June 24. A boy snatched property from a pedestrian and handed it to a male accomplice. An 11-year-old boy was arrested.

SEVENTH ST., 500 block, 6 a.m. June 29. A gunman grabbed a male pedestrian and demanded property. The pedestrian broke free, and the assailant fled in a vehicle with two male accomplices.

NINTH AND D STREETS, 12:35 a.m. June 27. A gunman robbed a female pedestrian of a purse containing cash, identification, a cell phone and bank card.

NINTH AND M STREETS, 3 a.m. June 20. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of property.

11TH AND D STREETS, 10 a.m. June 28. A gunman and a male accomplice robbed a pedestrian of cash and fled on bicycles.

30TH ST., 3000 block, 3:45 p.m. June 28. Two boys robbed a male youth of his keys, then entered a residence and stole video games. A 10-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy were arrested.

BUENA VISTA TER., 3100 block, 4 p.m. June 22 to 8:30 a.m. June 25. A sofa, a laptop computer, a TV and a camera were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a back door.

CENTRAL AVE., 5600 block, 9:30 to 10 a.m. June 27. A bicycle was stolen from a residence entered by prying a basement door.

CHESAPEAKE ST., 400 block, 1:20 to 1:50 a.m. June 30. A school was entered through a side window. A 12-year-old boy was arrested.

ELVANS RD., 2500 block, 11:50 p.m. June 28 to 7:25 a.m. June 29. A laptop computer was stolen from an office.

GALVESTON ST., 600 block, 5:25 to 5:28 a.m. June 27. Tools were stolen from a shed entered by cutting locks off a door. A male was seen fleeing the area.

K ST., 1200 block, 10:45 p.m. June 30 to 6:55 a.m. July 1. Property was stolen from a church entered by forcing a basement window.

SAVANNAH ST., 1900 block, 9:15 a.m. June 30 to 8:15 a.m. July 1. Property was stolen from a freestanding ATM entered with a stolen key.

TALBERT ST., 1200 block, 12:45 p.m. June 20 to 6:45 a.m. June 25. A TV and a portable stereo were stolen from an apartment entered by breaking a rear window.

TEXAS AVE., 4500 block, 7:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 30. A DVD/VCR unit was stolen from

a residence entered by breaking a rear window.

FOURTH ST., 500 block, 9:30 p.m. June 29 to 10:10 a.m. June 30. Property was stolen from a church entered by smashing a window and forcing an office door.

SEVENTH ST., 4200 block, 8:30 p.m. June 26 to 7:30 p.m. June 27. Air filters, window blinds and a fire extinguisher were stolen from an office entered by smashing glass in a front door.

10TH PL., 3400 block, 1:45 p.m. June 27 to 10:50 p.m. June 30. Camcorders, a computer, a printer and a monitor were stolen from a residence entered through a front door.

37TH PL., 200 block, 4:20 p.m. June 28 to 9 a.m. June 29. A lawn mower was stolen from a storage area entered by cutting a lock.

49TH ST., Unit block, 10:50 to 10:55 p.m. June 29. A table saw was stolen from a storage area at an apartment entered by forcing a lock off a door.

HOMICIDES

FIRST ST., 1500 block, 2:18 a.m. June 28. Jamal Lewis Hull, 25, of the 1500 block of Kenilworth Avenue NE, was found on a street with a knife wound to the chest. He was

taken to George Washington University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at

2:53 a.m.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 4700 block, 1:30 a.m. June 26. A man entered a female acquaintance's home with a key, assaulted her, stole property and fled.

P ST., 100 block,11 p.m. June 27 to 7 p.m. June 28. Property was stolen from a residence, which was ransacked. Entry was gained by forcing the front door.

WATER ST., 600 block, 9 a.m. to 5:05 p.m. June 29. Property was stolen from a boat that was forcibly entered.
