The 69th annual Loudoun County Fair runs from Monday through July 31 and features carnival rides, a rodeo, livestock auctions, contests, competitions, cloggers, food, children's activities and pet shows. The Skyline Boys and Signed, Sealed and Delivered will perform Tuesday night. 5-10 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, Loudoun County Fairgrounds, 17564 Dry Mill Rd., Leesburg. The W&OD trail holds a birthday party 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, at mile marker 39 in Paeonian Springs. Live country music by the Brandy Stills Band, light refreshments, video and slide presentations on the history of the railroad and the trail, safety programs, free gifts, prizes, an inflatable slide and obstacle course. Bicycle, skate and outdoor equipment stores will display and explain new gear and technologies. People are encouraged to walk or bicycle from other areas of the W&OD to the celebration site, which has no parking for vehicles.
