ASSAULTS

REXMORE AND PINNACLE DRIVES, 1 a.m. July 8. A person stabbed a Gaithersburg man, 20, in the back. The man was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries.

ROBBERIES

APPLEGRATH WAY, 11400 block, 12:59 a.m. July 1. Three males accosted two men. A Germantown man, 20, was robbed of cash at gunpoint and a Germantown man, 18, was struck in the face. The three assailants then fled.

COUNTRY RIDGE DR., 13200 block, 10:30 p.m. June 27 to 1:12 p.m. June 28. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

CRYSTAL ROCK DR., 19500 block, 5:35 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. July 7. A basket was stolen from a residence entered by prying a door frame.

FREDERICK RD., 19700 block. A business was entered by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.

MARLBORO DR., 24600 block, June 26. A Gaithersburg man, 19, was charged June 26 with fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and trespassing in connection with an incident at the above location.

MAYCREST WAY, 19700 block, 7 a.m. July 4 to 2 a.m. July 5. Cash, a safe, a video game system and games, a paintball gun and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

ASSAULTS

DIAMOND AVE. E., 300 block, 12:24 a.m. July 4. A Gaithersburg man, 46, was charged with first-degree and second-degree assault, weapon offenses and making a threat to burn down a building in connection with an incident at the above location.

DIAMOND AVE. E., 400 block, July 5. A man, 53, of no fixed address, was charged July 5 with first-degree assault in connection with an incident at the above location.

GAITHERSBURG AREA, 11 p.m. July 5. After an argument, two males followed a Silver Spring man, 64, and one of the men stabbed him with a knife. The man took himself to the hospital and was treated.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVENUE AND DUFFER WAY, 9:30 p.m. July 11. Two males shot a Germantown man, 23, multiple times. The man was taken to a hospital and treated.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 700 block, 11:20 a.m. July 12. Three males robbed a fast-food restaurant of cash at gunpoint.

ROBBERIES

CITY PLACE MALL, 11 a.m. June 30. Two youths forced a Bethesda boy, 14, into a stairwell, assaulted him and robbed him of cash.

GEORGIA AVE., 7900 block, 12:36 p.m. July 8. A male in a store ordered an employee to the rear of the store at gunpoint, tied him up, then robbed the store of cash.

ROSEMARY HILLS DR., 1900 block, 12:24 a.m. July 14. Three males accosted a Silver Spring man, 50, as he got out of his vehicle and robbed him of a wallet, a pair of shoes and a leather bag.

WEEPING WILLOW DR., 14200 block, July 3. A Suitland woman, 29, was charged July 3 with theft, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a handgun, use of a handgun during the commission of a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon in connection with an incident at the above location.

UNIVERSITY BLVD. W., 3400 block, 12:45 p.m. July 6. A Chevy Chase girl, 16, and a Silver Spring boy, 17, were charged with burglary in connection with an incident at the above location; and a Wheaton man, 22, was charged with third-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property in connection with the same incident.

WHISPERING PINES DR., 3100 block, 2:19 a.m. July 8. Police officers responded to a call for a burglary in progress and a report of a gunshot and found two males fighting inside an apartment. A Suitland man, 27, had been reportedly bitten several times. A Silver Spring man, 24, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.

Wheaton/Glenmont District

ASSAULTS

UNIVERSITY BLVD. W., 2600 block, 12:10 a.m. July 3. Four males outside a business kicked a Rockville man, 36, in the face and head, then fled in a vehicle.

ROBBERIES

GEORGIA AVENUE AND GEORGIAN WOOD PLACE, 11:58 p.m. July 2. A male forced to the ground a Wheaton woman, 35, and grabbed her purse.

WHEATON METRO, 12:28 a.m. July 8. Two males accosted a Silver Spring man, 38, and one of the males forced him down and robbed him of cash at knifepoint.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

BLUERIDGE AVE., 2300 block, 8:04 p.m. June 30. A man exposed himself from an apartment window to two pedestrians, a Silver Spring woman, 28, and a Takoma Park woman, 30. The women left the scene and called police.

CURRIER DR., 300 block, 8 p.m. July 5 to 7 a.m. July 6. Two hood emblems and a rear emblem were stolen from two vehicles.

PICCARD DR., 1300 block, 12:05 p.m. July 5 to 11:52 a.m. July 8. A man, 37, of no fixed address, was charged with theft in connection with an incident at the above location; and a woman, 34, of no fixed address, was charged with theft and possession of drugs in connection with the same incident.

ROBBERIES

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 6400 block, 9:38 p.m. July 11. A male entered a business and demanded cash from an employee at knifepoint. The employee refused and called police. After a brief search, a male was arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7400 block, 10:25 p.m. July 12. A male grabbed the purse of a woman, removed cash, left the purse and fled. No injuries were reported.

TULIP AND MAPLE AVENUES, 11:45 p.m. July 13. Three males demanded cash and a wallet at gunpoint from a man entering his vehicle. One of the robbers grabbed the man's keys and all three fled in the man's vehicle.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CARROLL AVE., 8000 block, 5 p.m. July 11 to 6:30 a.m. July 13. Property was stolen from a shed entered by forcing a door.

SLIGO CREEK PKWY., 1100 block, 4:55 a.m. July 12. Police officers responded to an alarm in a building and found an office had been ransacked. Nothing was reported missing.
