The Fairfax Area Agency on Aging needs volunteers to deliver its Meals on Wheels to residents in Tysons Towers in Vienna. Drivers pick up meals at Falls Church High School between 10:30 a.m. and noon and deliver the meals to clients by 1 p.m. For more information, call 703-324-5406.

Northern Virginia Senior Olympics needs volunteers of any age to help with indoor and outdoor events Sept. 18-30 in Alexandria, Annandale, Arlington, Dumfries, Falls Church, Franconia and Sterling. For more information, call Lisa Herr at 703-670-7112, Ext. 225.

LEC, a Paris-based nonprofit cultural exchange program, needs families in Northern Virginia to host French exchange students Aug. 3-24. The families must provide room, board and friendship, and will receive a weekly stipend. The students will bring their own spending money and are covered by their own insurance. Haven of Northern Virginia needs volunteers to provide emotional support to the bereaved, the seriously ill and the dying, and their family and friends. Volunteers must be available during weekdays and must be able to commit to at least 21/2 hours a week for phone duty for one year. Training will be offered in September.
