Biting Dog Quarantined
VIENNA AREA, Cinammon Creek Dr., 9600 block, 12:45 p.m. July 20. A dog that bit a person on the hand in a neighbor's yard was quarantined at the county shelter. The case was under investigation.
Sick Raccoon Euthanized
FALLS CHURCH AREA, Idylwood Rd., 8400 block, 7:30 a.m. July 21. A sick raccoon was euthanized where it was found, and its body was disposed of at the county shelter.

Children Take Catbird Home
ALLISON CIR., 4200 block, July 20. Several children found a baby catbird on the ground and took it home. The bird was taken to a wildlife rehabilitator.
Loose Dog's Owner Charged
HILL ST., 3800 block, July 23. A black schnauzer was found running loose near its home for the second time in a week. An animal control officer returned it to its owner, who was charged with allowing a dog to run at large.
Stray Dog, Cat Found
WEST DR., 10600 block, July 20. A golden retriever mix was found at the Fairfax County Public Works yard and taken to the city shelter. It was to be made available for adoption if not claimed.
MAIN ST., 10800 block, July 22. Animal control was called about a gray and white tabby cat that had been in a parking lot of a consulting firm for several days. The cat was taken to the city shelter and was to be made available for adoption if not
