Interchange Hearing

To Be Held Tonight

A public hearing on the planned construction of an interchange at Routes 32 and 144 in western Howard County is scheduled for 7 tonight in Dayton.

A hearing on the project was held five years ago, but development in the area has added residents near the planned interchange and made design changes necessary, said Valerie Burnette Edgar, a spokeswoman for the State Highway Administration.

The interchange is part of a plan, not yet funded, that would widen a nine-mile section of Route 32 from two lanes to four, she said.

The hearing will be held at the State Highway Administration office at 4401 Sykesville Rd.
