The Fairfax Area Agency on Aging needs volunteers to deliver for the Meals on Wheels program to residents in the Centreville-Chantilly area. Drivers pick up meals at Fair Oaks Hospital between 10:30 a.m. and noon and deliver the meals to clients by 1 p.m. For more information, call 703-324-5406.

No More Homeless Pets needs volunteers to help organize events to promote the adoption of pets throughout the region. Volunteers are needed to assist with graphic design, newsletter design, crafts, corporate sponsorship, fundraising, the spay and neuter program, animal adoption programs and more. The Washington Area Bicyclist Association needs volunteers to help with the 32-mile Giant Food

BikeDC ride in September. It needs help with tour marshaling, the children's bike rodeo, rider registration and more.

The Northern Virginia AIDS Ministry needs volunteers for its Pals Mentoring Program, which provides one-to-one mentoring for children infected or affected by HIV or AIDS. Training and support are provided. A one-year commitment to visit a "pal" twice a month is required. An agency-funded background check is required. The Fairfax Victim Assistance Network needs volunteers to work on its sexual assault and domestic abuse crisis hotline. The work can be done from home. Bilingual and bicultural volunteers are encouraged to help. Training will be provided. For more information, call 703-360-7273.
