Ashburn Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BLACKSMITH SQ., 43000 block, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 22. Two bicycles were stolen.

CROSSROADS DRIVE AND BLACKSMITH SQUARE, noon July 24 to 9:20 p.m. July 26. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle.

MAIDEN CREEK CT., 43000 block, 1:20 to 1:35 a.m. July 25. A man tried to remove a stereo from a vehicle. He fled when the owner appeared.

SILKWORTH TER., 44000 block, 7 p.m. July 21 to 10 a.m. July 22. A CD player was stolen from a vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

FINDON CT., 21000 block, 12:30 a.m. July 27. A white 1995 Acura Integra was stolen.

Leesburg Area

ASSAULTS

HUNTMASTER TER. NE, 1000 block, 8:21 p.m. July 22. Verbal threats were reported to police.

MARKET ST. E., 500 block, 7:41 p.m. July 22. An assault was reported to police.

VANDERBILT TER., 700 block, 8 p.m. July 22. Telephone harassment at a residence was reported to police.

WASHINGTON ST. NE, 200 block, 4 p.m. July 22. An assault at a residence was reported to police.

ROBBERIES

FIELDSTONE DR. NE, 700 block, 11:03 p.m. July 22. A person grabbed a purse from a woman and fled. An ATM card that was in the purse was used to make a transaction. Charges are pending against a person identified as making the transaction.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

COVINGTON TER. NE, 500 block, 11:03 a.m. July 24. A vehicle gas cap was stolen.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 12:45 p.m. July 25. Shoplifting at a business was reported to police.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 1-100 block, 5:50 p.m. July 26. A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle.

GATEWAY DR. SE, 700 block, 4:12 p.m. July 24. CDs and clothing were stolen from a vehicle.

MARKET ST. E., 100 block, 2:49 p.m. July 23. A platter was stolen from a business.

PLAZA ST. NE, 1-100 block, 1:34 a.m. July 28. Five bottles of alcohol were stolen from a residence.

ROCKBRIDGE DR. SE, 600 block, 4:25 p.m. July 26. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

VANDALISM

BALLS BLUFF RD. NE, 700 block, 2:20 a.m. July 28. Door molding was damaged.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 3:14 a.m. July 24. Two vehicle tires were deflated.

MARKET ST. W., 1-100 block, 1:42 p.m. July 24. Two vehicle tires were deflated.

SYCOLIN RD. SE, 1000 block, 11:38 a.m. July 22. A vehicle door was scratched.

ASSAULTS

GREAT TRAIL TER., 22000 block, 3:13 p.m. July 23. A landscaper mowing grass was wounded by pellets fired from a BB gun. Charges are pending against a 15-year-old boy.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

COMMUNITY PLAZA, 47000 block, 1:30 p.m. July 22. A wallet was stolen from a purse in a shopping cart.

POTOMAC VIEW ROAD AND RIVER MEADOWS TERRACE, 6 p.m. July 21 to 7 p.m. July 22. A stereo and speakers were stolen from a vehicle entered by damaging a window.

TREFOIL LANE, 45000 block, 6 p.m. July 21 to 7:15 a.m. July 22. An attempt was made to enter a business.

VANDALISM

CONCORD CT. S., 600 block, 8 p.m. July 23 to 12:30 p.m. July 24. A vehicle was scratched.

GREENCASTLE RD., 1-100 block, 11 p.m. July 24 to 12:45 p.m. July 25. A vehicle was marred by paint.

LAUREL AVE., 400 block, 9 p.m. July 19 to 10:30 a.m. July 20. Padlocks and a roll-up door were damaged at a school concession stand.

LAUREL AVE., 400 block, 9 to 10:30 a.m. July 22. A vehicle side mirror was damaged.
