THEFTS/BREAK-INS

TONGUE COVE LANE, 7:15 a.m. July 23. Diving equipment, including a black nylon bag, a regulator and two Kirby Morgan helmets, was stolen from a storage trailer at a residence.

Owings Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

KEITH LANE, July 26. A screw gun, hammer drill and a Ridgid/Kollmann drain cleaning machine were stolen from a work truck.

Charles County

COATES HARDY PL., 11:30 a.m. July 20. A man, 21, and a boy, 14, were riding a stolen all-terrain vehicle. They were charged with first-degree burglary, possessing a stolen motor vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft over $500.

Bryans Road Area

ASSAULTS

ORETO LANE, 6400 block, 8:37 p.m. July 13. A man, 31, assaulted a woman, 20, with a gun and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

GREENVILLE DR., 6200 block, between 9:30 p.m. July 23 and 2:30 a.m. July 24. Televisions and cash were stolen from a residence.

Indian Head Area

ASSAULTS

CHINA BERRY LANE, 10:30 p.m. July 12. A man, 42, forced his way into a residence and assaulted a woman, 32. He was charged with second-degree assault, first-degree burglary and fourth-degree destruction of property under $500.

MATTINGLY AVE., 12:05 p.m. July 25. A man, 20, assaulted two police officers during a traffic stop. He was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, resisting arrest, trespassing and reckless driving.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DAVIS DR., 9 p.m. July 13. Two men, 36 and 45, entered a residence and assaulted a woman, 41. Another man, 38, attempted to help the woman and was assaulted by one of the two men. The man who was assaulted attempted to leave the residence and escape in a vehicle. The 36-year-old assailant held onto the vehicle and was subsequently run over. He was flown to Prince George's Hospital Center. Charges are pending. The other assailant was charged with fourth-degree burglary.

BOX TURTLE CT., 5 p.m. July 10 to 6 a.m. July 14. Lumber was stolen from a construction site.

PORT TOBACCO RD., 2600 block, July 16-18. An air compressor and nail gun were stolen from a residence under construction.

PORT TOBACCO RD., 1900 block, 12:30 p.m. July 21 to 12:30 p.m. July 22. A go-cart was stolen from a shed at a residence.

SEX OFFENSES

FALCON PL., 4100 block, 2 a.m. July 11. A man, 26, assaulted a woman, 28, with a knife and sexually assaulted her. He was charged with first-degree assault and first-degree sex offense.

AUDREY MANOR CT., 6:45 p.m. July 18 to 6 a.m. July 19. A generator was stolen from a construction site.

BENSVILLE RD., 7000 block, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 16. A handgun was stolen from a residence.

BILLINGSLEY RD., 9000 block, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 16. Property was stolen from a residence.

BILLINGSLEY RD., 8000 block, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 16. Property was stolen from two residences.

BROADBILL CT., 4000 block, midnight to 2:55 p.m. July 15. Keys and money were stolen from a residence.

CANVAS BACK CT., 4000 block, 3:53 p.m. July 15. A residence was entered by force. Cash and financial documents were stolen.

GUILFORD DR., 7700 block, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 14. A blue and white motorcycle was stolen from a residence.

IRONGATE DR., 10 block, 3 to 4 a.m. July 9. Cash was stolen from Circus Ice Cream.

JENIFER SCHOOL LANE, 2800 block, 11:45 p.m. July 25. A boy, 17, broke into Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer Elementary School. He was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, having a concealed deadly weapon, destruction of property over $500 and theft over $500. Further investigation revealed he was also involved with a July 8 burglary at Mattawoman Middle School. He was additionally charged with second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, theft over $500 and destruction of property over $500.

KINGFISHER CT., 4800 block, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 16. A PlayStation II video game, cash and bottles of liquor were stolen from a residence.

PRIMROSE CT., 3200 block, 8 a.m. July 14 to 3 p.m. July 16. A dirt bike was stolen from a residence.

VANDALISM

RABY RD., 11000 block, July 10. The words "Heil Hitler" were spray-painted on a barn.

White Plains Area

SEX OFFENSES

WHITE PLAINS, July 21. A man, 54, sexually assaulted two women, 23 and 25, during a physical examination at a doctor's office. He was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of fourth-degree sex assault.

St. Mary's County

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

ROUTES 235 AND 4, July 23. Someone attempted to break into a storage building at a construction site. Equipment was also damaged.

ASSAULTS

ROUTE 5, 10:15 a.m. July 22. A female youth, 17, assaulted a woman, 19, at the Texaco gas station. She was charged with second-degree assault.

Charlotte Hall Area

ROBBERIES

CHARLOTTE HALL, July 24. A man in a black Ford Escort exited the vehicle, then assaulted and stole money from a man who was walking home.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CHARLOTTE HALL, 9:35 p.m. A woman, 35, pumped gas at the Wawa store and left without paying. She was charged with theft under $500.

Hollywood Area

ASSAULTS

HOLLYWOOD, July 14. A man shot at another man in a truck. He was charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property.

HOLLYWOOD, 5:20 p.m. July 22. A man, 43, assaulted a woman, 47, at a residence. He was charged with second-degree assault.

Leonardtown Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ROUTE 5, July 23. A man entered the Dash In, presented a fraudulent bill for repairs to the gas pumps and was paid.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

FENWICK ST., July 23. A vending machine at Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home was damaged.

PART GREEN FARM RD., 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 24. A vehicle was driven through a bean field, and a private gravel driveway was damaged.

Lexington Park Area

ASSAULTS

GREAT MILLS RD., July 26. A man assaulted another man and a sheriff's deputy while he was being arrested for theft from Canopy Liquors. He was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and theft. Further investigation revealed that he was wanted in Prince George's County for first-degree assault.

LIBERTY ST., July 24. A woman was assaulted by a man. He was charged with second-degree assault.

SHANGRI LA DR., July 26. A man picked a woman up and threw her to the ground, causing a bloody nose. He was charged with second-degree assault.

SHANGRI LA DR., 2:51 a.m. July 24. A man, 20, assaulted a woman, 19, at the Donut Connection. He was charged with second-degree assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

LEXINGTON PARK, July 23. An engagement ring was stolen.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

GREAT MILLS RD., July 26. A man spit on a police vehicle. When the officer exited his vehicle, the man became aggressive and resisted arrest. He was charged with property destruction and resisting arrest.

GREAT MILLS RD., July 24. A man broke the windows of a vehicle after an argument with the owner.

TULAGI PL., between 8:15 p.m. July 22 to 5:45 p.m. July 23. The passenger side front window of a van parked at Oasis of Victory Christian Church was broken.

New Market Area

ASSAULTS

NEW MARKET, 5:40 p.m. July 22. A man, 22, assaulted a woman, 20, and damaged her necklace. He was charged with second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property.

Piney Point Area

VEHICLE THEFTS

ROUTE 249, 11:35 p.m. July 25. A man, 38, and a woman, 32, were acting suspiciously in a vehicle. A investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen, and suspected marijuana and cocaine were found in the vehicle. They were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, theft over $500 and motor vehicle theft. The man was additionally charged with giving a false statement.
