ASSAULTS

SOUTH REYNOLDS ST., 300 block, 2:45 a.m. July 25. A man, 35, was attacked by a group of males, two of whom initially approached demanding money. The others then approached and began punching him in the head. The victim escaped and called police. He was treated for facial cuts.

ROBBERIES

MOUNT VERNON AVE., 2000 block, 1:55 a.m. July 24. A man approached a woman, 50, at a bus stop and snatched her purse.

DUKE ST., 4100 block, 2:25 to 2:30 a.m. July 26. Two male youths approached a man, 43, pumping gas at a service station. After threatening to stab him, one robber opened a car door and took money. Both robbers then fled. A Fairfax County boy, 14, and an Alexandria boy, 15, were arrested and charged with robbery. No injuries were reported.

SEMINARY RD., 4700 block, 4:05 to 4:15 p.m. July 27. A man snatched a purse from a female pedestrian, 78. A man, 35, who saw the suspect run by and heard the woman's screams, chased the suspect. He then flagged down a police officer and directed him to the suspect. A man, 21, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with robbery.

MOUNT VERNON AVE., 1500 block, 8:40 p.m. July 27. A man on a bicycle robbed a woman of a purse at gunpoint in a parking lot.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DULANY ST., 600 block, 6 p.m. July 22 to 6 a.m. July 23. Electronic equipment was stolen from a business.

HOLLAND LANE, 400 block, 9:25 to 9:35 p.m. July 23. A maintenance worker reportedly attempted to steal money from a woman's purse in her home. A Fairfax County man, 54, was arrested and charged with burglary.

DUKE ST., 4600 block, 5:56 to 6 a.m. July 24. Bottles of liquor were stolen from a business.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

NORTH MORGAN ST., 5500 block, 3:30 p.m. July 20 to 9 a.m. July 21. A maroon 1997 Ford Expedition was stolen.

KENMORE AVE., 4800 block, 8 p.m. July 20 to 12:55 p.m. July 22. A black 1988 Toyota Camry was stolen.

WEST BRADDOCK RD., 4800 block, 7:30 p.m. July 21 to 7:45 a.m. July 22. A black 1999 Honda Civic was stolen.

KENMORE AVE., 4800 block, 5 p.m. July 23 to 1:15 a.m. July 24. A gray Toyota Camry station wagon was stolen.

CAMERON ST., 100 block, 8:30 to 11 p.m. July 23. A gray 1993 Lincoln Continental was stolen.

KING ST., 4600 block, 8 p.m. July 24 to 10 a.m. July 25. A tan 1996 Honda Accord was stolen.

PARK CENTER DR., 2600 block, 4 p.m. July 16 to 12:30 p.m. July 26. A blue 1996 Dodge Caravan was stolen.

GIBBON ST., 100 block, 2 to 3:04 p.m. July 26. A white 1995 Ford Econoline van was stolen.

KNOLE CT., 5300 block, 5 p.m. July 26 to 7:30 a.m. July 27. A white 1992 Chevrolet van was stolen.

TANEY AVE., 4400 block, 9:30 p.m. July 26 to 10 a.m. July 27. A purple 1994 Honda Civic was stolen.

TRENT CT., 5500 block, 9:45 p.m. July 26 to 4:50 a.m. July 27. A blue 1998 Honda Civic was stolen.

EDSALL RD., 5800 block, 10 p.m. July 26 to 5:45 a.m. July 27. A green 1994 Honda Civic was stolen.

ASSAULTS

NORTH QUINCY ST., 1000 block, 7:55 p.m. July 28. A man, 48, was stabbed in the neck. The wound was non-life-threatening, according to police.

NORTH STUART ST., 900 block, 11:46 p.m. July 28. A man, 19, was found unconscious and bleeding from his head. He was taken to a hospital. An Arlington man, 22, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

SOUTH FREDERICK ST., 1000 block, 7:39 p.m. July 26. A woman, 44, discovered a man hiding in her bedroom closet. The man attempted to sexually assault her. The woman broke free, and the man fled. An Arlington man, 33, was arrested and charged with abduction with intent to defile and attempted rape.

COLUMBIA PIKE, 320 block, 3:18 a.m. July 28. A man entered a business and attempted to sexually assault a female employee, 40. The woman broke free and called police. An Arlington man, 27, was arrested and charged with attempted rape.

ROBBERIES

NORTH GLEBE RD., 100 block, 4:15 p.m. July 24. A man, 39, was approached by a male robber who demanded money. When the man refused, the robber assaulted him. A man, 26, was arrested and charged with robbery and malicious wounding.

SOUTH COURTHOUSE RD., 1200 block, 5:30 a.m. July 26. A man driving a car tried to speak to a female pedestrian, 24. A passenger then got out, took her purse and fled in the vehicle with the driver.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

NORTH CARLIN SPRINGS RD., 5400 block, 10:30 p.m. July 24 to 9:30 a.m. July 25. Cash was stolen from a business.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

SOUTH FREDERICK ST., 800 block. A maroon 1996 Honda Accord was stolen.

SOUTH ARMY NAVY DR., 900 block. A black Geo Tracker was stolen.

NORTH RANDOLPH ST., 800 block. A silver 2003 Acura 3.2 TL was stolen.

NORTH ROLFE ST., 1200 block. A green 1991 Acura Legend was stolen.
