ABDUCTIONS

BACKLICK RD., 6100 block, 3:30 p.m. June 24. A man in the stairwell of an apartment building grabbed a 28-year-old woman and pulled her downstairs. Two residents heard the woman scream and chased the man away. Police located a 34-year-old Springfield area man and charged him with abduction with intent to defile.

ROBBERIES

LEWIS CHAPEL CIR., 7800 block, 11:30 p.m. June 27. Five men forced their way into an occupied residence. A 25-year-old woman was told to stay in the kitchen while a 27-year-old man was forced into another room and beaten. The robbers showed a handgun and demanded cash. They searched the house and took cash and other items. An investigation led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Arlington man and a 24-year-old Lorton man. Both were charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A warrant was issued for a third man.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

FALLS CHURCH AREA, [date unavailable from police]. A male acquaintance of a couple walked into a home and allegedly sexually assaulted their 14-year-old daughter. The girl ran to the home of a family friend after the man left. A 31-year-old Falls Church area man was located nearby and charged with rape, abduction with intent to defile and burglary with intent to commit rape.

EAST TRIPPS RUN RD., 2900 block, 1 a.m. July 20. Two men assaulted a 20-year-old man in a park after he agreed to meet one of the men after conversing with him at a Web site chat room.

OLD COURTHOUSE RD., 8300 block, 2:30 p.m. July 26. A masked woman with a handgun demanded cash from an employee in a medical office. The employee gave her cash, and the robber fled on foot.

PARKER'S LANE, 2500 block, 11:30 p.m. July 27. Hospital security personnel found a woman dressed in green hospital clothing with a fictitious hospital ID badge hiding behind an exterior door. An investigation revealed that she had stolen medical supplies. A 35-year-old Alexandria area woman was charged with burglary, petty theft and possession of paraphernalia.

One man grabbed the pedestrian as he ran toward an apartment, pointed a gun at him and demanded cash. The victim gave them his wallet, and he was struck in the head with a gun and an unidentified object. He was treated at the scene.

SLEEPY VIEW LANE, 8000 block, 1 a.m. July 20. Three men damaged 13 mailboxes. Two of the men were found at nearby homes and arrested. An 18-year-old Springfield man was charged with destruction of property and public drunkenness. A 21-year-old Springfield man was charged with drinking in public.

MAIN ST., 10300 block, 7:30 p.m. July 27. A man exposed himself to a female on the patio of a coffee shop. Police allegedly found the man, and the woman reportedly identified him. A 67-year-old Warrenton man was charged with indecent exposure.

OLD LEE HWY., 3500 block, 10:30 a.m. July 22. A female student in a high school field house heard a person knocking on an exterior door. As she walked toward the door, she saw a man with his pants down, exposing himself. The female ran from the area and informed a teacher.

ARLINGTON BLVD., 9500 block, 3:15 p.m. July 14. Two people distracted an employee in a store while a third reached over a counter and stole property.

COUNTRY HILL DR., 3500 block, July 23. A Trek mountain bicycle was stolen from the front porch of a residence.

FAIRFAX SQ., 9800 block, July 22 to July 23. Seven windows were stolen from a construction site.

ELDEN ST., 200 block, 7:28 p.m. July 23. A deadbolt at a business was damaged.

HOLLY CT., 300 block, 6:44 a.m. July 19. Eggs were thrown at a house, and toilet paper was thrown throughout the yard.

SHANNON PL., 1100 block, 7:14 a.m.

July 21. A rear window of a vehicle was broken.

ASSAULTS

ELM ST. SW, 200 block, 4:02 a.m. July 24. Two men assaulted each other during a domestic dispute. Two Vienna men, ages 21 and 22, were charged with assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CHURCH ST. NW, 100 block, 6:30 p.m. July 24 to 11:45 a.m. July 25. Two pieces of exercise equipment were stolen from a store entered by forcing a door.

COURSE ST. NE, 400 block, 8 p.m. July 21 to 5:30 a.m. July 22. A bicycle was stolen from an open garage at a residence.

JAMES DR. SW, 100 block, 4 p.m. July 18 to 8:30 p.m. July 19. A motor scooter was stolen from the front porch of a residence.

PARK ST. SE, 1000 block, 6 to 9 p.m. July 20. Credit cards were stolen from a vehicle at an elementary school. There was no sign of forced entry.

VANDALISM

MOOREFIELD RD. SW, 500 block, 10 p.m. July 22 to 8 a.m. July 23. Graffiti was spray-painted on a truck at a residence.
